Hey Guys,
Let's talk about dabpress filter bags for a moment, namely is there a particular size that you've either settled on or maybe just find yourself reaching for consistently? I certainly want to get everything that I need but I don't want to buy things I won't use. Right now, my list has 160, 90 & 37 on it. It did have the 120s instead of 90s but psycho suggested the 90s since there won't be much difference between 160 & 120 microns, he's right but I hadn't thought of it like that. He told me that he's a 160 man but said it might be fun to experiment with the 90s, and that's what got me to thinking on my current path. I definitely will want 37s to play with
but if there's a general consensus on a size that pretty much everyone here likes for flower, I would really like to know. I could get 2 of those rather than a size I never really use. So my friends, what size filter bags do
you use?
In the past, I'd often get all the accessories for a vape but these days I'm trying to turn over a new leaf! I also plan to go naked using no bags as well, particularly with smaller quantities as Im learning of course.
Here's another one: should a beginning rosineer go ahead and get the PID sauce plate to decarb and try jartek eventually? Or will developing my pressing skills be enough to deal with?
What are the real world benefit to jartek anyway? Is it worth the extra time/effort?
@gunmetalshark uses a lab hotplate with magnetic stirrer for thinning in his rosin cartridge experiments and they're much cheaper but after asking what my goal was, Gunny pointed out I could just use the bottom plate to decarb, the main reason for a hot/sauce plate is the longer, slower heat needed for these other post-processing techniques. Again, I'm happy to buy it now but not if it's going to be a dust collector for several months. Beyond squishing medicine, the big thing I'm excited about is decarbing some and following the caramel recipe from dear
@Hackerman . Besides the chronic diseases I've had since age 20, I developed Crohn's later in life, it messed with my ability to absorb the goodies in edibles.
Once I was able to try some commercial edibles from CO, ate a lot and got nothing perceptible but I honestly think I might have better luck with caramels, especially if I dose them Hackerman style!
That's it I think, think I'm good with everything else on my shopping list. Thank YOU for taking the time to read this and give me your thoughts and experience with this shit!
