is a great vaporizer for the person on a budget.

while it does have a less desirable vapor to air ratio than the ssv, it still delivers a very strong hit.

i have a buddha for in car use that i plug into a power converter, while my ssv keeps me company at home. i may end up using the buddha more at home tho, after today.

a friend had taken that bong attachment off my hands that i had just picked up a couple days ago and he brought over his nice glass bong with the 19mm gg downstem. the male piece blown by 7th floor didnt fit tight in there, but it definitely sealed to make a nice hit. a real nice hit. the kind of hit that puts an ear to ear smile on your face.
(':

the bong attachment is only like 15 bucks(they make a 15 and 19 mm connection) and most headshops carry a downstem that will fit it and your current bong. it is a HIGHLY recommended addition to pick up with/for your buddha.

the only downside to this is a familiar effect to bong-users.....your herb goes more quickly. but still. with these hits, you dont tend to mind too much.

i got a video uploading(and another short one to edit/render/upload), should be done in about 10 more minutes so you can see for yourself.

I plan on getting a waterpipe attachment soon for 19mm GG. I think I might just order SSV's attachment, even though it is a bit pricier than some of the no-names I have seen, I have the peace of mind knowing I am in good hands :D

It appears, although I'm not sure that we use the same kind of tubing ( I use a vapor cannon ). Mine is the more 'fleshy' rubber stuff, not the hard 'siliconey' shit -- I hate that stuff -- I may have to end up ordering more tube because mine is only 2 feet long.

I'm wondering if it would be worth the effort to get a custom one (all clear with 4 blue dots) to match my BlueDot bong which I would be using it with.... any idea on the price mark-up?

ive always like 7th floor glass. it is thick, meant to handle more of a beating than your average glass.

the tubing supplied by the factory is the fleshy type, but after months of usage it kindof hardens a bit. it definitely is not the hard tubing, that is what they used to use a couple years ago, i was pleased when they switched.

not sure what the markup on a custom attachment would be, i cant imagine it being too expensive tho.

I got my Da Buddha on Wednesday (oredered from VaporGiant Monday - standard shipping) and tried it out last night. So far so good.

The carrying bag it came in has already been tossed out. It perfectly functional, I just cant deal with the pink zebra stripes...besides, if someone saw that sitting somewhere they're definately going to ask "WTF is that" :| . They should have just made them solid black :2c: .

Ordered the standard silver model but got the black one at no extra charge. I do like the black, but I don't like the buddha logo (minor shit).

Gets hot enough to vape very quickly, 1-2min. Had it at 3/4 power to start but after 10min or so I had to start turning it down as the herb began to turn black. 1/2 power seems to be the sweet spot on mine after warming up a bit.

Took some small hits at first to get a feel for the draw and effect. Was a little disappointed after the first bowl (3-4 small hits)....wasnt feeling much. I packed a 2nd and milked it till i got a monster hit. I realize its "vapor" but this shit still had me hacking a bit - kinda like a hack from a bong hit but not as uncomfortable and it passed very quickly.

This monster hit went straight to the dome :D . Very satisfying. The high does seem to be more heady...i was vaping some heavy indica and it didn't knock me out like i'm used to.

I'm digging the hands free also, but I should really buy a spare wand or 2. I'm certain the day will come when someone pulls on the whip and the wands will pop out and break on the table.

Not sure what else to say about it at the moment. Let me know if you have any questions.

Dizz, I put a mouse pad in front of my Buddha so if the wand comes out its not a problem. More an issue from when I first got it but company tends to pull it out.

My new Da Buddha vape is going to be arriving tommorow and I am really looking forward to trying it out. Can people give me some tips on optimizing the use of the DBV and the efficency of the weed. I am also curious to know where to set the temp knob to get the most out of your weed.

Isn't there different a effect from marijuana if you vape at a lower level than a higher level (not burning it of course)? Just looking for some pointers on using Da Buddha vaporizer so I'm ready to roll as soon as it gets to my doorstep Thanks!

D22 - Just looking for some pointers on using Da Buddha vaporizer so I'm ready to roll as soon as it gets to my doorstep
Pointer #1 - Read through the threads (I'd imagine that there are many tips from many DBV (or even SSV) users throughout this site (some with vape porn to tease you while you wait :p )

Pointer#2 - Post specific questions in appropriate threads, showing that you have read all that is already available (some of those with GREAT insight may be more likely to respond)

 It shouldn't ignite if you want to crank it up to be sure the herbs are drained AND Yes, many report temperature and effect relationships (feel free to start at a low temperature and finish it at a higher one later to determine effect differences/preferences  ).

Congratulations on your elevation to the 7th floor (the home of the DBV) .

Hope this helps.

The best efficiency is achieved with small amounts. Unfortunately it's no fun to load just a pinch in the DBV and get a small hit or two. So load an amount that'll give you some nice hits, and go ahead and see what it can do. For best efficiency, take hits you can hold without instantly exhaling. The THC in vapor is slower to absorb than with smoke.

You'll notice that the vapor high leaves you more functional-most of the time anyway ;). As you increase the vaping temp the effect becomes more similar to the smoke high. But even above 400 F, the high is a lot cleaner. Useful temp reference- http://www.canorml.org/healthfacts/vaporizerstudy1.html

Hi all

I just recieved my DBV and I had one queston before I started vaping... Do I need to burn the screen in the wand to get oils, etc off of it???

This is probably the first of many questions :D THX

Just tried out Da Buddha for the first time - AWSOME! :D

I am pretty wrecked right now. The first couple of times there was little to no vape. I turned it up a little (from 12:30 - 1:30) and after a couple of short slow pulls the vapor started pouring out. I grinded up a decent sized bud but only packed about 1/8 of the wand in. I continued vaping and then I mixed/stirred the bud around and pushed it back down with the marble pick. Continuted... I already felt something hit after the second or third good vape hit - the thing is now I was going at around my 10th vape hit and already blitzed... peace out I'm going to enojy this :)

I have my new setup now: (old) Happy Vappy, new Vapor Genie, and Da Buddha. One thing that has not really been addressed in these forums is the fact that both Da Buddha and the Silver Surfer have no way to prevent the weed from falling/getting blown onto the heating core. I fucked up (while high of course) and inadvertently blew some dope down the heating chamber. What a stinky mess. Just a caution when you prospective buyers are comparing vape types. My friend's Vapor Wares box vape has a screen on the heating element that (probably) helps prevent this from happening (we've never been stupid enough or high enough to get weed down into the heater on his unit).

Not a big issue, but I just wanted to point it out.

Best advice I have is that you dont blow into it. It happens rarely when new people try mine and I did a few times when learning it.

I would classify it as growing pains and I say its equivalent to people who use a water bong and messing it up the first time.

Yep, really it's a rare party foul, and it only happened because I was high and wasn't familiar enough with the unit yet. This sucker rocks!! I wish I had more time using it, but family and work obligations keep me away. C'mon weekend!!

Let's say that pretty glass doesn't really move you this way or that. You're indifferent to it. With that in mind would you say the SSV hits that much harder that it justifies the price difference?

I think that would depend on the person-not only the difference in the hit, but $80 is a lot for some, but not for others. tokinGLX, who has a lot of experience with both units, says the difference is minor. For me the bigger issue was heater angle and hands free. I favored the SSV on these two points, but someone else could pick the DBV for the same differences.

I agree with Max, in fact I am one of those other persons he describes as I prefer the hands free and the price of the DB was big factor for me. When the DB came out, I jumped on it.

While I have never used an SSV, those that have compared tend to say that both are similar with the slight nod going to the SSV. The SSV tends to need to be stirred more often due to its more narrow/concentrated air flow, that is why they turn the vape while vaping to get a more even vape.

The DB has a bit more airflow so it vapes more evenly.

I would guess that a novice user of the DB and the SSV would potentially do better with the DB due to a less learning curve but a proficient user of the SSV is likely more capable of getting bigger clouds from the SSV. Still the general consensus is they perform pretty similar in output.

As a DB owner, I want for no other but I am sure their are SSV owners that feel that very way as well as well as other vape owners too.

Hi. Nice to meet everyone.
I received my DB around a week ago. Thank goodness I didnt have to go to work. I was all over the map there for a while! :| ;) :uhoh: :o :ko:
This is my very first vaporizer ever so I tried to make a smart choice all around which brought me to DB.
I keep it fairly chilly in my home so I had it cranked up a bit higher than most. IDK, it seems one minute I would be complaining to myself it wasnt working and was going to send it back. HAHA! Next thing I know Im baked and wondering what time it is but never really caring to find out.. Im So Loving my DB. It takes getting used to vaping after smoking for so many years. I mix them up. I still have the urge to "smoke" smoke. Have not worked up the nerve to try cig tabacco in it yet. That is my ultimate goal.
Any Ideas anyone? I dont want to over-do it with the nicotine, you know?
I do have a questions please:
2) Would it harm the unit if I put something on top of the casing to help hold the heat in and protect the inside glass, maybe keeping it at a lower temp that way?

I wonder why there is nothing on the top, not even a light mesh or something. :/

Thanks in Advance.

eta: I read on and found the answer to a deleted question.

The top is left open so customers can use an essential oils bowl that sits on top. I've thought about putting some kind of mesh steel screen on top to prevent accidental contact with the hot glass (burns: what a buzzkill). Might be a nice option from 7th Floor?

If you have a spare wand and tubing, I'd use it for tobacco. It will screw up the odor/flavor on the wand and tubing you're using for herb. Tobacco smoke stains may also make cleaning the wand more difficult.

I wouldn't do that. You don't need to hold the heat in or protect the heater cover (just be careful not to drop anything in the unit. ;) )

Very happy with my DB as well. Also two friends have already ordered there's too. I wish I'd gone through 7th floor cause the new bags are way less gay than the pink ones.

Got my DB last week and haven't fired up the bong since, which has to be the true test of any vapo. :ko:

Shipping took about three and a half weeks (to the Netherlands), but considering the shipping cost was very low ($10 or so), that's perfectly ok. Packaging was fine, and everything survived the trans-Atlantic trip. The included bag is BUD-UGLY (no pun!), but - hey - it was included, so who cares.

Stuff I ordered with DB: one of the 'ice chamber's (about $65, which is a bit steep imo - I could personally do without any painting on it), extra stir tool, 3m extra tubing (for fuckups and 'experiments') and 10 extra screens.

I have to say first impressions were not entirely positive. My DB has a slight wobble because the rubber feet aren't exactly matched, and the fact that the glas cover actually freely turns over the ceramic heater made me a bit nervous. Until I realized it can't not, so was designed that way - and actually, it's pretty handy when sharing the whip, for it reduces the chance of pulling out the whip, since it can turn left and right a bit.

Material quality is great! The glass connectors feel very high quality, the ice chamber is a solid piece and the tubing is nice and 'fleshy'. The whole thing with the ice chamber attached looks pretty good too, although the DBV logo is pretty tacky, which isn't worth mentioning really. Just don't lose the stir tool in the couch, since it's extremely sharp...

A word on the instruction leaflet: it's very clearly written, and I think a beginner would find it easy to get started with the DB after reading it. Not a trivial point imo.

I tried DB first without the ice chamber and got pretty much what I expected (I've had a Vapor Brothers for a couple of years): strong hits on a nicely filled bowl, less so with small loads. I tend to vape at high temperature (about 2/3 to 3/4 on DB) and blow out a load on the first few hits, with stirring doing very little afterwards. It wasn't until I hooked up the 'ice chamber' (which is really 'just' a bong) that I fell in love with this little beast! Vaping through it is just so much more comfortable: the vape is cooler, there's no chance of any debris hitting your lungs when drawing (something which happened a couple of times with the Vapor Brothers) and, maybe best of all: it really is just like toking a bong, but without the actual smoke, which makes the permanent switch from smoking to vaping a lot easier, and more fun.

On the minus side: the ice chamber doesn't really moisten the vapo, in my experience, so I still get a soar throat from drawing dry air. But I'm confident that experimenting with temperature, draw-speed and actual fluids in it will help, and I highly recommend getting one, since it simply adds so much to the vaping experience.

A week on, I'm very happy with DB, and I have every confidence that it will keep me happy for a long time to come. The DB was a late-comer on my shortlist, which included the HerbalAire, Arizer Extreme and the Volcano. After deciding to forget about balloon vaping altogether, it became a simple choice. I like the DB for what it is: a lo-tech (a good thing, not a bad thing imo!), high quality vapo with a solid manufacturer (they've been around for a good long while) behind it, at a very reasonable price.

Posting this review on other forums too, fyi.

At first I thought you were saying you'd already bought the 1st three (reading too fast  ), and assumed you were searching for the ultimate bag filler. Congrats on finding your 'best fit' vape. I don't think you'll miss the bag feature at all.
