Not necessarily in the form factor of this tube, but I'd think they could replicate the perc structure of a k-nine puggle to make a cool piece:

Basically, a showerhead to ratchet perc.

They work pretty well in the original piece, so I guess something with a similar can setup...

It could very easily work with a dewaar sorta piece, or with the stem that goes in through the side of the can like the original.

Could make for a an interesting recycler setup (I think ccg has something similar), or whatever really...

I just know I always thought it'd be a cool perc setup before I found my puggle, and figured maybe some others would be interested too

First FC-187 arrived. Big step forward.

Well I got my order from Steven. Initial impressions are highly positive. It hits real smooth, nice thick glass, seems well made. Nice.

I also got the recycler pictured in the same order. I am very happy with both pieces. Will be back with more later.

It is an exciting morning here at FC. Congratulations @Mr. Gweilo 420 on the first FC-187 received. To anyone questioning the $5 price bump, this piece would sell for 100+ anywhere else and is well worth the $45. I actually got a message from Steven explaining the price change even though I never asked for one. He said that the factory manager informed him that the profit was not enough due to the 12% DHgate fee they must pay and the thick glass used increased shipping weight. Everyone should be incredibly happy with what they are getting for the price and if you have any complaints you should start buying glass from aqualab.

Anyways here is the finished version of the mini peyote pillar on the right. I don't have a price or release date yet but it will be fair and be available soon enough.

Edit: also diffusion pump will be priced at $40 and I will hopefully have pictures of FC-242 prototype later this week

Ha! I know that's right. That's how you know China is full of slave labor. There is no fucking way in hell if I made a peyote pillar (in my dreams) that I would charge 100$. I honestly don't understand how on gods green earth China makes any money. They must pay this poor Chinese blowers pennies a day!

I believe there are 2 political issues here:

As VaPed&CoNfUsEd stated, They do pay these chinese blowers a very low wage but is much more than they ever received before. As a chinese American, a lot of Americans believe that the Chinese workers are being underpaid (which they definitely are). But in their perspective, they are happy to have a JOB. in some parts of China,

You can live off a few dollars a day. So don't feel sorry for them.

The second issue is IP. That is a whole different debate, but I believe in competition and capitalism. Designs are ripped off but the original is usually better (but not by much). I just bought a dhgate, but also bought 2 pukinbeagle? off their website, buy one get one free. Paid about 150 for the pukinbeagle pieces.

Wow four votes on a poll that barely anyone voted in, is all it took to change my design. He posts I've made of it have gotten more likes lol

I guess some other seller will get to make it the way it was originally designed then. An actual fc 186, because that's what it is. The piece that this thread was created for and got a ton of support.

I know that you think I am pushing my own addenda but that is just not true. If you really want to know what neck I like most it is angled straight neck.

open-minded to making designs that have received a lot of positive feedback. I also made this post

You are free to contact any blower you want to make your dreams come true. Just please don't contact Steven and bother him about the neck. I know that it has already happened at least once. I did a lot of legwork on this and don't appreciate people trying to go around me

No... Your large pillar will be. The fc-186 won't. Even if someone else has to make it. Which is possible.

Also, the same legwork you feel you did that is getting gone around, is how it feels with you saying what the piece will be changed to, PERIOD.

You got the fc-187 made well... That's all you. That's great. This is a different idea.
Only decided to not send it to other blowers myself, because you were already in contact with one and said they seemed dismissive of the idea, but some are quite easy to communicate with actually, and also because Steven seemed nice enough to get the opportunity to have this best seller be from his store. Talking to them and sending pics, isn't that much work. Not as much as defining them. I know. Especially since they speak English well enough to get ideas across easily when you can photoshop them.

If you don't want to ask Steven to make it, that's fine, but people here liked it as it was. You decided someone should edit my design to have a top bent neck, which is a flaw on this piece, for no reason. Completely unnecessary change to someone else's design.

The design will be passed on to him first to give him the chance before someone else is given the free business, since he seems to be cooperative and nice. If he declines, that's fine. Someone else is lined up.


Also, I'd appreciate not being told to chill out. I'm not un-chilled. I've been very patient. Coming online to see this undiscussed change/decision is just annoying tho. "It will not be the FC-186 and will have nothing to do with the original 186". Especially since it IS the fc-186 based off of the gb-186+a sovereignty pillar.

Please let us FCers know when this is available for purchase. I don't know much about glass and will let the professionals design and create. I love how you are incorporating people's likes/dislikes.

The reason so many people liked your post was because of the mini and the full size. Not the mouthpiece. As proof look at your other post where you have no likes as opposed to @blankrider's..

I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just confused on why you attacking him when he's done so much work to get us incredibly beautiful pieces for unbelievable prices.. If your not happy with it your more than welcome to pay full price or get something else. Sorry if I offend anyone but that's just my

Nope. Im referring to the original post and the one i made in the cheap bubbler thread before anyone knew anything about a mini.

I'm not attacking anyone. But I am also capable of passing on pics to these sellers and having them make them. A few have already agreed, and it isn't as difficult as some people think. The hardest part, is doing the picture editing.

Blankrider was just supposed to middleman my design over to the chinese to get it made, since right off the bat, it got great feedback in both threads. Turns out, Steven speaks english pretty well, and isn't difficult to work with. Neither are some other sellers, who are already supported by FC. Just figured, out of courtesy to steven, for doing such a good job with the fc-187 that I'd give him the first opportunity to make the FC-186.

Also, "that weird mouthpiece" is what people pay several hundred for on the original, so if we are going to put weird things like the top of the mini pillar, just because it is in the original, then changing it to a worse one just seems even less logical.

Not here to argue. Made this thread so people who could design pieces, could get their designs critiqued, and then made. Not so every design would go through the same people for final decisions before getting messaged to the glass blowers.
