I think it's the perfect little thing for my M and my Arizer stems, it's going to help me out so much since all of my vapes that I use are stem-style vapes.

I cut a finer screen I had laying around down to the size for the spittoon, I replaced the bottom one. I figured it would keep more particles from flying out. I'm wondering if it's even worth doing the second screen the same way?

It may restrict somewhat but it's negligible.

Lol,

The reason for the original screen selection was a balance between proper airflow and a material stiff enough to stick into the spittoon's rubber as best as possible.

In testing, a fine screen will work better to reduce any super fine particulate matter (especially if you stir frequently while vaping), however the finer screen seems to require substantially more maintenance to keep the internal screen clear of debris.

If replacing with a finer screen, I suggest using a brush (the metal or poly brushes included with most vapes work just fine) to brush debris off the internal screen at least once a month depending on your usage. Again this is all from my experience, however if most people do gravitate towards a finer screen configuration, I'll be more than happy to source an alternative screen and pre-install before shipping. Maybe I'll do two different screens? I dunno, I'm happy to hear feedback from users.

I've been using a brush every 3 or 4 uses, I pop it open and check it often. I am liking this current setup, only one of my screens is fine and the other is coarse. Often my herb gets dry being stored a long time, so it gets dusty and I prefer being able to reduce the particulate over a higher air flow.

(I'm being lazy and not cutting another screen. )

A question for those in the know.

I have an old ass Mighty #MY000304 and the og fins that hold the cu on are cracking on me finally. It's now 3 years old. Which of the wpa's would be the best choice to lengthen the life of my unit? V2 or v3?

It seems to me that the v3 is a better choice for a new unit than the v2, but with an old ass Mighty would the v2 be gentler on my unit since it uses the base of the og cu?

Should I JB Weld my fins back together to be stronger? Thank you.

The v2 Cu-Mod design has actually been discontinued. Those were made in-house and I wasn't very happy with the manufacturing process or the finished result. The V3 performs substantially better.

The V3 WPA uses rubber threads to prevent over-stressing your mighty's plastic threads.

However if you are still extremely concerned about the condition of your plastic threads, the other alternative option is my V1 design which connects to the mouthpiece of the cooling unit to provide an even smoother hit (although I personally prefer my V3 WPA with my Crafty over my V1 mouthpiece). If your fins are that broken on the Mighty, PM me and I might be able to find an old b-stock CU-Mod laying around, but it wouldn't be in perfect condition (rejected castings, bubbles in rubber)

So I have found a semi-permanent resting place for my spittoon, it's in my car door's cupholder. It rains here frequently so being able to dump a bowl out without rolling down my window is a game changer. It's short enough with the stock jar that it peeks out. It's not conspicuous either, it's a rather odd-shaped black topper.

Wanted to give a huge shout out and thank you to @Ratchett

I placed a couple orders for some water pipe adapters and a few other accessories a couple weeks ago. My order got held up at customs for a few days but shipping was prompt and well packaged.

I received everything I ordered and a couple extra goodies; Ratchet tossed in a couple extra loading funnels and the split packages kept the cost low so I avoided duties.

I do wish we had a Canadian distributor for the Delta 3D Studios products - shipping is a bitch.

I'm always impressed with the quality of the water pipe adapters - my most recent addition is the small nearly universal water pipe adapter (Song). It needed to air out a bit before first use but I'm loving the fit on 14mm and 18mm pipes.

I was concerned it would be difficult to use with a DynaVap M, but the small size and tight fit keep everything steady during heating and ripping.


I'm going to need to get one of those shovels - surprised I haven't pulled the triggered


Quality products I find myself reccomending to all my vaporent friends time and time again.

Right now things are a bit quiet as I'm extremely busy trying to process all these black friday orders (sorry for everyone still waiting on your orders, all my printers are hard at work printing 24/7 right now)

I can officially say I have successfully outgrown the small room I've been working out of for the past few years and currently in the process of shopping for a new home for the studio. Hopefully after the holiday season I'll have time to move into the new space.

Once I have the studio fully up and running I'll be investing a LOT of money in upgrading the business operations. I can't wait to share the new studio setup once I have all my new gear installed and running. I've got a lot of new inventions planned for the new equipment. Biggest issue I have right now is a lack of space for all the high tech tooling I want to add to the studio.

I mentioned this in a reply on reddit too ... but could sure use some FF2 accessories! In particular, a caddy for pairs of concentrate pads to carry pre-loaded concentrate sandwiched between them for easy on-the-go use would be awesome.

Ideally a few different sizes, maybe for 3 to 8? Different dimensions? 1x3, 2x2, 1x4, 1x5 ... (I'd really be interested in the 1x3 and 1x5 I think ...) Would be good if they were somewhat heat tolerant as well and one could use the lid to tap out the pads from inside the FF2 bowl as soon as one is complete. ... I'm currently just using a silicone concentrate container for this ...

dimensions to fit the pairs of concentrate pads are 7mm depth and 14mm radius (approximately ... that gives enough margin to allow movement and so nothing gets stuck I think)

I might send you a sketchup drawing to communicate my ideas if you like. (I could have a buddy print it too ... but this might be something that would be up your alley, and that other FF2 users would be interested in ... as well you might have some ideas of your own to contribute to it to make it that much better!)

Ah, that's the gotcha part. Silicone is the only thing we could probably use, and the silicone I'd *want* to use costs a lot of money to setup the molds for the machines. Like we need or order a few thousand copies to even pay off the setup costs. Plastic isn't a problem, flexible plastic was my original idea.

But for an FDA compliant, heat safe material. We need a high quality silicone rubber. The flexible rubber I use in-house *could* work, but due to the size of the casting, I'd much rather have a professional cast the silicone for me using those FDA approved materials.

I might send you a sketchup drawing to communicate my ideas if you like. (I could have a buddy print it too ... but this might be something that would be up your alley, and that other FF2 users would be interested in ... as well you might have some ideas of your own to contribute to it to make it that much better!)

The ooze factor isn't bad ... although obviously depending on your concentrate ... the most runny one I have is more sappy ... and would probably take a few hours to move an inch on silicone ... so little concern of it coming out of the "sandwiches" as long as they don't come apart ... (I've noticed the occasional spec of rosin on the inside of the container I assume just from the edges of the sandwich ... + bouncing around in the container some my sandwiches don't always stay 100% aligned)

The heat tolerance factor is a "nice-to-have" ... could always cool before placing back in container or if one is in a hurry also carry around a very small silicone container for dumping out and holding the hot pads; this would be like the Mighty/Crafty caddy ... it's obviously not very heat tolerant ... so I cool and empty my capsules before placing the empty ones back in ... and that hasn't been too bad.

I've got a crude drawing of the 1x3 base ... so that would give you an idea (no top in the Sketchup yet ... ) I've made them with a round opening, but could also be done with a "slot" opening.

Delrin is an awesome material for CNC machining (cuts like butter), and indeed Natural POM is FDA food safe. However, while technically 3D printable, the material can degrade while 3D printing and emit a nasty Formaldehyde gas which isn't safe for my current 3D printing environment. I need to invest in a heavy duty ventilation system to safely 3D print Delrin and other high temp materials.

My new studio will have a powerful ventilation system and several more powerful 3D printers to handle these more exotic materials. 2018 is going to be an exciting year for Delta 3D Studios. I literally have dozens of inventions stalled in the pipeline until finish moving into a new studio early next year.

3D printed Delrin sounds nice, but the printing temperatures still less than 10% away from the vaporizing temperatures of dry herbs which is far too close to offgassing temps for my personal comfort. Naturally the vapor once it's made contact with the plastic should be less than that, I wouldn't want it anywhere close to a heater (like in the case of the Mighty vaporizer where the body surrounding the herb reaches temps exceeding 200C)

I've got a few different projects in the works for next year. I'm really excited to have the space to add more tools to my workshop - all my inventory/raw materials/shipping supplies/3D Printers are currently filling my entire studio (it's a mess in here, I hardly have space to walk between the printers and my workbenches!). Once I have everything organized, I can't wait to post some pictures on my Instagram feed once I have the new studio setup with all my new hardware and equipment

Totally, just for use as a mouthpiece away from the heater like in old Elevape and Thermovapes. Agreed anything close to the heater has got to be steel or ceramic or glass for sure imo
