@Ratchett I am interested in your 18mm basket screen maker. It says 1 inch on the description and the video says 3/4 inch screen.

Please clarify so I can purchase the proper unit and screens.

The Video featured in the product description was produced by @Stu for me using one of my BP380 basket screen presses which is used for smaller stems such as the ENano vaporizer, that press uses the 3/4 inch screens.

The BP465 produces 18mm baskets and uses larger 1 inch screens. Sorry for the confusion

Honestly, I love my BP465 basket screens. I use them in every glass 18mm WPA I own. I've got one sitting inside my 18mm Arizer Air WPA right now as a secondary ABV catch to keep my water a bit cleaner

Thanks for the clarification. I have been using them for everything that fits them. Even at $1 each it soon becomes obvious that purchasing the basket screen maker will save $$.

I don't use 14mm nearly as much, so I guess I only need the 18mm one.

I have not had good luck with reusing a cleaned screen. Any suggestions?? (besides tossing once cleaned of any resin)?

I am using a 91% iso alcohol in a plastic test tube with a screw top. I keep a bunch of them soaking in that until I have about a dozen+ basket screens soaking in one container. I then drain refill with fresh ISO. Then proceed to shake the shit out of the container to dislodge most of the clogged resin.

This usually cleans the screens well enough for my needs. Sometimes a screen will get extremely clogged. For this situation I toss the dried screen into my vape close to the heater, crank the vape's temp to max and then hit the vape dry. This usually cooks out some of the reclaim (and provides a nice sedative hit). Then I'll restart the cleaning process again after having cooked out the buildup (or some of it)

Alternatively, I know some people who like to use a torch to burn the screens to clean them. After burning, a quick rinse with some ISO will remove most of the carbon.

Although I prefer not using fire since I'm always looking for the best flavor possible, and hate any hint of combustion haha

Ohh trust me, there's a state of the art Ceramic 3D printer I've had my eye on coming out early next year. I'll likely add it to my studio before the end of the year.

3D printed Delrin sounds nice, but the printing temperatures still less than 10% away from the vaporizing temperatures of dry herbs which is far too close to offgassing temps for my personal comfort. Naturally the vapor once it's made contact with the plastic should be less than that, I wouldn't want it anywhere close to a heater (like in the case of the Mighty vaporizer where the body surrounding the herb reaches temps exceeding 200C)

I've got a few different projects in the works for next year. I'm really excited to have the space to add more tools to my workshop - all my inventory/raw materials/shipping supplies/3D Printers are currently filling my entire studio (it's a mess in here, I hardly have space to walk between the printers and my workbenches!). Once I have everything organized, I can't wait to post some pictures on my Instagram feed once I have the new studio setup with all my new hardware and equipment
Oh I'd very much love a ceramic version of the urchin (pineapple) stand. The honeycomb one too actually, I'm just about to order another one of those to hold some 18mm bowls. Metal versions would be cool too.

I was sad to see the pineapple stand no longer comes in yellow, it was born to be yellow.

For sure! There's a ton of items that size and larger I'd love to print, but right now the cost to outsource the printing is quite a bit, way over $100 USD to print!

I was sad to see the pineapple stand no longer comes in yellow, it was born to be yellow.

I still have some yellow in stock, if anyone wanted anything printed in yellow, feel free to PM me to check if I have enough for a specific print :-)

I also use 91% ISO alcohol and let my dirty screens soak until I need to harvest one from the soak. I then fish one out with a pair of hemostats and then, while wet, use a can of compressed air with the plastic tube to blast off any residual gunk. Always looks and works as good as new.

@Ratchett I keep forgetting to ask you if the 18 mm basket screen press could use 3/4 inch flat screen and make a shallower basket?

If I had/have a shallower screen then it would take less cannabis to fill the inside screen.

Interesting, I had not tested a 3/4inch screen in my BP465 press so I just gave it a shot. Unfortunately the screens are extremely difficult to press and come out lop-sided with the press favoring one side of the screen.

The resulting screen is more of a bowl shape instead of a proper basket. Perhaps a slightly larger screen might work better but I don't know if this would work for your needs

Thanks @Ratchett . Purchased a PAX pod cover and two pod case. He threw a free pax era case. FC community love.

Cheers! I feel bad when I'm working on something new and related orders come in before I have a chance to publish my new design. So I like to sometimes toss in a prototype when available for those who pulled the trigger before I published the new product.

I love my Slim Case, I keep my pax in there at all times just to keep the vape in mint condition

Sorry for the slowdown of new designs recently. I'm still hard at work trying to keep up with orders while I shop for somewhere to build a larger headquarters for Delta 3D Studios. I've spec'd out a lot of new equipment which I can't wait to get my hands on.

Hopefully next month will be quite an eventful one for me. I can't wait to share some photos of the new HQ once I have things setup.

so, I poked @Ratchett on IG, but I want to poke here and see if other people care, but I totally want a chico jyarz funnel. I personally use mine for ground nug and feel like one of these would be pretty sweet. I almost bought some little wooden salt spoons, but I think a semiflexible funnel would be much better obviously lol

Sorry for the silence and lack of new products recently!

I've got most of the studio packed in boxes right now preparing for a move into the new digs. Only the essential hardware and inventory is left unpacked currently so I can continue processing new orders with zero delays to my customers. Fingers crossed I'll be operating out of the new studio within the next two weeks! (I could seriously use some positive vibes next week, trying to request a government agency to expedite paperwork is a fool's errand :cuss: )

Hopefully by next month I'll be moving forward with expanding the business through some new equipment acquisitions. I've also been reaching out to several reclaimed plastics suppliers to investigate the possibility of utilizing my new machinery with recycled materials to help reduce my carbon footprint (I'll also be working on moving the business to solar power to further reduce my carbon footprint, but more on that later :) )

In the meantime however, any artists/graphic designers on FC have experience with the Mailchimp email system? I could use some help working on April's holiday email blast. Please PM me for more information

@Ratchett Got my Mighty water pipe adapter from the 420 sale today and I couldn't be more pleased. Always hated the mouthpiece and so I never used the device much. Well with this adapter and my favorite glass, the Mighty has come out of retirement and is indeed MIGHTY again!

Question: how do you suggest changing the screen?

Thanks for the sale, the super fast shipping and the free Herbie adapter.

Happy you're liking the adapter! Screen removal is easy - simply insert a small blunt tipped object (like a dab tool or chopstick) into the male end of the adapter and apply minimal pressure. The screen is held in place via a small lip.

To reinsert screen, Place one edge into the lip and begin working into place. I find gently squeezing the waterpipe adapter while applying pressure to the screen helps work it gently into place.

Apologies for the silence recently, I've been settling into my new studio and catching up on all my 4/20 holiday sales.

I'm also making some major investments right now in the business to help tame my manufacturing woes, this summer should be quite an exciting time with loads of new accessories hitting the store.

Thanks for everyone's patience currently waiting on an order. I promise I've got my 3Dprinters working 24 hours a day trying to catch up.

Just a reminder - my 4/20 holiday sale ends April 30th at midnight, don't miss out on this rare sale (I won't have another one before the Black Friday/Christmas season)

Perfect thanks. I look forward to seeing the new creations this summer.

I hope @Ratchett doesn't mind me posting this here, I just wanted to thank him. He gave me some great advice that helped me 3d print a 24mm porcelain stand for a vape. It took a surprising amount of time and effort and his advice saved me some of both. Stand up guy and valuable fc member, thank you sir.
