problemchild, if you are having buyers remorse now, I would be willing to bet you will forget all about that once you use it. I come from an old glass dome conduction vaporizer from the 90's. I thought that was the bee's knees when I first tried it, this is way way different. How you pack the bowl and how you draw the vapor defines your experience.
Using Crafty is EASY but there are some tips, we all cover them through the thread. Biggest one for me was, grind the herb up good and make sure you pack the bowls fairly tight with either full load of material or partial load with the oilpad snug on top. I pack a 1/3 bowl and get nearly 8 hits combined between 180C-210C. I have been so high that I wanted to come down multiple times.
My way to vape is to let it heat up to set temperature, sip slowly for 5 seconds, then go for it full speed sippin for 10+ seconds...longer if you can handle the vapor, it will make you choke if you're not careful.
The screen in the top mouthpiece holes are way too big for my grind, you can replace it with the fine screen which is included in the kit. If you plan to vape loose leaf, which i dont recommend, the oilpad does quite well at keeping ABV dust out of the cooling chamber.
The battery life. What do we really expect, no miracles here, it's a single 18650 battery looking to be between 2500-3000 mah. 4-5 sessions going between 180C and 210C in my house which is current 60F, not really a bad deal, it can be recharged in about 90 minutes. Perfect time to re-up once it's re-charged, yeah?
It's a lot of money and we are fortunate to be able to afford it. I can't compare it to other portables on the market now, so my word is one of limited knowledge, but I will say that it is indeed a great vape and in my opinion worthy of the pricetag. In the coming months and years, it will be decided if the price was right. So far for us, we have two and the they both run strong.
