I only use it with the original temp settings. I get three sessions out of it and load the battery every night to the morning. My only issue is the vibration which works but not constantly.
My theory is that taking the Crafty regularly to high temps kills it early (Mighty, not so much!). Your story tends to support that, in that you stayed at default temps religiously, if I read your post correctly. Well played! My longest Crafty went 135 hours...

EDIT; Not til Crafty #3 did I start with water and high temps. That one lasted two months, less than 80 hrs. Memory is getting fuzzy on those old relics of 2015; went through three Craftys' before switching to the (so far) truly wonderful Mighty.

Sounds right, I pretty much only used mine at the upper temps and max, and had the overheat warning occur many times, but that was on the OG crafty. With only 2 hours on brand new Crafty, had the overheat warning happen once. I also charged when it was warm many times.

Mighty's just keep on pumping regardless of what I do with them.

I just acquired a Crafty..been using it about two weeks...weekend and 1 or 2 times a week. I really really do like it.. Very smooth vapor.....Great taste!!! Software works flawlessly....iPhone 6s..... expensive ...but....you get what you pay for....The bang for the buck is well worth it...trust me....

Forsure dude, just take the screen out of the bowl, use some iso on a q-tip to clean it up (upside down so nothing leaks down into the heater). Replace with a brand new screen, clean exterior casing of debris, and CU cleaning instructions have been posted many times - iso and heat! Clean as a whistle! Just sold mine too! Curious, why are you wanting to sell?

I never liked the amount of plastic used in this vape to be honest... even if it is safe...
also I am not using it... and it is collecting dust...
and I am struggling with vas (firewood 3)
also I like convection vape more then convection/conduction hybrid...
at the end it does not suit my vaporizer use... (I am not the session type I like to take some hits and put the vape aside for later)

So I'm about to pull the trigger and order a crafty from Puffitup, and saw that there were newer versions or firmware updates or whatever. Should I make sure that I ask about that and see if I can get the most recent version/firmware? Just nervous about spending so much on a portable vape.

I pretty much only buy from PIU but just a heads up that my new Crafty was not the latest firmware. If it's that important to you then I think it's worth the extra cash and purchase direct from S&B. Then again, I bought it about a month ago so perhaps his stock is recent now (but it came from a recent stock order so not sure).

2.08 here, 21 hours in and I had my first very minor fault last night. I had my Crafty connected to my phone app and at the same time had a bluetooth speaker connected to my PC. While they were both connected I noticed that the audible temp notification was not working for the Crafty. Once I had disconnected the speaker it started to work again, but worth a mention I thought.

I also find that if I have a good strain and use the app to go up in temp by 5c increments, by the end of the session there is a good chance I will get the battery temp warning message. If I just use the button to boost temp it does not happen. Obviously it does not like being on for extended periods at the higher temps.

I think it's reasonable to ask what firmware you might get before you order, given the $ involved. The latest is 2.10 it seems, but idk if anyone's found anything significantly different from 2.08 - that would likely be just fine. I think anything older is "months" old at minimum; I'd prefer fresher battery in a newer piece.

Is there any info from S&B what changes are made in each firmware update?

New is not necessarily better. For example, they may be just making changes in an update that collects better info for them (pure speculation on my part)

I could be wrong here but I think 2.08 is the newest firmware in the USA and the 2.10 is EU only right now, I think that has happened on the last few fw updates (landing in EU before US, maybe they use us as guinea pigs for new stuff)

Also has there been a 2.09? I can't remember seeing any posts about it but I may have missed them.

I think the updated housing is the only real update that we know about, everything else will probably just be minor tweaks to software (temp accuracy/battery management and the like)

My 2.05 is still spewing vapour like a champ

The important thing is the health of that single battery as @vapviking indicated.

These cells can be stored for years without worry if kept at a storage charge, this is why devices arrive with a partial charge, even if the on screen battery meter shows full it's just because the calibration is off.

All 4 of my Mighty's came FULLY charged. You think the calibration is off and then becomes good?

Yes but it's not that something is bad then turns good, it's the same as mobile phones or tablets it needs ran down and charged to calibrate the battery display, I've had ecigs that showed full on the screen when new but when monitoring the mAh after plugging in the charger it still took a few hours for the amps and watts to drop to 0, so even though the screen showed fully charged the cell was not.

Could explain why my calibration always appears fucked up. I try not to bring the charge down too low, but i'll have to do that from time to time to re-calibrate?
