Site reads "in stock," have they started shipping yet? If so I would expect reviews to be coming in real soon.

Really?!?! I got the Herbalizer end of August and I thought my VAS was cured and now this comes out from Storz & Bickel... I can feel my VAS tingling... MUST RESIST..

I would go mighty over the Crafty because I would prefer to use the unit without the smartphone. 36 watts over 10 watts is definitely huge difference in portables..

Im really eager to see how this plays out but i doubt it will outperform the herbie or even the volcanoes though... Very good portable possibly but power?? Thats what we gotta find out..

I like to vape in the 440F range and mighty doesnt go up to it.. Pehaps 410 degrees is enough for the air to go up to 440 degrees with the help of conduction...

But who would choose this over a volcano at the similar price points though?? Even plenty too??

Curious indeed....

I'm pretty sure that they will perform spectacular but at these prices they aren't worth it for me. They could have made the Crafty thirty percent cheaper and attracted a much bigger crowd.
At these prices they aren't an option for me.

Also: Function over form is very important to me when buying a Vape! but if I was dropping this much on a Vape, it better be sleek. :nope:

I'm excited for the first reviews though.

Bluetooth appears pretty gimmicky/novel to me, probably more hassle than ease when compared to the Mighty... I guess the cost of adding bluetooth to the Crafty was cheaper than adding the LCD and built-in controls.

With regards to the functionality, usefulness and practicality of the Bluetooth ap- Did they bother putting it in the Mighty too?

It looks like VW will be carrying them, I found these user guide-style pages on their support site. There are no links to purchase, and the articles seem much thinner than others so it maybe VW didn't even have any advance on this. Storz & Bickel has their stuff wrapped up tight!

Mighty - Crafty

I checked all the other usual player vape sites but nothing yet.

It looks like the Mighty requires 36 watts to charge, can USB even kick out that much power? I know usb 2.0 can only do 2.5 watts, and USB 3.0 started out at 4.5 watts, although they claimed it would eventually go up to 100 watts, but I am not sure if it did.

If they couldn't get a USB port to kick out 36 watts that is probably the reasons they didn't add usb charging to the Mighty.

I can't wait for the reviews to start coming in!

I don't think there is anything special about having two batteries(18650's?) that would prevent it from using USB. I have devices that have massive amounts of Li-Ion that charge just fine with USB. It probably came down to speed? They both worked, but the barrel charger has got to be much faster.

Still come on! @ $469, it could have induction charging!

Haven't visited FC in while...came in just to see if there was any more info on this since I got the email earlier today.

i have to say that I am very pleased with my Plenty. i felt financially raped after buying it...but its flawless, no hassle function has made it worth every penny, imo

I say this to say that i do expect the Crafty and Mighty to be great products, just because it comes from S&B. That might ruffle some feathers, but so be it. On top of great function, the CS is ridiculously top-notch

I agree, they are overpriced...as someone else noted, one can get a plenty for less than one of these! Still, I'm very curious to see some reviews and video! Interesting to see what they've been working on...

$469 ain't too bad with next day air shipping. Although I could get a lotus, firefly, and vapolution 2.0 for about the same price (all vapes I want to try).

These batts don't like to be cold.
I use similar batteries (for other purposes) in the cold and I end up keeping them in chest pockets, and sometimes in with my gloves. Mine do actually work in the cold, what is affected most is duration of the batteries- cold shortens the flight time on most all my cells

Oh my they are awfully ugly... My electrical heater looks sexier in comparison!

And neither seem to be something I would feel comfortable holding in my hand, with these radiator-like fins all over...

I could get almost 10 chinese vapes for the same price! <-- [troll-bait]

Just read their instruction manual. It clearly states that the chamber should be totally full but if not, to use one of their pads as a spacer because if you don't, bud will go flying all over the place inside and will not vaporize. Sounds like the exact same issue as the Ascent has, eh?

So how is this convection and conduction?

If I want a vape that I can pick up and out down without ruining the bowl which would be better? This? Firefly? Or Smart Elevape?

andygut,
Guys I think I am going to get one. Over the past week I have experienced the premature death of my vapor lab (long story but it is gone) and I am in the market for a great portable. It is mostly for around the house so stealth is not a big issue. My basic requirement when looking at these portables is that it might be better than the Solo. I'm not alone there but I have yet to come across a portable unit that produces vapor that is the equal or better than the Solo. I have been looking at the Haze, Indica (Noir) and the INH05. Actually just got through reading the INH05 thread from start to finish and I'm not feeling good about it. I own the Plenty but to be honest since I got my E-Nanos it is semi-retired. I get it out from time to time but it doesn't really do it for me anymore.

I am trying to figure out the main differences between the Crafty and the Mighty.

- The Crafty is 4cm shorter
- The Mighty has LED lights/controls
- Crafty is 135grams and Mighty is 230grams

Does anyone have any idea what the temperature ranges are? Is the Mighty more powerful somehow?

I think I will pull the trigger soon guys but if any of you can offer any advice/opinions that would be really helpful :)

EDIT: Interesting shipping options from S&B. There is a $0.00 option and a $100 express international

Great Scott!
I am also curious if the mighty has the BT option. It seems like something I'd like (IT nerd) but at the same time I think I'd want the LCD and buttons. BUT if its much smaller them maybe I'd want the crafty if its otherwise the same, just space saved. I literally always have my android phone on me. I have a smart watch, why not a smart vape?

This is something that has me interested for sure, but I have to see how it pans out. No way am I early adopting this until the reviews are up. Ideally I'd see if the local headshop could get it in stock so I can see the size difference. LCD and temp control are nice, but if its MUCH smaller in person... might be worth the "hassle" of adjusting it on my phone. Less pocket space wasted is a good thing. If the battery/power/everything else were the same, I'd be tempted to try the crafty. If the mighty has BT and the screen...clear winner for the price difference I think.

Following it closely, but not with my wallet...yet.

I am a proud owner of the same volcano going on 7 years now of daily use, so storz and Bickel are obviously my favorite.

I have wAited forever for their handheld and my first impression is not so good. It sounds like it's the exact same machine as a pax. The fact that you have to pack the bowl full just like the pax. Same mechanism of drawing hot air thru weed(convection, which is great but hasn't been perfected portably).

But I hate packing my volcano bowl full, I have always just placed a pinch in the chamber and it's the perfect vapir.

I had a pax(I gave it away to a friend) and was disappointed with the thick(burnt tasting) vapir that came with packing it full. And it would not get any vapir if I didn't pack it full.

I hope this isn't the same as the pax, I just want a portable volcano.

Aldo I've never used the oil pad in my volcano, loose leaf works perfect

kuzko,
We expect a full review, Gwello.
For sure Iwien. I have the order filled out. I'm just hoping someone may chime in before I buy. I like high temps and if the Mighty is more powerful then I would prefer it, plus it would handle concentrates better. But if the Crafty is the same except less bells and whistles then that would be my choice. I like the small size but if it is less powerful then I may need to reconsider. I can accept the price point of the Crafty but the Mighty is stretching it imo.

The pax is 100% conduction, so this should taste better, and ideally use less bud, but the volcano is a huge bud hog. I ended up selling mine (just didn't need bags) but the quality is undeniably there with things rolled out by them. The volcano is built like a fine german automobile. In the end I found better home vapes for me personally, but with quality like that its worth seeing their portable that they engineered for quite some time. Hopefully it lives up to what I have built up in my head.

It'll be tough to wait, but the price point makes it a lot easier.
