I'd been out of town for ten days and got home yesterday. Now I just returned from our SuperWalmart, which is the nearest supermarket for 45 miles. The extensive bread, pasta, tissue, soup, frozen foods, etc. aisles are almost completely bare. Never seen anything like this in my longish life. Neighbors just told me that school has been cancelled for the next three weeks. Just heard that my favorite restaurant, which friends and I gather at on Sunday eves, has cancelled their usually fabulous St. Paddy's Day spread and closed for at least a week. Everyone is acting as if we could go on lockdown tomorrow and there's little guidance from either Federal or State government. And we're in a rural county that as yet doesn't have one reported case.
The good news is that my travels were in a cannabis legal state where I bought concentrates and tinctures to try for the first time ever--I've always been exclusively a flower and occasional hash guy. Wanted to try new ways of getting high. So I bought some adult legal Rugburn OG shatter, Black Momba rosin, Super Lemon Haze wax, and my first ever ccell cartridge of oil. Also got both sativa and indica tinctures for under the tongue. This is all in addition to stuff I already had: Sour Diesel and Dakini Kush flower, some gummies, and some chocolates. I feel fully equipped for whatever is thrown at me, other than the virus itself.
My sense is that these unprecedented events call for the tranquilizing goodness of Indicas. But the weather has turned really nice and I don't want to just nap all day. What do folks think: Does all the chaos and scary stuff and closings call for sativa or indica, flower or dabs? Just curious what other dopers think about what we are collectively living through.
