This seems to be one of the few times I've gotten lucky cause it seems like everyone has had to wait for these. I grabbed my 14mm Protege V2 while they were in stock a couple months ago if that, and I had it within a couple of weeks. I use it every day now and have an 18mm Calypso pre-ordered.
However, I waited for four years for a product I backed on Kickstarter once. Backing innovation is rarely convenient and small businesses face much greater challenges without the benefit of economies of scale.

And my dark green (really should call it blue/green) ash catcher arrived.
Delightfully open and 18mm all the way through so it doesn’t impact draw speed.
Fits the Goo Roo, and really looks amazing on the matching Prophet.
Does its job perfectly on the Calypso.

Yes I will update that description too, the starting glass is dark green, also called lake green or teal, once it is fumed it then has a lot of opaque dark blue etc. so the details can be made much more comprehensive

Awesome. The pics are accurate so it isn’t like I was misled and I do keep ordering things in that color.
In hindsight I wish my Prophet was light green as it does have some of the cactus shape and I have nicknamed mine the Happy Cactus already.
Really pleased with how this dropdown works with the Goo Roo, as it is hard to fit with these kinds of pieces due to its wide shape.
You can never have too many ash catchers. But this one is really a well thought out work of art. At first I balked at the price, but it is a complex piece and it does its job brilliantly. And in 18mm!

There definitely will be spare mouthpieces, clear and various colors, I'm not sure if bubble trap mouthpieces will be sold separately at all though... So far we only know of the full bubble trap Calypso setup that was offered, so we'll see? Maybe some spares who knows yet, hopefully soon!
Most glass pieces are currently in stock on the CC website right now including Prophets, Influxes, and bubble trap Calypsos.
@iDRINKBLEACH also mentioned on discord that that last Calypsos that were part of the glass fiasco are going to be en route to CC this weekend.

I saw your message and booked it to the website and bought myself a Protege! I really prefer clear since it's easier to see inside but the blue fume is pretty. Went with clear and I was so excited I forgot to get the other style mouth too. I don't really "need" it so I guess it isn't a big deal.

Anyone using the dropdown ashcatch with the protege v2? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one and just wanted to confirm that the fit and function is good between the two. Thanks in advance!

I can't confirm personally but I do think they are a good fit together, are supposed to be

Yeah that makes sense, I used it with my RBB swooper drop-down, similarly sticks out but maybe not quite as far I think

Having read this entire thread a few times (exactly two) I am still confused as to your role with CC. Friend? Family? I really get the sense you have played a role in their designs or as a liaison with the Chinese blowers.
At worst, you keep appraised of CC’s goings on better than anyone outside their family. But it really seems like you have a hand in things. Especially glass related.
Care to enlighten me?
It’s ok it you just really like their stuff and follow their discord. But you have been here since the start of the thread and I am genuinely curious.

Yep, sorry, just friends through the forum and began messaging outside, beta tested some of the earlier vapes, and yes helped advise on the glass designs and link up with chinese manufacturers as I was testing a lot of different mostly china pieces at the time from different places, and studying others
Prudent. Always a risk with pre-orders. All the moreso when China glass and the many international shipping delays that can also interfere.
But those early pre-order discounts off of retail are tough to say no to. I was very happy with my OG Prophet and wish the current ones still had the carb hole, since the joint in that piece has now broken (tough to tell if due to poor QC or not). Not sure I'd have pulled the trigger over an American glass option at the full retail price.

I am on the fence about the carb hole and ultimately I am happy I don’t have to hold the Prophet every time I hit it. Also you can run it with water backwards. A simple pass through does the trick if you need to carb. But it would be a slight adjustment.
