Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Thanks for the replies about big diffusers. You guys are awesome.

I'm trying to clear a few things up.

The recommendations were for a *-187-* piece. This is what I have got from you guys and looking at dhgate

GB-187-S - You guys love the mouth piece. Curious question, the mouthpiece looks to go straight up, from the picture on dhgate. Is that annoying? I really like the slanted mouthpiece, seems like it would be more comfortable.

GB-187-1 & FC-187v2. I've seen a lot of praise for these on here. Are these basically the same take on the design by different vendors? I did notice that they had the slanted mount pieces.

Could you guys help me understand the difference, and what you prefer? I imagine some of it's personal preference.
Same here. The GB-187 by Yingmin5 was the first to hit this thread. Then a few weeks later Sunshinestore modified the D020-D to have a similar matrix perc (this is popular but not nearly as popular as the GB-187).

Stevenlmz made the FC-187 by our request for a sidecar version of the GB-187 (because Yingmin5 wasn't interested in working with us). Suddenly, within weeks of the FC-187v1 release, the GB-187-S was released. A sidecar version of the popular GB-187.

I had the FC-187v1 and was underwhelmed with the performance - my perc was poorly constructed. The piece otherwise was constructed well and the glass was VERY thick for china glass. But I wasn't happy with a perc that fired through pretty much 2 slits exclusively. So I sold the piece at cost to a combustion friend who REALLY liked the piece (the perc worked better if you pulled fast for combustion, but slow vaping speeds didn't work very well).

My GB-187-S however is perfectly constructed. Not one issue with the perc or the welds - it fires as nice as any DHgate matrix perc could. There isn't one thing I can say bad about this piece, for the price, it's everything I wanted it to be.

I suggest you look at the GB-187-1 or the GB-187-S (choose bent neck or sidecar mouthpiece, that's the only difference)

My wings of liberty arrived.

3 weeks postage, bomb proof bubble wrap (no box). Purchased from laubinyo.

Nice solid unit well put together.

It has a chuggy pull regardless of water level. It takes a hard pull to get any volume of water into the funnel but once its there you will get the vortex .

Not exactly sure on how its suppose to function but it works for me.

Regardless of function it will be a keeper due to the interesting design.

A question for the glass tech heads. Will the lead in angle of the holes in the funnel, affect vortex operation (clockwise v anticlockwise) when used in between northern and southern
hemispheres (globally)?

You're referring to the Coriolis Effect
The Coriolis Effect is basically negligible at human scales...

The results were that after you carefully control all the variables (use a large wooden tub, control the temperature throughout the tub, have the drain be a tube extending up into the tub to avoid friction effects with the tub walls, start the water off spinning the "wrong" way, etc) and wait 18 hours for the water to settle down, water does indeed spiral down the sink opposite directions in the two hemispheres. But this effect is so subtle that it wouldn't ever be seen in your bathroom sink.
(from the bottom of this page)

My interpretation of that would indicate that there is absolutely no way for the Coriolis Effect to influence the vortex.

EDIT:
So basically, I'd say the design of the incycler is gonna determine the spin almost always.
Maybe if you hold the piece at a significant angle or something you could influence the spin of the vortex, but the Coriolis Effect isn't gonna be doing anything :)

Ok so I bit the bullet and bought the first FC-1000. Someone had to take the risk lol

Steven was awesome! He worked it so I could use my $5 coupon. Ships out within 13 days so it will be over a month before I can review it for you guys and gals.

Edit: Just got home from a holiday and my d-cycler was waiting for me. I'm really happy with it!! Build quality is awesome. Money well spent.

My packi came..

Vertigo cycler is trash and they need help to fix function. Its being sold for what I paid for it. The funnel is pushed in to deep ans the botom of the return drain dosnt go low wnough on the can so when you hit it water pulls up the return stem.

The CCG EGG IS AMAZING.

No flaws, so fricking thick, showerhead perc.

Shits on kathys. And it feeeeels way more like the real one when pulling on it..

Pics soon

Very glad to hear your egg pulls fantastically because I was having trouble selling my friend one the function of the ccg egg since I received the hole perc and we were comparing pulls with the Kathy egg. We both agreed that although the build quality was very poor on the Kathy egg that it functioned the best still. The drag was a lot more on the ccg egg. How is the drag on the shwoerhead ccg egg compared to the Kathy?

My UFO arrived today.after a good afternoon/evening of vaping through it,I m a happy chappy.

a few issues that arent deal breakers, mouthpiece connection is angled very slightly to the left....also the female gong on the perc downstem is in a dip which might make it hard to remove a reducer, for example, later on.the adapters are a nice feature and compliment the perfomance and look of the UFO.Glass mouthpiece is the only thing I dont like so much

apart from that, design, function, welds are spot on.there are a few internal smudges in the can im hoping will wash out. agreed on a good clean when You first recieve these pieces.i could taste something odd until I gave it a hot PBW rinse.
Im using small MF or Herbalizer hose, really nice flavour.this is a big can but its milking up really easy once those early flavour hits are out of the way.

Many thanks @blankrider for youre tireless work bringing great glass pieces to FC & beyond.

Anyone have a good relationship with yingmin5? This piece was mentioned earlier

would be awesome if he just sold the base. i would probably buy at least 3 of them to use with hydratubes, would turn them into awesome dab rigs. i have emailed him asking to sell it separately, no reply yet, but maybe if enough people have interest maybe he will do it.
That's a good idea but I don't know if there's enough clearance at the joint for a hydratube to fit.
Nice and sunny morning here...had a nice session with the FC-710, some tasty White Russian, and now my second cup of coffee...

anyways...this is pretty cool:

~45.50 to the US. Seller is DKglobe

The egg part is the same as Kathy's first one which I didn't like though having just the honeycomb perc may make it better.

from this angle it looks like some of the skinnier ones would fit, like the showerhead and old turbine model, these newer ones with the beefy bottoms for sure wont fit. maybe the custom glass guys can whip something up similar if they have interest, sure would be cool.

Damn you, party liquor
Nice pickups @ChiefKeefe

Apparently, the secret about the mats is out around my area... I went to get more mats and 3 different stores I looked in are completely out. Sure are a lot of hot pans out there...guess I'll have to make do with the 8 I have. For now:brow:

Got my 9" Fab Egg from CCG.

8 slits on the perc, really nice thick glass and feels really well made. A few tiny bubbles her and there but nothing major.

Unfortunately only 6 slits fire as 2 of the 8 are slightly smaller and therefore just don't fire at all. Still a nice smooth hit though.

I would say it is still more restrictive than the Kathy egg on the pull, but I quite like it to be honest.

Overall I am happy with my purchase and may get another 9" at some point for a backup. I prefer the size over the larger one

Anyway pics and vid :)
