Hey guys, I just want to say how much I love this forum and a big THANK YOU to anyone who gave me their support for the defective egg I received.
If you liked my post, canceled your order, sent them a message, waited for this to be resolved to order, said a prayer, whatever. Thank you because it worked.
Clean and clear glass sent me a message with 2 options. The first one, which I chose, was to go to a special link for broken glass and pay $1 with original order number in message line. I got a new order number and will let you guys know when it ships out. I will also report back when it arrives. The second option was they would send it free with next order. I thought about getting one of those 9 inch eggs but I'm going to wait for some reviews.
I would like to congratulate you @BoogerMan for successfully grinding down the bump on the inside of the joint. You are a brave man and must have a steady hand

I got the 18mm version and it is amazing (besides the leaky joint which was sealed with non toxic aquarium silicon). Kathy agreed to a replacement so that's nice.
The 15 slit Showerhead is such a breath of fresh air. I feel like the last few pieces I've ordered from DHgate have been very draggy.
This has been my daily driver lately. No vortex on the drain but it seriously pulls like a dream compared to the other new pieces out.

Got my D-cycler in today and man this thing is crafted nice as fuck. the function is spot on, perfect vortex, no marks/scratches/nicks/machining anywhere, and no splash at the mouth no matter how hard i try to pull it.
definitely recommend anyone to order it. The craftsmanship is A+++ so i wouldn't be scared off by the looks of those CCG eggs (mine should be here tomorrow

CCG also refunded my purchase of the egg I had ordered without incident. Thanks to FC for the early warning detection system re: quality issues. I may reorder, but not before more and different reviews.

I currently have 3 CCG 12" fab eggs on the way. My other orders with CCG were very fast, this one has taken a longer. I ordered them 4/3 and they havent landed in the US yet
People that have recieved there CCG eggs, what date did you order? I ordered a WOL torus 3/23. I messaged them asking when my order would ship 4/13 and they messaged me back 4/15 with a tracking number. Im excited to get the WOL torus, the funtion video I saw on this thread is what made me buy it. I paid $85 for it. It was right before it went to $90.

D-Cycler (If anyone is wondering why my enail says E40 its because the light went out in the PID. I used to dab at 650 but when the 6 turned into a E I turned it down to E40

I'm betting they had to deal with a lot of those messages recently, so they probably just assumed. Hopefully it caused them enough stress to up their quality checks in the future.
Now that the Blankrider issue's been sorted out, I put in an order for the 9" clear egg from CCG.

How is the drag from the "birdcage" perc on your egg? I think I was lucky, with it being defect free and in terms of the perc the function seems on point but compared to kathy's slightly more lung power required. So do expect more drag if you own a kathy egg already. It's nothing you are going to be overly disappointed with.
I also received the FC-186 and the drag on that is a little restrictive, owning a mobius already. In any case that piece is meant for my combusting friends who have been using a 8 yr old roor.

I feel like I have enough glass pieces that pull effortlessly so is this still worth it if it does not vortex properly? I have to spent $70 to use my $5 off coupon and I want that FC cake piece from Steven so was thinking to add this one on but I really do have enough Glass that I want something that functions properly. I have yet to own any kind of recycler.

So I was in Florida the past 4 days on vacation, and read about the CCG egg's defects.. which was unsettling. Egg landed yesterday and just got home, to my package. First thing I checked was the joint support, was good. Next I looked at the perc and was like WTF, there are 8 pinhole dots instead of slits on the showerhead. Right there I thought this piece would be too draggy and trash, but surprisingly I put water it and it functions so fucking sick with minimal drag (given the perc situation) . It's an unbelievably impressive piece, the only problem I see is the perc getting clogged too fast to be practical to use, but I'll know the answer to that after I put it to the test tomorrow with the 4/20 festivities. Will report back tomorrow with a function vid and final verdict, but hopefully this should reassure people waiting on theirs that you'll get what you paid for.

@beastcoast I find it interesting that your CCG egg has 8 holes in the perc. Mine only has 6 holes.
How many holes are in the rest of you guys percs? Does anyone actually have a birdcage perc?

Mine only has 6 as well and they are tiny! I was just about to ask the same. This piece would be solid if it had a better perc (and of course a functional joint lol).

Checked again to make sure and it's an 8 hole lol. I bought a circ to tree arm straight tube from CCG a while back and it had a nice, normal slitted showerhead with no restriction, so these holes definitely threw me off. I know I bought a dabuccino from kathy with closed downstem and everyone was saying it had a different amount of holes, ranging from 3 to 6 (mine was 4 and I love that piece). I guess they just start poking holes around the circle and it ends up being different

My CCG egg came in today.
I am impressed, and disappointed.
It looks really nice and is fairly well made.
However, as with you guys, the perc is a huge let down.
Mine also only has 6 tiny holes and feels quite restrictive.
My joint is fine on the plus side. lol.
My wife enjoys it though. And it looks good on the table.
Shame the piece is let down by such a simple thing.
If it had a simple 12 slit circ it would kick ass.
I'd also like to see the parts connecting the two halves of the egg double in size.
It would really help improve airflow and would still look good IMHO.
