I see your point but at the same time, I think as a paying customer I do have a right to expect what I pay for in a semi timely fashion.

I guess well see how it pans out. I did file a dispute I can always resolve it if my order comes.

If my order comes soon its all good, based on the tracking its going somewhere else though

you only have a right if you have it as a term of the contract. Did you make sure that the Standard form contract terms support your expectation of speed? Does the laws involving the contract take the shape of your countries or chinese laws? if it's instantaneous communication contract forms at acceptance which would be your home country, but still. The point is the law is generally more complex before announcing what right you have. You don't have a right unless the other person has a corresponding duty. If your canadian sale of goods act gives decent protection, but gets a lot more varied when your getting to international origins.

tl;dr, do you have a right ?

Idk what the problem Is
So my order from yingmin has already taken twice as long as SSS and steven.

It came to a flushing queens ny a couple of days ago, which is about 45 mins away from me. For some reason it departed queens NY and went all the way to baltimore MD.

Not sure how to go about this but it dosent look very good.
I had a package land in nyc customs then went to NH for some reason, and I live in jersey lol. But it got to jersey the next day so I wouldnt worry

I would not think slow USPS delivery is going to be grounds for a refund with any vendor on Dhgate.
Well I guess we will find out, I dont see how starting a dispute could hurt.

In the event the transaction doesent smooth its self out I wont have to wait another 5 days for dhgate mediation.

Im just protecting my own interests.

My turn to play guinea pig I suppose. Pulled the trigger on this.

We asked for a lower price for singles and somehow Fengmama heard. Now down to $80.
Oh man I'm freaking out over hear. I would really appreciate if you could provide up to the minute reports on when it ships out, when you get it, and if it really is the jem it appears to be. I would love to order it this second but I have just spent about $1k picking up a few American made pieces and I should really slow my roll

Just to let you guys know the pics on that listing are from smokecartel.com and most if not all pictures for their listings are stolen. That's a huge risk with 0 feedback and not knowing how any of their pieces/craftsmanship look. Being a guinea pig is always appreciated but I could not throw down $80 without at least seeing some real pics. Good luck though and I'm also eager to hear how things go.

To whoever is whining about shipping and says it cant hurt to file a dispute.. You do realize the second the tracking number reads "Accepted" in china it is no longer in hands of the vendor? And is in USPS hands at that point
Whining ?
Feel free to put me on ignore if my whining bothers you. I thought people are supposed to be nice around here ? Did I really do somthing wrong in this thread...

All I was saying is there no reason to sit around and do nothing while my order goes to the wrong state...

I placed my order over a month ago now. My expectations were it to come to NY not MD....

Ive never seen mail do that before so Im definitely a little nervous.

Give it some more time. Both my mine took 35-45 days to get here. Don't try to understand the USPS/Customs, they are not the brightest. Also some people above mentioned theirs doing the same thing but they still got the packages a few days later. You can also call the USPS for additional info you cannot get just from the tracking number. They can, for instance, double check that the address is correct and redirect if need be (extra money).

I've sold quite a few things on ebay and amazon though, so I have a different perspective. You are still in the shipping window most of us experience and you are wanting your money back. The problem is that it is still on its way to you. No way I would refund your money until I have confirmation that you have shipped it back to me. I'm a small seller though and feel any refund/returns or people that try to scam. Which brings me to my next point, the cost of refunds/exhanges are built into the cost of the products (well if you know what you are doing). This means the more refunds/exhanges the more the price will increase (by small amounts) for a given product. Now if you have a broken piece or you never get your product, you should absolutely get a refund/return/replacement. In your case however, IMO think it is selfish and maybe you regretted purchasing in the first place or worried about it not working or something. This is completely fine to be this way, but please don't purchase from places like DH gate. Especially if you are extremely worried about shipping time, quality, customer service, etc. You may have an awesome experience or you may have the worse (hopefully getting your money back). But cancelling before you even know the outcome (after the item has shipped) isn't understanding the system and totally putting the seller in a bad place.
Even the folks that ordered the eggs and then cancelled (before shipping) I don't completely agree with (should have waited to order until people got theirs first), but at least it wasn't completely self serving as it got CCG to understand (in dollars) the gravity of the situation and also fix any miscommunication with @blankrider and get him a new piece. I don't expect everyone to share these same views (I never really thought about the seller much until I became one), but it sounds like most others feel pretty much the same way.

From your comments it appears purchasing from this type of overseas vendor is new for you? If so it may not be your cup of tea as getting frustrated about the shipping is basically a requirement for DHglass deals. Plus, you seem to be complaining about the vendor, when in this case, it is not the vendor's fault rather the domestic end of the shipping carrier, therefore a bit unfair to peg the manufacturer for the delay. I think this is the root of the issue you are having with people's responses to you, not that you are getting frustrated, but that you are blaming the wrong organization for it.

You seem to be misinformed.

Do some research in this thread, use the search function, but many people have had orders sit around forever, or go to another state farther from them before coming to there state. This is not in the hands of any VENDORS at dhgate and until your order is marked delievered at the wrong adress, all your doing by filing a dispute is causing stress on the sellers end. They arnt to blame, USPS is.

No, you did not. It is just that those who have been reading (and or posting) longer have a better feel for how long things take and are less concerned when something is delayed. As I posted earlier, fast shipping times is a relatively new situation and many of us appreciate it, but don't always expect it.

Complaining might have been a less charged word. It's not hard to remain respectful, even when we disagree. It's also pretty easy to not take disagreement personally, especially when we ack that text doesn't always give us cues to help clarify intent... ;)
