I had heard someone comment about newer vs. older versions of the 187, but I don't think labels were part of the equation.
That was me a few days ago. The newer one I received has a taller can with a larger base. Maybe loose manufacturing tolerances? It's subtle, but I definitely notice the difference with more volume in the newer one.
I'll put up some comparison pictures in a few hours, I need to clean them first.

I was seeing on the news that there is a slowdown at the California ports and many container ships are sitting out there in queue, so that may be why some of your stuff may be running late. Obviously not the stuff coming by air but I have been waiting for a few items from China that are certainly caught in that delay...
Thanks. I do really like the percolator on that gb-186 and the gb-187. I'm concerned about Yingmin5's description that stays they've had production problems. Maybe wait a while for a new batch? I really want to just order one more thing from dhgate and call it quits for a while.

I believe that is an older message. When they were out of production for a couple of months. My 186 and 187 are both very good quality.

Get the 187 if you get a chance (I have no experience with the 186). The production problems had to do with quantity, not quality. I got on of his latest batches (October) and am very satisfied with the overall build quality.
I have 9 China pieces, and the 187 perc is my favorite. I am using it with an enano.
Thank you. It means a lot to know this will be a good setup for me and my E-Nano. I just ordered and requested no logo if that is still an issue.

The newer one (taller) seems like a slight redesign regarding the base and mouthpiece. The base is wider and taller while the mouthpiece has less of a flare at the end. The perc on the newer model is also cleaner with regards to the "cuts" in the glass.
For the price, this is my favorite piece available on DHGate.

From the bottom of the can starting at the perc weld, the newer one is 1/4" taller. The diameter of the can is just under 1/8" wider. So slightly more volume for the newer one. It doesn't seem like much, but I can tell the difference.
Both are excellent bubblers and at first I liked the older one more. Now, after a week with the newer one, it's a coin toss.

Sure.
Yes, the newer one is more stable. The wider base and thicker glass gives it a solid foothold on my desk. It has more heft and I also feel like it would survive a drop better.
The older model hits perfectly for me. It is pretty easy to get the can white with vapor. The newer one seems to hit "weaker" as in there is more volume to fill and my lung capacity can't quite seem to fill it before I have to clear it. I have weaker lungs than an average person, so this may not be an issue for others.
The build quality on the newer one is better. There is more heft and better attention to detail. The bits and pieces are more symmetrical than the older, but with the same minor flaws you'd expect for China pieces.
The perc on the newer one is an improvement. I wish I could get a better picture to compare them for you guys, but looking at them with the naked eye I'd say the new one is 90%, the older one 75% of what I'd consider perfect for these kinds of pieces.
I prefer the flare of the older mouthpiece, it is slightly wider. Although the newer one's feels more sturdy.
I wish I could say which one I prefer, but I can't. They are both excellent and I hope to run them for many years. Basically, after getting my backup GB-187, the urge for more glass kind of stopped.

I just don't know how I should request my order from Yingmin exactly (this will be my first purchase from Yingmin too, cause I always ended up resorting to CCG, Kathy or Sunshinestore ;P).
This picture above is the one that's on Yingmin's page, and it was what lead me to believe that logo was the variable that differentiated the differences between the glass. Also, the matrix percs, the glass thickness, and even the bowls look different; however, I'd say that the one on the left looks like the newer model (especially cause of the shape of the included glass bowl).
Also, I see that a few of you have been having issues with delay on your GB-187- I'm guessing that purchase is from Yingmin as well (since that's the only store selling singles of the GB-187 right now). Still, at any rate as long as it comes in one piece (w/o any flaws, chips and misaligned percs) is all I really care about.
P.S. Ye or ne for the D020-2-W sidecar honeycomb to cyclone piece (tho I do already have that frit to turbine piece) ?
btw, didn't see any posts on yingmins GB-232, any comments/clues/opinions?

In my opinion that's a terrible rendition of a SideCar Matrix. The stem shouldn't come into the piece like that from the side of the can. It should come from the top down like the GB-187 with a Dewwar female fitting. And it should definitely have a base. It's not a hydratube or a pendant.btw, didn't see any posts on yingmins GB-232, any comments/clues/opinions?

@Cannabis Connoisseur that's pretty much what I was thinking, but it appears like it'd be more functional than some of the other matrix sidecar pieces (e.g. the pink one, or the ones with a little bulb below it) that I've seen (all of which have that same bent side stem). Honestly, I don't have any pieces with a stem like that; however, I do see alotta pieces being made with bent side stems like that, which does make me curious.
@Nugg I enjoyed the D022 too, though I found myself playing around the water levels more than using it. I have 2x of the D022- the first one came with abrasions so sunshine sent a second one. Both pieces are already broken; one on the joint, the other at the down stem by the joint, because the glass near that area was weak it seemed, or at least the joints couldn't withstand being taken apart and put back together for cleaning very many times. Maybe the quality has changed in the past few months though, idk.

I haven't been able to find this exact piece in the thread anywhere and was wondering what the appropriate water level is for something like this? Anyone have this piece?

This one has made the rounds. I think it is about 6"-8" tall. I have seen it in clear and with black accents/perc.

I have it, It's really nice. The original design is by B.Wilson. you should put the water level just below where the donuts start. That way you'll get the water to splash around the donuts. If it gets in your mouth just pour a little out. I wish I'd have gotten it with the black accents
I had it, sold it to a friend - unfortunately it was too small to work with any of my vapes comfortably (my nano was so close to my face I couldn't even get my lips on the mouthpiece!
