Guess we had different experiences. I have no trouble getting either the original or the knock-off to work with a variety of vapes. The original is definitely better. I think the hole in the knock-off is out of round and doesn't form a good seal. But I'm going to try a small washer or the like to see if that helps.

As for the original I use it with the Pinnacle Pro, Solo, and a variety of concentrate vaping devices. Take the mouthpiece off and it works great with the Dabbler. Virtually anything with a 14mm or less round opening will work. I've even managed to make a passable seal with a globe!

Makes for just the right amount of minimal diffusion to take the edge off and if you've got a mirror handy looks and seems very Cloud/EVO like.

Even the real PNWTs are rather minimally functional. It's designed to be a compact pocket-able option that still offers a tolerable degree of conditioning, so if you're sitting down at home pretty much anything else is a better alternative.

Just ordered a solo! So pumped to use this bad boy, had a MFLB + PA and a VG before, so im excited to see how the solo compares.

I wanna get into glass, looking at the d020 as it seems to have quite the following in this thread. What can i use to adapt the solo to it? The PVHEgong looks sweet but is out of stock everywhere it seems.


Also regarding grinders, how does the super fine consistency of the MFLB finishing grinder go in the Solo?

I don't own one of the gongs, but Ed's Shorty Stems are taperd to fit a 14mm female GonG. Means you get an EXCELLENT wooden stem plus a way to mount the Solo on you water tool of choice. For the D020s 18mm connection you'd need a downsize adapter, but thats not really an issue as those things are always handy to have.

The D020 has quite a following, problem is the only REAL D020s I saw so far are from Sunshine Store on DHGate and they only ship epackage to USA, means you'll have to pay for EMS shipping...not so great.

I have one of GBD's 18mm WT's and agree, Its really nice in the fact that it is great for on the go. When I was visiting my parents house for 2 weeks over winter break it was my only water piece. I took it because it was super small and easily concealed in a towel in my suitcase. I initially purchased it with the intent of taking it hiking as it can be pocketed without leaking. The slits on mine are pretty functional and it does a good job up to temp 6 on my solo. I usually dont take it to 7 but it can be done if needed.

@ataxian I agree, my D020 gets the most use. I still like to break out the M&M tech for those huge voluminous shotgun blast type hits but my D020 cant be beat for the price. I could buy 12 for the price of my M&M too. I think the D020 honestly functions better than my $120 showerhead MGW ashcatcher too

As I mentioned I placed an order with Sunshine Store on Monday. I actually received an email 5 minutes ago saying it has been shipped I tried to strike up a bit of a relationship with them as well but they were not very responsive. You never know if it is because of language issues or something else. Its too bad though. I'm not far away from these guys and would like to go and meet them in person. To be honest I am toying with the idea of setting up business myself and employing a Chinese glassblower.

I first need to source a glassblower, come up with designs and so forth, set up a shop/website, consider distribution, probably find a Chinese speaking partner, etc. So as much as I would like it to happen quickly I can't see it happening in under 12 months to be honest I'm not sure if any of you guys have ever been into China but trust me it is hell on earth. I absolutely hate the place and the people

I think all it would really take is to find a glassblower, show them some glass pieces you already have and get them to do knock offs. The Chinese have a great culture of reverse-engineering and I think this will negate the need for designing glass yourself. The key would be to get your hands on some really nice glass so that the glassblower can copy those pieces. Damn, if it wasn't for it being glass, I'm sure plenty of us would happily volunteer pieces to be shipped, borrowed and copied!

I wonder if there are many Chinese FC members in the international section of the site? If there are, there's a good chance we could have a glassblower here!

I think you should order a few of their better listings at the 10+ level for the cheap prices, then open an eBay store, iOffer shop, etc. Putting proper English descriptions on them would help them sell. I bet you could easily triple or maybe even quadruple your investment, plus you'd start building rep and a brand for if you did start selling your own glass later.

He wouldn't, because he wouldn't have to charge insane mark-ups. US$100 for a D020 is taking the piss, sure, but US$40-$45 for one he paid $14.66 for is still a very reasonable price for the unit, and a great return to the seller. He could probably negotiate an even cheaper price since those figures are to ship the unit the US, and in-country delivery must be cheaper. He'd have much lower overheads than the US-based resellers.

And, for people buying one unit at a time in non-US countries, ordering such a resold unit might even work out cheaper if he's able to send them China Air Post instead of EMS, which SunshineStore can't be fucked doing.

Those guys are charging more like $60-$70, though, as they're parting out all the accessories to resell separately. $10 bowl, $10 dome, $10 adapter, $5 nails, etc...

Oh well, US$52.15 is not crazy unreasonable, but even if I was American I'd rather pay $19 for the single direct from China, as I'm in no particular hurry for new glass.

A reseller in the US is better for Americans, sure, but one in China is better for basically every other country, as the stuff doesn't bear the cost of shipping to the US, then to its final destination country. Hence suggesting GL try resale before making his own pieces; it gives international customers access to a level of communication the native Chinese operations don't offer. Plus it'd let him test the waters for demand, get his distribution setup, etc, and see how viable the operation might be, before investing heavily in development and production.
