I saw it all live Baron. I mean no disrespect to you or anybody personally. You were directly involved and I understand how strong your feelings are on it all, and I can empathize with you from your own perspective.
I am just seeing both sides and not having been involved, more detached and therefore excusing/understanding of human nature.

I am certainly not the only person to have this more open view, I believe there are many, at least some who agree fully anyhow.

Seriously Baron, I say in good spirit. I respect you for your wisdom and maturity plus tolerance of others, and I would never mean to offend or patronize you. We can all have radically different viewpoints based on our positions and emotional state etc.

Got the FC-186 running with Elev8r lately, with Omnivap in FC-UFO, which works very very well with the vapcap. A mix and match scenario that is working quite nicely.

I have not, and it would not surprise me if there are some that are ultra modern and pristine. It would also not surprise me to find some that are unsafe with highly polluted air and generally unsafe working conditions. Or even decent factory conditions that allow cigarette smoking without proper ventilation. China's history of workplace conditions is not a pretty one, but it's definitely improving. Partly, I think, due to globalization.
It is certainly true that one doesn't HAVE to go to China to see bad working conditions. It is harder here than a lot of places to get away with it other than in isolated places but I'm sure that is cold comfort to someone in a sweatshop somewhere in Appalachia.
I saw some pretty nasty sweatshops in the garment district in NYC when I was in the rag business many years ago, but I'm sure that is vastly improved today.

I had a blaze piece from dabben.de that was 97 euro, not on the same level as that ehle tho
Only had it for a Month before the joint broke off it, i would say my Dhgate glass is of better quality than that piece was. Inconsistent glass thickness seemed to be the issue.

I no longer see my self spending money in that low/mid range price tag (other than dhgate)

If im gonna get me a more expensive piece at some point i would like it to be handblown by some artist or whatever.

Still a pretty cool ehle rig :-)

I understand you and didn't plan to buy it, just liked the artistic style but it's out of my price range for bubblers, I still buy them using DHgate mainly except the first time, I bought a weedstar bubbler which was great but China made and a bit overpriced (not so much though).

This thread is called "cheap high quality bubbler", doesn't mention if it's made in China or not but I agree this is not cheap at all!

I was a little suprised by the quality of the dhgate glass, i wasnt paying attention last night and slammed my vortex recycler pretty hard into the sink and i thought for sure that i was gonna crack it, however it seemed to vibrate perfectly throughout the piece, so glass thickness must be on point

It is an absolute cracker. Thick glass and the perc hits very smoothly without chug. I got light green accents and it looks great. Best Chinese piece I have tried :2c:

Espresso (FRENCH), READ (OK I love reading)

The MOUTHPIECE is pretty large for me and I'll reduce the size. (I'll have a smaller mouthpiece made locally)

CANNABIS + GLASS + VAPORIZER + CIVILIZATION = GAS

CANNABIS is wonderful!

CHEAP GLASS is great for me!

Can anyone point me to where I can buy aftermarket glass (adapter?) that would fit the Source Enail XL? Or, are they all standardized sizes (such as the g9 510 nail they sell at DHGate). I would like to be able to use different water filtrations. Pardon my ignorance, but I am just starting out using water.

It looks like it is at 19.99 on the official website ..
You can find around 12/15 on dhgate .. The margin is not so great

What is the cut-off price point when the topic is cheap, high-quality bubblers? For you, personally I mean.

And while the default source seems to be DHgate & Popularglass, do TAG or MaxQualityGlass qualify?
Isn't it Chinese Prodo Glass with more quality-control and less risk (presumably) at slightly higher prices?
Even their 2nd's discounted pieces, I've read more than one member say they couldn't even find the supposed flaw, certainly nothing affecting its performance. So that seems to qualify, for me, anyway. Besides, there are pieces on the Gate for $150+ so are those to be considered cheap as well?

Just curious if there is an unspoken groupthink price point at which functional glass ceases to be cheap and becomes something else. Is it simply personal and relative to one's taste, budget and breaking tendencies?

PRICE/FUCTION/QUALITY?

4 me I broke all my USA glass.
My wife was wonderding all the $$$ I was dumping was wasteful?

So I have found DHGATE to fit a niche for poor low budget use.

FC have OK stuff. (mouthpiece's R 2 HUGH 4 me) I just modify DIY to get by!

$20 to $50 is the average range.

I have a few I have not yet tried even?
