Cheap High Quality Bubbler

High y'all, would a nectar collecter work as a water filtered hydratube for a VXL Evo?
Or is there an actual 18mm hydratube lurking somewhere on DHGate that I can't find?
Thanks.

I have a couple nectar collectors off dhgate and they offer very little diffusion ... perfect for a log vape imo. If this is what your looking for then with a 14mm male to 18mm female adapter you should be set.

Someone was working with one of the sellers on a water pipe for the cloud. It's not a hydratube but a tall bubbler with an ash catcher off the side. Maybe someone will chime in with more info or a link.

$325? Seriously? Did they slap a möbius sticker on it and try to sell it as The real deal? I could see one of the fab eggs from China being marked up to over $300, but not a simple piece like that! That's just crazy to me! But it wouldn't surprise me.

I bought a piece at a LHS a while back because it was 80% off. I asked the guy if they were losing money on the sale and he said they are breaking even :| just shows you how much stuff is really marked up.

fuck a local head shop, middle man jacking up the price of everything.

Having a place to check out glass before you buy it is always nice, you know exactly what you're getting. These places have lots of overhead. Marking up these pieces is expected, they definitely have to.

But $325? That's bad business and I don't think I'd be able to hold my tongue after seeing that. People need to be called out on that shit in front of their customers. They're allowed to charge whatever they want as long as they don't misrepresent what it is, but at that price point I doubt they're telling customers it's China glass when people ask who made it.

Yeah, you would think that something like 300% would be enough for overhead, profits, and screening for defects/breakage.

Fwiw, the piece did look solid. Straight neck, no bubbles, level, thick base, etc. My first China direct order is on its way. I hope the workmanship is as good as the one I saw. especially since I paid 1/10th the price.

I have some bad news. My FC-186 started to develop a leak and a weird hairline crack inside. In addition there are small shards of glass flaking off the bottom and now it will leak but only if I touch it. If I blow through it no air leaks but water leaks. It is very strange. I have been careful with the piece so no clue what happened.

I contacted Steven hoping he would help me out. Its been two months since I ordered (one month in possession) so someone named Jane on his account said she would offer me a discount after I asked for one.

My dilemma is what to get. I plan to get the FC-187 but can't decide between the straight fab, FC-707, or the FC-1000 so want members opinions. I use this with an EVO and Modded herbalizer.

Man Steven supplied a tracking number on the last day of the deadline (12 days I think their guarantee is) and more than a week after that there was no data on the tracking. I complained and apparently there were issues with customs? Hmm and after some back n forth me complaining etc, apparently it's shipped out now and I'm getting a new tracking number. So uh I'm assuming the first one was indeed a fake one.... Didn't know this still happened haha or if it's even allowed. Sure hope the FC-1000 is worth all this ;)

Exactly what happened to me. Since I've last posted here, Steven sent me a new tracking number. No data on on that yet, but I'm assuming this is the real one.

Anyone on here with the FC-1000 and the FC-707 (BOTH MATRIX PILLARS)? I ask because I ordered the 1000 and Steve sent the 707. I've tried to like it but it just doesn't hit right. I can't describe it,but feels like its got to be mouthpiece placement and location. It doesn't feel like there's anything wrong with the perc flow @Frederick McGuire i know you have the 1000 do you think the 707 would hit different yours with the different mouthpiece location?

I am struggling with this same dilemma as well because I want one of these but not sure which one to get. Every other piece I have I have to bend over more to use so having one like the FC-707 seems perfect except I don't know if it would be more comfortable or not.

I don't think the feel of the hit would be all too different, but sometimes little things like that really do make all the difference...

I noticed you mentioned a little bit of splash back a while back.
I have absolutely zero issues with splash back, and I can 100% see how that mouthpiece design could have a bit of splashback.

I personally prefer the bubbler design in general, so I was pushing for that in the design stages anyway, but now using it, I can see how it helps a bit reducing splashback in this particular piece.

Here's how I see your situation:
You ordered the right piece from the right store page.
You confirmed via message that you wanted the fc1000, not 707.

You did more than should be expected of you to ensure you get the item you wanted.

Stevens store fucked up in sending you the wrong piece.

It's significantly similar, but it is not what you ordered, and you are not happy.

IMO, it is currently Stevens responsibility to make you whole.
There are a few possible solutions I'd think are fair, but obviously it will have to come down to what you are happy with and can negotiate with steven.

1 - you get to purchase an additional FC-1000 at a HEAVY discount - like at least 50% off or something.

2 - you destroy the FC-707 you got in exchange for a free replacement fc-1000 - given this fuck up is on steven I would only agree to destroy the 707 upon receipt of the 1000.

3 - you ship back the 707 to steven, at Stevens expense, and again only after receiving the replacement 1000.

4 - just ask for a partial refund down to a point your happy with - ie, if you're annoyed with this piece to the point you feel it's only worth $40, ask for a refund of the sale price -40 - effectively getting the fc707 at a discount instead of a fc1000 at full price.

Hello to all, can anyone tell me if there is a difference in drawing from a pinnacle water tool that is 14.5mm compared to one that is 18mm? Other than joint size. I am interested in buying one of these, I like the wide mouth because I have a problem with too much restriction. I know I need some restriction for vapor drawing but I was wondering if the 14.5mm one had less restriction than the 18mm one.

EDIT** I am asking because I am also debating on whether I should get the PNWT, from vaporblunt, though they offer a cheap knockoff that someone provided on here on dhgate for about $14, thanks @flotntoke, or a pinnacle hydrotube, I really lean towards the 18mm joints. But I dont see any hydrotubes at18mm, other than one I saw at ebay for the vaporblunt 2.0 and its priced at $99, though I dont know if its legit. suggestions and links are welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

14mm will have more restriction and 18mm because it's a narrower pathway for the air to travel through,
though in smaller rigs sometimes 14mm is preferable and the difference isn't as noticeable.

They sometimes will generate a tracking number before the package actually ships. This lets the seller bend the rules of the Dhgate buyer Protection. They have to have that number generated within the number of days that are specified on the Item's page to avoid penalty.

Yepyepyep. Steven waited until the deadline then sent me a fake tracking number. Still haven't gotten any updates on it in 3 or 4 days, so I messaged him asking for a real tracking number. Hopefully he ships my fab out today.

Steven shipped mine out the day after I made payment, took a total of 10 days from the time I made payment to its arrival at my doorstep. The torus I ordered came out PERFECT, the perc is slightly off center and youd only notice if you really studied the piece but so far I am one happy camper! Had a great experience with Steven.

I just got an email from dhgate about a "super coupon deal!" From grow high glass

Spend OVER $150 for a $5 off coupon...

Seriously WTF?

I how the hell is a ~3% coupon an incentive to do anything?
And you need to spend ANOTHER $150 on the next order to use the coupon...
So technically it's more like $5 off a combined $300 purchase... Which is ~1.6%.
That wouldn't even cover the currency conversion fee...

Seriously, I don't think I've seen a decent coupon from dhgate for like a year...

I mean, from a sellers perspective, the point of a coupon is to encourage the buyer to either
a- come to your store over a competitor, or
b- spend more money than they otherwise would have...

I've seen soooo many "buy $100-500 of stuff, get a $5 voucher!"
Honestly, would anyone at all care about $5 off a $500 order?

To me, the uselessness of that offer inspires bad-will in the store...
Surely I can't be the only one who gets annoyed by useless offers like these...

There's literally 1 thing keeping me from pulling the trigger...
jus_sayin.jpg

EDIT:
I've also got an american-made double-matrix in the same form factor...
I seriously love me a matrix perc, and I'm pretty "meh" about tree percs...

Still, It does look like a nice piece and based on everything I've heard, it's a winner...
However, I can see that inlet snapping pretty easily without a reinforcement...
I usually leave either my LSV or Sub + cloud buddy on my rig (not while unattended, but long enough that I find it a concern..). The LSV in particular is quite tall, so it can have a fair bit of rotational leverage when all set up like that...
Don't think of it as a tree perc since the bottoms are welded. It's more like a 40 slit gridded upline. I mean, at least that's what the pull feels like :)

I get what you are saying about the joint support, especially if you leave a hot vape on there. I only use it with an e-nano, lotus, and solo so it doesn't get too hot. And if I use an e-nail I use a dropdown so it doesn't get hot at all.

However, this joint (even without the support), feels stronger than a lot of the female pieces with joint supports!

If anything, get it to use with everything else besides your LSV and sub (I know you got other vapes and don't you dab? haha).

Or just rig up your own joint support like so  Top quality Walmart product right there! The joint ain't goin' nowhere ha!
