I'm always forgetting who not to shop with I have something on the way from CCG right now i bought it on the 26th it's in transit now allegedly. What we're the problems with CCG again? I just see shit when I'm stoned and figure what the hell it's only 30 or 40 bucks and then i forget i bought the shit
They're very big on the whole "oh sorry we sent you a broken piece, buy something else" approach...
I purchased a non functional item from them and got a discount on my next item from them.
That next item came and had shit welds to the point where the recycler was so restricted on the uptake tube that it just shot water up the return...
so at that point I had spent $69.50 and received 2 defective items.
I arranged for them to apply a discount to another order, and send me a replacement for the 2nd item.
They then sent out the 3rd order, but did not include the replacement item.
I was pissed off and told them it was unacceptable.
They did nothing to try to resolve the matter further and even went so far as to tell me that they were out of stock on that item and refused to make anymore (yet they were still listing it for sale on dhgate - dodgey as fuck)
I ended up having to go through the dhgate resolution process, and only got $50 back...
So at the end of the day CCG burned me for $19.50 and I refuse to deal with them again...
Great business move on their part
So, just got this quartz banger from Kathy:

It's honestly not that great. I got the 14mm and the joint is so poorly ground that it does not sit solidly on my rig. I don't think it's completely round. It flops back and forth on the joint and doesn't create any sort of seal at all. I've contacted kathy and requested a replacement. I'll update on how she responds.
Granted it's a nail, so despite all of it's problems it sorta works anyway. It looks and feels wonky as shit, but it's still a functional banger nail, and awesome for that. Now if I could just figure out how to cap it...
I just got 3 of them in - 10mm, 14mm, 18mm.
My 14mm is a tiny bit loose - just enough to have a tiny wobble, but it's still perfectly airtight...
the other 2 sit perfectly...
My only issue was that they have a decent amount of drag to them...
Not enough to make them unusable (I've been using them exclusively the last few days I've had them), just noticeable.
Guess what I got today!!

ordered from Kathy on 12/5 shipped out on 12/10, recieved on 12/29
Double vortex showed up (with updated tracking) in good condition, well packaged in box/bubble wrap. First impressions, it's fairly well made, welds feel stronger/smoother than previous kathy pieces I have, glass feels to be at least 3-4mm thick with a guess, it's fairly small 9" tall, fits in the palm nicely, It recycles and vortexes pretty well with high water level, 3 slit perc. As expected there is some unevenness to the various parts, and a slight lean, but over all it sits well on the desk, feels sturdy enough, stands even and seems balanced with the weight of the heavy glass adapter I put on it. *also came with a 14mm combustion bowl and a 14mm dome and 3 glass nails.
My main complaint would be the short male joint, it's a bit too low or short. The water level has to be pretty high to create a full recycle/vortex and if you have this piece sitting flat on a desk/table surface, the water does bounce up pretty close to the top of the joint. It seems to be meant to be more of a palm piece, when held at a tilt towards you, the water line drops to a safer bounce back level. I can see using a Ti domelss nail that slides over the outside of the joint, or possibly just using adapters to extend it as shown in this water test and Lotus video below. Pardon my crappy lighter, it's well used.
I give this piece a slightly mixed review because it looks nice and works pretty good over all, but you have to really watch that water line at the male joint. Just the slightest tip too far forward spills it out. If you plan to get this one, you might want to figure out an adapter that fits 14mm to extend it enough to keep a hot nail out of the water, or use a domeless. I'm still very pleased over all, got what was shown and expected (with blue mouthpiece accent and blue drips over the can which don't bother me)
Water test and Lotus with adapter VID:
10/14 Ti domeless nail
(replying to this post from the review thread)
I've got that exact sized domeless nail, I've settled on leaving it permanently attached to a 14-18mm expander adapter, kinda making it a 18mm nail, and then using a 14-18 reducer if I want to use it on a 14mm rig.
Gives that little bit extra height for rigs like this that need it, and stops the nail from getting stuck on the joint after cooling (happened to me after every. single. dab.)
I too noticed that the water level sits pretty high up in the joint when filled, but I didn't really think much of it...
Many! But... how do you cap a banger with a dome??
Ive been using a Kiss Globe from W9.
Heat up banger, and insert the fat end of the kiss globe.
Insert dabber through the skinny end of the globe, and carb with your thumb
