Everyone remember the insane expensive big bong recycler I bought from Steve that arrived broken? Replacement came today.
GAH... It is improved, recycles, hits fucking GREAT.. And leaks all over my hand and floor. Bottom joint. Fuck me, I really like this piece now. Steven's reaction TBA.

my fc-187 arrived today also.......I have to say that I love it.....its my first dh piece and only my second water pipe that ive owned....and ive never used a really high-end expensive piece,but this bitch is pretty damn sweet..... @Ratchett all of my percs are not firing either.....I think i'll mention it to Steven but im not complaining too much.....1 session with my solo on top of this bad boy and im "flying high again!!'....... @blankrider thx bro

Upon closer look, neither is mine. One side has the band fusing with the top, so its missing 5 or 6 holes. In my case it kinda works with the diffusion, like a pulsing action the Reti perc makes.

for me its perfect.....again I don't have anything to compare it to,but it fits well in my hand with my solo on top of it.....its sturdy....nice and heavy....I like the side car,i can see right down into the can....I don't have any problem with the mouthpiece,but I do have rather large lips :brow:

Yeah, this piece is made for you and your wild designs. This piece is very heavy with a wide base, so you can hang nearly anything off it an it will remain standing. :lol:

I'm a little bummed as I liked nearly everything (else) about it other than a sloppy joint. I hope he hasn't shipped all his stock...

Steven wants to ship my replacement with my next order. I have no plans for my next order at this time and just want the replacement. If Steven is expecting us all to buy all his "FC" designs he is likely to be disappointed. I am hoping that is not a requirement to be his "friend".

Alright, so I hacked my mouthpiece to acceptable functionality with a standard stem with the silicone sleeve. Basically, I carefully wedged it into the mouthpiece making sure that only the sleeve made contact with the mouthpiece. This is one of the later, thicker stems. Just tested this, and hell yeah, this is a great piece.

@cybrguy this may be a fun project for your broken one if you're into that sort of thing. From your picture, it looks like you could DIY a whip to the can with some aquarium glue.

Wine stoppers and silicone tubing ordered via Amazon, thanks for the assist @Tweak. From your and @Trogdor's discussion, I'm thinking I'm going to love this setup.

I also use this technique on several of my mini rigs, each has a short glass extention held in place with silicone to make using it more comfortable, so close to the face. It works quite well, and really doesn't look bad IMO, easy to remove for cleaning etc... I even used one of those old school flared downstems (no joint) for a slider bowl from an old bong I put a 18mm stem in its place. That works quite well as a light weight extention too. Glad you made it work for you, so you can get back to enjoying :D

Nice. I'm definitely going to look into your suggestions, thank you. I primarily vape in one spot, so having a few whips/extenders will make this entire experience more enjoyable with a few of my pieces.

Besides, I ordered 10' of silicone tubing.. I'm going to need to find a use for it.

I use a 18mm male joint that has a narrow tube opposite of the joint to plug into the end of my whip... makes a good mouthpiece

Thanks. The added length now let's me see what is going on. On that note, my perc seems good to go, firing evenly.

Will look into getting some of those mouthpieces for the SSV, that's a good design.

One of the reasons I gave away my NO2 was that I hated the plastic mouthpiece and/or whip. I actually have 3 or 4 JoDa stems that I may use as well.. I've been neglecting them after getting some decent bubblers.

man this piece would be really amazing if the two slots were switched, vape in dewar and hose offset. i have a similar piece i bought for way too much that works well for what i call vapor hookah'ing... except it doesn't sit the vape in dewar and have had unfortunate tipping.

Anyone looking for a GB-242 - I found them in stock on ThickAssGlass - $69.99 is a bit pricey - but even at that price it's still a fun piece for the price (really like mine) - Note the glass is on the thin side, you are paying for a nice tiny vortexing rig (vortexes really nice)

Really interested in what @blankrider can do to merge this design with the GB-187 design.

Although, No offense, but I'm going to hold off on any further purchases from this vendor until I know his quality has improved. Only 3 of the slits on my FC-187 fire when using my E-Nano with a nice steady draw. Tell him to buy the nice birdcage percs made for @yingmin5!

The perc is the most critical part of the whole piece, without it, the unit is useless. I'm still debating what I want to do with mine. If they would use a nicer perc I'd consider buying a second one. But for now I'm seriously thinking about flipping my FC-187 to a friend and buying that Jhanpixel UFO rig - what do you think @flotntoke - ya think the UFO rig is a good upgrade from the FC-187 (excluding the fact the UFO rig is 3x the price)
