How are your perc's firing? I really feel like my FC-187 is only firing on one side where the slits are larger..... Kinda defeats the purpose of a matrix perc

Actually not too happy with the perc on my piece, still debating what I want to do.

Got my FC-187 as well. It was delivered on Wednesday, I picked it up from the office today. Packaging was like others have stated, a little less bubble wrap than I would normally be comfortable with.

Regarding size, this thing is a beast. Slightly larger than both of my GB-187's.

Build quality is solid. This seems to be a very sturdy piece. Everything is flawless except that the perc is slightly canted.

The perc, this is the goofy part. It seems rather high and I'm not a fan of the downstem going through the perc. It probably won't effect functionality, but it looks odd.

After a quick water test, I'm looking forward to using this piece. It is less "chuggy" than my GB-187's. I think I got lucky on my perc, it seems to fire very well and evenly.

Would I buy again or recommend? Absolutely.

My d020-d came from SSS. Its awesome except 29mm downstem is a tad wiggly.. Anyone ever receieved one thats not? Also waiting for my other 3 piecird from him. 2 of the mobius matrix knockoffs. Still in pre shipment aka china while other made it... Worrys me

Are you sure it's the D020D? I've got a D022 with the 29mm downstem, it wiggles bit when I clear it sometimes, otherwise it stays put.

Got this one from CCG on a gamble a while back. Strange mouthpiece angle, but vortexes unbelievably well and has become my daily dab driver. Just had to put in my 2 cents...

Regarding the FC-187, not sure if this is going to replace my GB's. Like my other sidecars, craning my neck to use it is a bit annoying.

Another thing I realized after breaking it in is that I don't care for the mouthpiece. It is not possible for me to get a 100% seal, hence I get a whistling noise/loss of suction during use. Can someone else test this? Just put your thumb over the joint (thanks @flotntoke for that trick) and listen. I am rocking a pretty epic beard that may interfere with the seal, but none of my other pieces have this problem.

More testing to follow. And if you like sidecars, don't take me too seriously. I'm not a huge fan of the design by default.

Edited to add: Yep, the FC mouthpiece has a larger Outside Diameter as well as being more shallow. You have to purse your lips in an extreme manner to get this working. I'll see if I can get used to it, but the lack of 100% seal may be a deal breaker for me. I have weak-ish lungs and all that fun stuff.

You can really feel the difference in weight. This thing has a bigger chamber than even the WP-010. It dwarfs the D-002-D.

Functionally this thing rocks. Hopefully Steven can offer a GB- type MP version too. My matrix/birdcage perc looks pretty good, I'll try and snap a few images.

Like my other sidecars, craning my neck to use it is a bit annoying.

My FC-187 arrived. Sadly the mouthpiece tube is broken off. There are other issues but they are obviously moot...

Good news for me is the MP's bore is pretty big and fits my silicone wine stopper, so I can use it with a whip, .

Just tried 2 full GonG's and the same fucking problem. I feel like I am drawing 60-70% compared to any other piece I have used in my life. To test, I dropped the silicone sleeve down on my GonG to create a perfect seal at the Dewar joint, same problem. It is most definitely the mouthpiece.

Last test I'm going to run is coating it in dish soap for any errant cracks/defects. This will have to wait until I'm sober, so probably tomorrow.

Funny that you mentioned a whip, I was just researching this. I'm going to make this guy into a futuristic hookah at this point. Too nice of a piece to gift away, but I have 5 or 6 others I'd use first after my initial impressions.

Other than the mouthpiece, it's a great bubbler, so hopefully I am the only one with problems.

Yes of course heres Alinas mini tube that arrived today unscaved in the weridest packing. Came with Dome, Nail, 14mm adapter, and 2 downstems all for the low low price of $16

@cybrguy sorry to see that your 187 arrived broken. I suggest that you and anyone else who has an issue contact him in a polite manner, tell him that it arrived broken and offer a photo as evidence, thank him for producing it for FC, and ask that he send you a replacement packaged securely.

If there was anything specifically that you didn't like about your broken piece maybe ask him to hand select your replacement. Find one where the perc is closer to the bottom of the angle of the mouthpiece is slightly higher or lower.

Hey, this IS glass we are ordering and coming many thousands of miles so it certainly is no shock when something comes broken. It does, however, give us a chance to better evaluate our vendors as to their response...

Very nice. I had planned on the Atomic as my next piece for this very reason, until the FC-187 popped up.

I'd forgotten how fun it was to use a whip for MP, makes me so lazy, I can hit it from any sitting position and pass it to my SO without lifting any glass.

If your interested, I'm using these Rabbit Silicone Wine stopper with the tip cut off and the metal pushed through to allow air flow. Fits the FC better than any bubbler I've used.

@Trogdor Thanks. All my testing with the FC has left me a little.. high. I realized that there is no "factory solution" to my current predicament. Although now I think my next piece will be one with a removable mouthpiece, so I can do a whip with the GonG's you've linked. Much appreciated.

@Tweak Perfect. I'll order a few of these and setup a DIY whip rig with this guy. I also like wine, so a few more stoppers won't hurt. What size tubing are you using with these? Thanks again.
