I dropped it and chipped a piece and put silicone on it for repair. I love this piece and he doesnt even have it listed anymore. Havent seen a knockoff and I paid more than this thread allows for this

I totally agree, the versatility of this piece makes it very unique, and it conditions & diffuses perfectly without sacrificing taste.
Also thats GBD and they make pieces to order I'm sure it could be requested

So I am home after 5 days of festing, trying to catch up on reading about 10 new pages... also still trying to dispute the warped/melted 10mm joint I got from Kathy, she wanted to offer me a 10mm nail as a solution?? how is that supposed to fix the bad glass joint? Now she wants me to return it in order to resolve this??? that would cost as much as the glass did in the first place so that is not a reasonable solution. I basically said if they don't want to deal with this properly I will leave negative feedback for them sending out damaged glass in the first place. It was obviously melted, and not fully functional. I am now asking for a refund because she is not co-operating with a simple replacement. I think I will be sticking with sunshine store if I buy any more from DHgate, all of my kathy pieces have functional flaws... not just cosmetic. I am glad others have had good experiences with them, it seems to be a random draw as to who gets the good ones. I don't know if they even look at the stuff before they package it and send it out. Now I need to go run up to the P.O. to get the glassblowing glasses I ordered last week... wooooWell Kathy, it was fun, but I think we must part ways for a bit, this is 3 for 3 and I am not happy with your response. I looked past the others having problems since it was an easy fix, but now I'm just unhappy.
Same thing she did to me. I wouldnt expect your dispute to get very far. Thats why I dont like dealing with Kathy and usually dont. They play the "return it" card knowing that you're not going to go to that much trouble for a cheap piece.
Sorry you're having this experience. My last Kathy piece showed up okay but Im still going to avoid her unless I just cant help it. SunshineStore, BTOC and Yingmin5 have been much better.

I have thought about buying from Kathy several times, but you guys have convinced me she does not deserve my hard-earned money.
Thank you to all the brave pioneers on this site who test new vendors and report back with your experiences. Sometimes vendors can get 'comfortable' and start to slack off.

Really? When I got my D020 I thought it was so cute! Much smaller than I expected (it was my first glass purchase from this thread). For what it's worth that piece is tagged $155 at my LHS!! If you don't like that design, I suggest you look at the D020-D or the D020-W
The GB-187 was popular, but it seems to be unavailable right now

No, mine has labels. I dont care for labels personally, but its not a deal breaker. I saw this one has no labels but as far as quality goes it looks really sub-par to mine, and costs twice as much. I'll look into some of the experts on here about removing labels completely.

I did submit a photo of the melted /warped joint, it really doesn't make a good seal with any of my nails, and she first offered me a free 10mm nail (which won't help) and then a $3 refund. I have now sent it to DHgate to moderate the dispute asking for a full refund, when she could have just sent a replacement. They packaged and mailed me a damaged piece, it didn't break in shipping or anything like that, it was a factory defect and no matter how inexpensive this is, I am going to utilize the DHgate system if the product is not functional. They should not be mailing out such obviously damaged glass. I have already let slide that 2 other pieces were functionally damaged (pinholes in the welds causing air/water leak) that I repaired with silicone. It really would have been in their best interest to just make good on this one...

I got a ASH COLLECTOR with a cracked joint so I took a picture and sent it to Kathy and 5 days latter a perfect ash collector showed up.
So I order from every vendor on dhgate with no hassles so far?
Has long a defect is corrected I'm OK.
The workers in CHINA have a much lower standard than westerners.
When they can't meet my standards I will cut them off.
Kathy has made good on a few dealing I have had with her.

Quick question for you guys/gals regarding the D020-2-W: What's the optimal water level? Above or below the HoneyComb, and if so, by roughly how much?
Just got mine and it doesn't seem to be functioning as well as in some of the videos that some of you have posted. Neat little piece, but it looks like I'm a bit ignorant to HoneyCombs.
Also, Sunshinestore's 18mm to 18mm Female adapters are good to go. I ordered 1 lot of 2, they sent me 4 total pieces and all are good minus a minuscule machinist/handling mark on one of them.

So you're looking for cheap glass that looks fancy??
We on this thread look for functional pieces (different percs) with reasonable build quality. If you're looking for fancy, look somewhere else. Many of the pieces we discuss are usually of higher quality than what you typically think of as "Chinese glass" - that's not to say there won't be imperfections. But you will find the glass overall to be higher quality for the price than you'd expect. (I sure as hell was surprised for the price!)
The stuff we find on here isn't about looks as much as it is about function and quality. Different percs provide different tastes. Use cheap glass as a way to test different types of showerheads and percs to see what fits you best. So when you do decide you want to buy a 'sophisticated and fancy' piece, you know EXACTLY what you want.
That said, i have this piece coming on Friday. I bought it specifically because my wife is a big fan of cobalt blue glass (and because I really like sidecar rigs)

The low price of this glass means you can play with different designs and rotate them as desired (all my glass get's a workout at least once a month). Don't be afraid to throw $30 away for the D020 - she might not be a looker, but damn she tastes fine!
The D020-W is my favorite currently, but god I hate her serpentine mouthpiece. I hope this new D020--2-w satisfies my GAS addition for a while, my wife is about to get angry with all these new shipments arriving weekly!

I agree Kathy should replace yours Jam. I found some defects in my Hitman sidecar knockoff, after I paid (dome chipped and droopy, nail melted). Yingmin offered to return me $4, which is fair. However, he seems to be "stringing me along" rather than making the refund. So, he's not perfect either.

Try adding more water. I started with it below the honeycomb and gradually have been using more. Right now I have almost a cm of water on the top of the honeycomb and there is a small air gap below it. Adding more water doesn't seem to add drag with this piece and there isn't really any worry of water in your mouth. Play with the levels and find out what works best for you. Also, what are you using with it? That may add restriction and change the action.

With my D020-2-w I keep the water level just slightly above the honeycomb. And on the clear rip it hard for sweet turbine action. It is like impossible to get water in your mouth with this one. Definitely one of my favorites!
