Cheap High Quality Bubbler

I like the PNWT for it's small form factor and surprisingly effective moisture cooling with very little water. I find it hard to see it fill up with vapor while I am using it, so the big clouds coming out of my mouth can sometimes be surprising. The one thing I really don't like about all hydrotubes though is the risk of water spilling out the bottom from sudden coughing or exhaling into it.

That said, I fully understand where @ataxian is coming from now that I've thought about it more. While I don't find bong style pipes gross, I do prefer a nice small piece with an ergonomic bent neck mouthpiece for vaping. I am obsessed with my D020 and can't wait for the "D" version to arrive. I don't see any straight neck glass in my future unless they are really special for some reason.

I agree about the "straight neck" bong style - to me they are so yesterday. They require you to stand or hold to get over the mouthpiece, and force-crane your neck. A bent neck at the right height allows you to sit comfortably at a desk or table, and even pass around. Don't care for large mouth openings either, particularly as I have big hair on upper lip & chin, so a seal means I have to press hard and evenly. Small mouth openings allow for well-regulated pulls and sips effortlessly. Like @ataxian so often and wisely reminds us, small style mouthpieces are "medical" and just plain old make good ergonomic form-fitting sense.

I've been kinda-sorta wanting a nano rig for a little while now, and I love the function of a turbine perc. As a general rule, I like smaller pieces because I have to be discreet and hide my glass on the regular, but at the same time, I prefer my face to be a comfortable distance from my nail. I'm really torn between these two pieces, which both fall within my acceptable size range. I love the idea of the tiny nano bubbler, but am worried I might find it too small.

Thoughts? Opinions? I know at least one person here has ordered the Bake Bros. piece...I don't suppose anyone received it yet and can offer a review?

I may not end up getting anything at all right now...might decide to save up for something else down the line...but the G.A.S. is strong in me at the moment. lol

I have become very intrigued with Turbines since someone first posted the "cup" design you reposted. I agree to wait for a sale if you have the patience, but one thing that makes me lean toward the "cup" over the sidecar is the shape of the can may make a better vortex from the turbine if that's a feature you like. Of course, just guessing, hopefully someone who gets this can make a video.

Lol, I posted that in the any serious beer drinkers thread and only t-dub liked it. Truly puzzled me after it took such a liking on this thread. Maybe they drink out of Stein's or Mason jars I can't wait to see it in action cc on standby...

Call me crazy, but I don't drink beer, never liked it, alcohol has never done it for me (big surprise in this forum, eh). Maybe that's why I like that piece. I don't consume much alcohol at all, but I do like hard ciders or a nice red wine.

I really wish alcohol and cannabis would switch places on the social acceptance scale. I predict it will someday, just not soon enough for me...When my buddies want to go bar hop, I always think about how much better I'd enjoy it if they served the herb. Booze almost always makes me feel kinda sick, the herb is the opposite.

I like the pnwt because it's ultra portable and has great flavor (very little water) and has pretty low resistance. @ataxian you don't have to be in public to enjoy the portability, it's great for taking to a friends house or for hiking/camping

I used to have a piece with a natural perc that I always used dry, the shape made the vapor vortex up into the mouthpiece. It was by far the smoothest hitting dry piece I've ever used. I would kill bowls in one or two hits and it was more flavorful than using my diffused glass.

To all those looking at the helix chambers Grav Labs makes a "premix" chamber in small and large sizes, 14mm and 18mm respectively. I assume premix chambers would have a similar effect; the large is pretty big, a local shop used to carry them.

I used marbles in my old school bong with glass slide. Same concept as seed beads. Worked good for that but the percs now a day blow away these stones or beads. Plus you've got all the diffusion you need since your a flavor chaser that has good glass. It seems to be more useful for combusters IMHO...

Its overkill for vapor IMO, they'll just cause unneeded vapor condensation and make draining and filling your piece a pain in the ass. You can buy small glass marble/beads or glass aquarium rocks to try out for a lot cheaper than those, just be sure to clean before use.

I don't think they're worth the trouble they cause.

Well the D-020 arrived on Thursday!
HOLY COW that thing is TINY!!!
I was expecting it to be about the size of my W-020.

For me it is more of an oil rig and works very well with a Ti nail or even a glass nail.
Nice quality for the price.
Wish the slits were flamed smooth as some are chipped.

I am sure i will find a use for it, it is cute though.

Anyone ever use these?

I have not used these by name, but I have started using some glass marbles in my extraction tube. They take up empty space and prevent the herb from blowing around in the tube. It also helps distribute the butane evenly. I have not used them in a bubbler yet. I can't see spending $$$ on this. I had decorative glass marbles in a planter. Boil and wash and voila. Any craft store has them cheap!
