I didn't mean to spark a conversation on knock offs, and everyone has great points. If it works well then it works well and it's probably a product worth buying. On the other hand, carrying a fake label is wrong on many levels and simply unnecessary.
Abysmal (iirc) gave it a good review and he knows his shit. It's just a shame they don't offer their good product without the fake label, as it can apparently stand on its own merits and isn't even a direct rip off of a Roor downstem design as far as I know.
Personally I don't buy knockoffs for a number of reasons, mostly because I don't see it benefiting anyone in the system except the guy trying to make a quick buck, and even he is stabbing himself in the back in this case.
I'm really excited about the bubblers Leviathan glass is concocting for us.
Mmm, I was just thinking I should mention this little guy, a bubbler I got from Gonzo (thanks man!) which was made in New Orleans and he said cost 100$ new. One thing I really like about the big 24mm GonG removable downstem is that it allows you to put in a pretty huge amount of crushed ice, something I really enjoy doing from time to time. What I don't love are the open armed diffusers, which while doing a nice job, I will still be sealing next time I go glassblowing. I haven't been in 3 weeks due to finals but can't wait to see how it chubbles with the fingers closed. I really like the simple, elegant mouthpiece and arm design.
