Cheap High Quality Bubbler

@BigDogJunction
My offer of $24 without the bowl was accepted. Anyone try $23?

Yeah, she seems to drop at least $1 off ANY inquiry. I asked about one of her ash catchers and when answering my question, she also dropped the price. Good idea asking for price without bowl, I've noticed more of you all getting into the habit, with very good results. I'll have to try it.

Hoping you all, give us feedback. She shipped my ash catcher/perc today... so I've started the 3 - 4 week countdown. Most seem to receive theirs, closer to 3 weeks.

I've gotta say. This forum, is one of the most amazing examples of people truly sharing information, peace, love, compassion... I think I've ever come across on the Internet. This thread is testament to that. It would be interesting to see the number(s) of people that have been influenced some way, by this thread (hey... we deserve a sticky!), even guests just browsing. I know I've made about 5 purchases either directly or indirectly, because this thread.

The tripple disc reminds me of a Philpot (I am not sure of the name) piece i've seen but more simplified :).
I also think that those disc would offer a balanced diffussion and a lot of bubbles :) ,so you won't be wondering if it is too much or too little :p.
Quality i cannot see from that picture .

Abysmal Vapor,
thanks abysmal...I love both the triple showerhead and the triple disc. I am so tempted by the smoknj's triple disc...you guys think it looks like quality?

I'm interested in that triple disk as well but like you feel sketchy if its quality or not. By the way the glass blowers name of that piece is Scott Moan, and you can see the other products he makes on the site.

I can see where CDS is coming from,
If it isn't an actual Roor downstem, then it counterfeit, and that's shady in my book...
A cheap clone that doesn't try to pretend its the original is fine in my books if it functions, but counterfeit stuff should be avoided IMO.

Also, I was thinking the price range for this thread was $100ish, maxing out at maybe $150.

I dunno, in principle I guess I agree, but then I think counterfeits are more OK as long as their not being sold as the original. Seems like a contradiction, but I guess the point I'm making is that at that price nearly everyone knows that it's not a Roor downstem- it's an obvious imitation rather than deceit, if that's a fair distinction? Though I doubt Roor would see it like I do lol. I suppose there is a reason why it's illegal.

Basically, for me the fact thy there's a roor label on there makes it shady.
If it was marketed as a clone, I wouldn't care (just as I have no problem with black leaf copying Toro designs, but if they start slapping a toro label on them then I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole).
IMO, that label is deceitful, either to the current buyer, or a future buyer if it's re-sold.
It's not a Roor, don't say it is....

If it has a label, it's way more deceptive, IMO.

what about when it's imitation 'gucci' or whatever- it's almost funny. It's a bit like me having a 'Ferrari' keyring, no? Fundamentally it's wrong I know, and agreed counterfeit needs to remain illegal, but I don't know if I have the same moral aversion to it. I'm less bothered about protecting the image of the brand, and more bothered about protecting the consumer, so as long as there's no real deceit involved then I don't get incited by it. OTOH this is a relatively small market- should I support Roor more than Gucci or Prada? IDK, they seem to be pretty big enough players or there wouldn't be imitations.

I usually like getting the real thing, and then the fake thing. That way I don't feel bad! :ko:

Some people say - when you buy counterfeit, you are lying to yourself, and others.

However, I wonder if that logic still holds, if you print in big letters "FAKE SHIT" on the fake goods?
