That’s exactly it and I didn’t even notice. My support goes to the bottom base whereas the online photo shows it mounted to the middle of the can. Makes sense, more stable.

Yeah. I was thinking that might be it (the support for the bowl being what they were talking about). But that doesn't help with the invoice wanting an additional $40 for shipping that I was unaware of when I made the purchase. Otherwise, I wouldn't have completed the purchase. Hopefully that invoice was a "stoner mistake" as well.
I just got home from work, and I'm feeling a bit ill, so I won't feel like looking into this more tonight. Maybe tomorrow.

Yeah, but it wasn't on the invoice I paid (which said I was getting free shipping, which I assumed was part of the 4/20 sale discount), and I didn't see anything on the order page that said that they bill more for shipping later.
That seems a bit shady/scammy to me.
The only reason I'm sharing it here and getting advice is because I was under the impression that this company already had a positive reputation with people here. Otherwise I would have just cancelled immediately.
Either way. I just emailed them. So, hopefully I'll be back here tomorrow singing their praises after they fixed the issue. We'll see...

Yeah that just doesn't track with our experiences, why that would be the case? I hope you are not maybe talking to the wrong person somehow and getting scammed by some outsider pretending to be them?? Stay vigilant and let us know, hoping it all works out in your favor sooner than later!

All good now. It was me who was overreacting based on some past bad purchase experiences with other vendors.
Texas Hot Glass responded to my email. We are now good on the bowl attachment (I wanted it like the original pic), and they said the $40 invoice was indeed an accident that was supposed to go to someone else. So all is well.
Their response to my email was very fast as well.
I'm happy now, looking forward to receiving my Sherlock Shredder

Great! I'm not sure how easy it is to set up websites, especially stores, particularly for this... I think direct to consumer, with email or even by the phone if people don't like instagram, can be much better and more profitable for the artist especially with such a low price on the glass already... Although it could be more involved for him, even if it is just existing stock (eBay and Etsy but they also take a big piece of the pie like DHgate)

Picked up a Texas Hot Glass contoured baby recycler during the 420 sale. She sure is a looker, here she is next to the FTK from SAML that I've been using as my primary water piece for a while after shelving my TAG inline recycler.
Going with the THG for a while, need to change my habits slightly for the differences, but it's no big deal, makes a great desk accessory

I don't own a SAML FTK for a comparison, but I will say I find the Biao.t RBR clone quite a bit easier to clean than the Contoured Baby Recycler, or the Sherlock Recycler ftm, as the removable mouthpiece makes it only marginally easier...I do have to ask tho, if you're located in the continental US, is she charging for shipping now? I know it went up $20, so shouldn't 30% off have = $126...?
Either way, Mazel Tov! I adore mine, and use it often in rotation with the other 2 mostly for dabs.... but flower now and then, too... Fuck convention! Sometimes it's absolutely called for, if not downright FUN!

I have one of these, it's only the 10mm version though, I got it to replace my vgoodiez cheapo RBR clone that broke because it's real thin, but I loved the fit and function (maybe more than baio.t but I never got to honestly compare them). I haven't gone back to the baio.t RBR, there are a few visual imperfections that annoy me, and the joint is just okay. I might try a 2.0 in the future.
I have been using the Tempest a lot with my WPs with a 10mm reducer, so maybe I'll bust out the baio.t 10mm to try again
.All that said, cleaning isn't that big of a concern for me, even the FTK doesn't take me very long, as I tend to change water often and deep clean all my in-use items regularly.
I quoted from memory, referencing the invoice: great price at $112 on the 420 sale.
