Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Guys thanks but where I live there is distilled water for ironing and for car's battery. If it is acceptable ok, otherwise I will try to order some litters for oxygen machine from Germany.
Distilled is prob best but lots of people use tap or filtered tap with no issues.

Personally I'm too lazy/cheap to buy distilled just for bong hits :)

The other solution is to use my water filter which is 0.1 micron microfiltration. Is this acceptable? At least it will filter all impurities.

If the problem here is lime scale (white deposits on the glass) then unfortunately dissolved solids like calcium carbonates and other salts are not particles and can only be removed (as fas as I know) with a Reverse Osmosis filter or distillation or big cation exchange resin filters or bigger machines. Filters that plug into the kitchen tap will NOT work.- they only remove particles and chlorine.

It is really simpler to just rinse out your bubbler every day, and if it still gets white scaling on the glass that bothers you , use a bottle of de-ionised/distilled water and some vinegar or lemon juice to clean it. But there is nothing to worry about here apart from the need to have a bubbler that looks like new!

For me the main reason to use distilled is because it keeps the glass cleaner. It's also nice to not have to change water all the time.
Especially since I switch glass several times
during the day and sometimes in the same session.

Wouldnt RO water be the best option to avoid cloudy glass?

Not sure if distilling gets rid of all the minerals in the water, but i know RO has nothing at all in it.

I would be curious to put a meter in distilled and see if dissolved solids are still present.

With these issues the dropdown adapter has been a total game changer. It prevents the worst of the buildup and keeps the glass cleaner for way longer. I pretty much hated water pieces before because of how quick it got gross, even while refreshing water with each session. Since I added a dropdown adapter it's been a real joy finally being able to enjoy and explore water filtration.

Quick google:

RO typically reduces TDS to under 25 ppm; distillation reduces TDS to under 10 ppm. Bottled mineral water typically has a TDS level of approximately 400-650 ppm.”

FROM:

I use distilled, my lungs are worth protecting for the small price. For drinking, I use a dual stage inline water filtration system.
I clean my glass constantly, not for looks, for HEATH and taste. Good luck.

it's really the opposite: distilled leaves nothing, RO leaves some minerals. CPAP mfrs require distilled to protect the innards from mineral buildup, with RO as the second choice. Mostly people use distilled to avoid mineral staining, but either is good for reducing bacteria, etc.

I have metered RO before and the meter read 0. I do know it depends on what meter is used and what RO system is in place.

I only know this because of the fish tank i used to have, and the requirements for the very specific water i needed.

Not all RO systems are the same. Not saying your google results are incorrect, i am basing my comment on personal experiences with RO. To be truthful, never did much research on the topic.

Such a minute amount anyway….it probably doesnt matter in the long run.

I’ve a collection of drop downs that I really like for the purpose stated here, however I had been using them with smaller volume DH/EBay pieces that I had. When I upgraded to larger volume pieces (TAG) I’ve noticed the combined volume with my drop downs was noticeably affecting my draw. I really love the way my TAG12 In-line draws with the bowl right on it’s joint, but I also really liked how clean my water stayed with the dropdown. Trade offs.

Didn't this discussion of distilled water, RO water, as it relates to our needs and CPAP machines etc already happen here?? Perhaps it makes sense to start a new thread entirely, about water used, benefits and differences, everything...?

emailed them with the code asking to fix if they could, bit in general.

I'm not sure how responsive they will be, if it were me, I would have just canceled the order, placed another order with the code...

Any reviews for biao.t pieces from Instagram? The recyclers look great, pretty pricy for China glass but curious on the quality

Just search above for Biao here and skim through, there are many reviews of them, you can also find Instagram reviews and on Reddit too, you have to share the specific recyclers you're talking about though because they make a ridiculous variety of them so we have no idea what you're talking about exactly...
They sell on DHgate from MLglass, glasscm, bong, and other stores possibly, Greek Glass here in the US too I just shared that they can be found on eBay as well... Anyway the quality is great, higher level China glass, more options on the styles and perc, it is a specific style but the work is usually solid.

It seemed like the reception for the RBR 3.0 was pretty positive so I ordered one and it should arrive in a week or so. Be happy to weigh in when it comes.

I took mine out and used it with Atlas yesterday, I don't know, I really don't enjoy it haha going to try it with dabs soon since that is technically what it is designed for...

Do you think it's the build quality/design/function you don't like, or is it just not the right piece for your purposes? My concern is that the one I ordered may actually be an intermediate design (the 2.5-ish) with the second perc up just below the joint. I read that that one doesn't function as well. I hadn't been aware of that when I ordered a green one, where the pic looks like the earlier build. They called it the 3.0, though, so here's hoping the pic is old.

Yeah I think it is just tricky to find the right thing to use it with, which is why I'm going to try it for dabbing next, getting the water level right for the proper function, with the right draw to avoid water in your mouth is pretty damn tough honestly... too many variables

I've never heard of any 2.5 version, just 1.0 2.0 and 3.0 so I don't know what you're talking about in that regard either... Still the biggest issue with these is the matrix perc perhaps but also I don't know the weird funnel shape and it's orientation, I was hoping that middle circ perc in the neck would make it easier to use as I had seen written about it, easier draw to get the function etc. though it really seems to increase the diffusion which seems unnecessary in a recycler like this?
