Oh DGC_glass is where I got my super thick glass tall spiked tube, and they have plenty of other stuff, shipped to California in 8 days so I feel like they are worth mentioning again, 16% off store wide till July 9th but I bet these sales turn off and on all the time?

Just ordered this since I don't own any large-capacity glass for my e-nano, and I have the REFC Lab Highlighter coming in today, which should also greatly benefit from a larger can.

I don't need a ton of filtration, just some bubble stacking and a long enough tube to zap a bowl and make a tall glass of milk.

Nice! I think you made a good choice, definitely let us know timing and how it arrives from that seller, seeing some mixed reviews on them in particular, but they are the only DHgate shop that offers flower of life seed of life percs (although they are almost as expensive as Cali Bear anyway) so yeah this one actually should have plenty of diffusion but not too much, good air flow with the large can although I don't know about visibility with the gooseneck but maybe top down? Definitely curious, this one is still on my list though I am happy with the straight fab, I could see the value of trying FOL perc on its own in a tall tube, and that mouthpiece is going to be much better I bet!

And look who just greeted me in the driveway a day early.... (mr smiley fedex-man) X-mas in July!

Upon quick inspection, everything looks PERFECT! No logos or address (wtf?) anywhere! Yes, the "Invincipole" fits it awesome and I've never tried using a (free) thermal banger before... gonna have to whip out the torch (probably not gonna use the Tater Tot for dabs much) and it's been since before black Friday that I got all the 710Coils gear...VERY limited dabs left...😱 def trying to hit Maine early tomorrow....! :science:

Awesome! A quick one, that tot really does look great, so unique, complex and large enough to easily justify the price, I like it because you get US thick glass but also like a heady style not clear glass...

Are the down stems you got just to use with that small three-piece bubbler of theirs? A short one and a long one so you can play with water level? Sorry I'm sure you already said this lol

And a very nice freebie to get the thermal banger! Like I said I really like it, the way the top sits with the 30 mm quartz pi bubble cap, they heat up super quick and maintain their heat well, this is the one that is my go-to for my own dabbing needs (I had one from Puff it up first, that accidentally broke, it was also really nice and perfectly even, clearly thinner quartz though) this one from gooroo is so thick though not as even at all, you can tell it's handmade, but the performance is actually better because of the quality of the quartz maybe? Heats up even faster different retention properties, the way it goes etc, fun stuff, it also helps me get an idea of what an insert is like and I think I will switch to that someday when my connoisseur levels for dabs rise further!

Well. I've made my 7/10 purchase for this year. I ordered a Goo Roo Tater Tot from Brothers with Glass.

Though, they had the option of a 25mm or a 38mm, and I got the 38mm. Though they labeled that as a Tater Tot as well, I believe I'm getting a Couch Potato, because I am under the impression that the Tater Tot is 25mm glass, and the Couch Potato id 38mm glass. Does that sound correct?

Congrats! It is needlessly confusing, isn't it...?

I just received a "Welded Tater Tot" from Goo Roo and it is 25mm and has the 9-hole diffuser downstem (same as the 3-piece bubblers)

The "Couch Potato" is 38mm but it doesn't have a welded gg attachment, it only comes with a rubber grommeted bowl slide and the 6 hole diffuser downstem.

Does this sound right?

No worries! The short one is the one that comes with the WTT... and the long one is just to have on hand for the 3-piece until I totally break (it has just a small crack from the bottom to one of the first diffuser holes) the original one that came with it... the Invincipole, too, is a spare and something to fool around with cuz it, itself, is adjustable, but I doubt the "perc" is anything special anyway...

Thanks again for the heads up on switching out the bowl for banger...! I haven't used it yet to see if it's like using inserts... will report back!

I'm fairly certain that you are incorrect, and that It's definitely available in the welded model.
I thought it came in both the grommeted model, as well as the welded model?!?
I would never buy the one with the grommet. Did I make a huge mistake because I thought it was available in the welded model and it's really not?!?

Well, I wasn't implying anything at all, just posting the info on the Goo Roo site...

It looks like you got the "Welded Couch Potato" then...? It doesn't say the glass thickness, but I'm sure you are correct! (Minus the "Welded" omission from the type of piece you purchased... 😜 )

Well, I think you're wrong because here they have advertised a Couch Potato with welded glass on the Goo Roo site.
Am I misunderstanding something?

Just making sure, in case I need to call and cancel my order first thing in the morning.

Because here's the page I actually ordered from:

Yes, Goo Roo offers a "Welded Couch Potato" and "Couch Potato"... they don't, however, offer it in dif thickness glass (unless you ask) like Brothers...

And this is why I made mention, to make sure you're getting what you expect...

Well yeah, the Couch Potato is available in two models, the welded, and the grommeted models.
Anyway, nevermind. My original question was misunderstood and lost in the pedantic fluffiness.

It's ok, tho there's was nothing "pedantic" about it at all really... you just didn't say the correct full name, including "Welded", of the piece you purchased in your original post... thus the confusion....

Couch Potato must mean the larger one, Tater Tot for the smaller?? Ahh colors! :luv:

Yes, those are the names for the two. I was only confused because it seems that the site I ordered from calls both sizes (25mm and 38mm) the Tater Tot. (see my above link to the Brothers with Glass page that I actually ordered from)

And GooRoo site is also plenty confusing lol I don't know which version I would go for myself, I do think I'd have to get one of the greens or blues though... Also forgot about that classic color bubbler! @arb :argh:

I feel that the Goo Roo site is not confusing at all. It's quite simple and straightforward.
I appreciate that about them

However, I was confused by this page that I ordered it from on the Brothers with Glass site:

^ as that page seems to call both the 25mm model as well as the 38mm model the Tater Tot, when the 38mm model should be the Couch Potato.

Potato, potato lol Yeah that's definitely confusing, but also the navigation on the GooRoo I mean gets me turned around and all the different names and classifications, on top of the inaccurate photos? How hard is it to have up to date photos that match the products... I'd like to see the other colors, I like that brothers at least shows me the blue!

Yeah, and I bought from Brothers with Glass instead of directly from the manufacturers website because they allow me to pay with Sezzle or Vabill, which allow me to pay it off either bi-weekly or monthly in several payments. This way I can tell myself that I will not buy any more glass until this is paid off.

That keeps my glass purchases more healthily spread out.

I've been doing that with glass purchases quite often the last couple of years, and it appears to be a healthy strategy to limit my glass purchases

The Goo Roo site Tayter Key

Tater Tot: Cheapest of the "concept", no ground glass joint, only a bowl slide. 25mm.

Welded Tater Tot: same as above but with an 18mm joint and removable 9-hole diffuser downstem with a 14mm intake joint

Couch Potato: Bigger, no ground glass joint, only a bowl slide. 38mm.

Welded Couch Potato: same as above but with an 18mm joint and removable 9-hole diffuser downstem with a 14mm intake joint

Double Welded Couch Potato: same as above but with also with a built in perc.

edit: and the Goo Roo "site" is an absolute fuckin' JOKE, as well, their stupid fuckin names for the pieces, which only further confuses things.

Example:
WTF? Too fuckin' stoned and lazy to cut and paste most of description from the reg version and add about the welded/stem info (as was done with the Tater Tot?) There are plenty more examples of outright stupidity, too, just dig...

Excellent choice, @Ramahs! My Welded Tater Tot became my favorite piece of glass the moment I got it. This thread has gotten me to "shop my stash", and I've challenged myself to pull out a different piece of glass a day until I've tried them all for a day. Throughout, the Tot has stayed out and been used as much as the daily glass. You wouldn't think it would be difficult ( in terms of real problems it's not), but it's been hard to not use it exclusively. I'm sure the Welded Couch Potato is next, as soon as the next sale is up. Then I'd get to go back and forth between full potato and tot to see which I prefer. 🥔:clap:

The old school bubblers great but kind of in your face..........needs more neck bend imo.
Welded, unwelded, colored or clear and a totally fucked website.
They start being competent about more than glass and the prices will prolly go up.
😂
The thickness of the glass gets thicker as the pieces get bigger.
So the 38mm is thicker than the 25mm
which makes sense for a variety of reasons?

Kind of wish I hadn't seen this thread. Someone mentioned Greek Glass, and the double gridded straight shooter beaker + sake bottle have me mighty tempted, but I'm also torn on that or finally getting the Gooroo inline or honeycomb beaker while they have a 710 sale going on (someone mentioned that code 710 is 20% off atm, but I guess I haven't tested). Does anyone know if Greek Glass is doing one?

edit: 710 is definitely valid atm!

Greek's IG story has code GG710 for 15% off sitewide.

Edit: couldn't resist - just grabbed an exo and spinner cap

Thanks for helping me spend money @bizwaxzion

That Greek Glass shop has some really nice pieces. I am not tempted at the moment because GooRoo broke me, but otherwise I would be stuck there...
Yeah I'm torn. I've been eyeing GooRoo's large inline and honeycomb bong since you guys started chatting about them way back when in this and the other big glass thread, but I really dig the look of the double gridded beaker (I think the double gridded perc is just 2 inlines w/ grids as opposed to straight slits) and I've always wanted a sake bottle as they look simple and classy. The GAS model fuming looks neat and would still let me see vapor build up.
