Somebody said in the past that Augusthaus is building bespoken coil heaters for the Ligers.

Yeah. Those are designed for the 30mm, which is technically the flat coil bucket. If you want the super-sized Augusthaus coil, you would have to also hit Josh at CCA up for a matching shroud to be able to use it in the first place.

I love my 30!!! The big surface works perfectly fine no matter what size the dab - it just has more room to spread out (read: maximum surface area).

I honestly didn't even expect it to come since there hasn't really been any news about when the obsidian was being released, but the shipping email said it was in there so I was optimistic. Still have the 16 to tide me over at least.

Question about the 16, do they make titanium inserts? I ordered only quartz and it came with another insert that looks titanium.

Same thing happened with my order, I only ordered a 16mm Quartz insert, two inserts came, one I assumed was the stock Ti insert and I've only been using what is clearly the Quartz insert But now I'm questioning myself too.

Is the insert that you are claiming could be titanium made of a different material from the bucket? Because I'm beginning to suspect a few of you might have gotten hooked up with some free polished SiC dishes.

There is definitely no such thing as a ti insert for the ligers, if you want to taste ti, just dab in the bucket with no insert. if its clear, its quartz, if its grey or black its sic

the shipping email showed that specifically the obsidian was shipped in that order? if thats the case then shopify will consider it shipped and closed, id shoot them an email to make sure, if it does say its in that shipment.

ha thanks everyone. been sitting on this sweet SiC like an idiot. Just tried it at about 30 degrees below what my quartz was set to and :tup:

and @ensabbahnur, ya even the delivery confirmation email said it was in there, so I just shot them an email. Good looking out.

Then maybe it is obsidian? Im expecting it and the sic to look very similar. everytime I've every gotten any "extras" or something to tide me over for a mess up on their part, they always noted the goodie on the invoice, with a little hand written note. when did you order the obsidian? I and a few others ordered them right after they popped up on Facebook and i haven't seen nor heard anything but we are within the stated release timeframe......although to be fully honest with ccas track record i wouldn't be surprised if we don't see them till xmas

no wait, confusion. I ordered the 16 in july and that came with 2 inserts, the quartz i ordered, and then another one I shrugged off as titanium, bc wasnt familiar with SiC, and there was no note or message or anything from Josh when I was dm'ing him. But I just ordered the 30 + obsidian for the 30 last week, and today package arrive and it was only the bucket and no insert

The regular riptide cap works great with the 20mm, its not the "chuggiest" cap I've used for it but its prolly the most consistent in its performance and finishing of the material. There is an example of them not fitting a liger due to manufacturing tolerances id suspect on the glass side. the bubble should work great with the 20 as the spout isn't long enough to be an issue but it def won't work on the 30
