FYI: FocusV has a 26 min. IG stream up for the next 4 hours wherein Randall discusses the direction he's going with the atomizer, etc. PIU joins him in the stream and explains his weekly cleaning of the Carta.

I wouldn't even bother trying to do that. The atomizers are susceptible enough to failure as it is. Since the manufacturer specifically told us they wouldn't work together, seems like you're just inviting problems. Even if it appears to work properly, you don't know what kind of damage may be done by compatibility issues. Pass!

For sure, I have working v2s! I’m just trying to learn as much as I can about the devices and differences!

Since I’ve received my replacement atty(one with numbers printed on the side) I noticed the quartz cup doesn’t rattle. The design doesn’t look much different than before, been having pretty good luck with the quartz bucket. Have still yet to try TI.

Still get black buildup on my quartz insert. Is that unavoidable at the moment with the current attys? I want to be able to produce nice clouds as well so maybe it’s one of those can’t have one without the other type deals...

@FocusV hey I've been trying to get in touch with your crew for over a week. I've been sitting on a dead base for 3-4 weeks now and id just like the shipping label emailed to me so I can send this back to yall. Hard to support a company when you dodge me every day. To be clear: if you have time for Instagram session, you should have time to honor your warranties.

I had to sideload the app on my iPad to see if I can get it working and I finally did.

So my unit is able to connect to the app and be controlled.

Also for anyone saying you can't go higher than 480 it may be because you are still in Celcius mode?

Have you hit the settings and change it to Fahrenheit?

Or it could be a non detected/broken atomizer?, When I take one out the temp can only go to said 500 degrees.

Yea I was that guy, totally forgot I reinstalled the app and all my settings reset. Was definitely in Celsius ha. Do you atomizers switch from herb to oil on the app based on how tight you screw on your atty? What temps you using for quartz?

Has anyone else have some issues with charging with USB-c cables that are USB-c to USB-c. I have a Samsung S10Plus phone. I have a USB-c charger upstairs and down stairs. Different chargers and different USB-c cables. Neither of them will charge the Carta unit. Both charges will charge it if I use the USB-a to Usb-c cable it came with but neither of my USB-c to USB-c cables will charge the unit. Anyone else see this issue?

Yeah. I find using the stock cable with a Apple brick works best. The iPad brick charges my Carta pretty damn fast.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues. Did you try the contact form on their website? I used that form and had my issue resolved. That said, as an update, I now have a new base to try out. Been out of town so won't be able to comment on how well the replacement works until tonight or later this week.

My USB-C cable for my macbook won't work on the Carta.

Yes it does charge fast with the little cable they provide but there is not much length with it. Was hoping to use a longer usb-c cable but no usb-c to usb-c cables seem to work on the unit.

Ok a few details,


First the Name: Carta, (Like magna carta )

Features:

Initial Release:

- Wax Chamber W/ Optional Titanium or Quartz Buckets.
- Dual 18350 Batteries (removable)
- Single Button Operation
- USB-C Charging
- Comes with a plethora of things (glass carb cap, main glass component, batteries, cleaning etc..)

The initial Release will be late January. ( when I say initial i mean like 150 pre order units will be available only)

from there the first full run will be released February (before the 15th i believe)



OK and then!

The carta has built in bluetooth functions with an app that is pretty much completed at this point. j

So in February you will be able to connect your Carta to your computer. Download the updates and then download the blue tooth app.

The App will allow full control over the Carta,

it will also allow for control over the Herb Chamber that will be released late February.

How do you change out the buckets? I'm having trouble getting the atomizer apart
