To take off the top off the atomizer unscrew the top clockwise to access the bucket.

To remove the atomizer from the Carta unscrew it counter-clockwise.
Thank you! Also, how does the 30 day atomizer warranty work? I think I may have an atomizer failure on day 2 -__-

If you didn't catch that IG stream I prev. referenced, Randall talked about issuing an atomizer w/ ss wiring as opposed to ceramic. One that would hopefully last upwards to a year that would have a 6-mo. warranty. And he would consider selling the ceramic wires for those who want to tinker with rebuilding those attys. Sounds cool!

And the herb atomizers are going to be released shortly. Naturally, the beta testers will get them 1st; not for further testing, but because they purchased 1st.

I don't know if I'm gonna go with the herb atty or not as I'm a 100% convection baby when it comes to flower. I even find the vc's vapor too harsh for my liking. I'll reserve opinion until I hear your guys feedback.

I haven't tried the Carta as I don't have any concentrates yet. :( But I will. Frankly, it's not pressing.

Randall did say that he & Christina will be hitting the road for 3 weeks imminently, hitting states like CO, California & others I don't recall. He did say in a pev. stream that they are relocating to CA shortly. I think Randall's originally from CA.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues. Did you try the contact form on their website? I used that form and had my issue resolved. That said, as an update, I now have a new base to try out. Been out of town so won't be able to comment on how well the replacement works until tonight or later this week.



My USB-C cable for my macbook won't work on the Carta.
Yeah, I've been in constant contact but now I'm unclear what the situation is. I assumed I would receive a tracking #, send my broken base back, then get a new one sent out. Instead I got a typical tracking # for a replacement?

And I have noticed only the USB C cable that came with the carta will charge the base. unsure why though.

I bought a bunch of USB to C cables from Amazon forever ago. I've been using those. They all work fine. I tossed a 6 ft. in with my Carta. Can't find my USB c cable to try with my laptop, cause I lost my c brick awhile back.

Randall did a stream today with a puffitup rep and there were a couple interesting things mentioned. He said in the best future puffitup works handle distribution since they have a bigger team. Randall showed an all ceramic bucket that looked pretty clean. I asked about SiC buckets and he said they will have Ruby and a possible third type which material escapes me. And last thing I caught was the atomizer lots will be available within a week or so and I believe puffitup mentioned they will carry it.

probably Silicon nitrides (Si3N4) to go along with the silicon carbide (SiC). Was just reading a report that Si3N4 markets will grow 40-50% over the next 5 years. crazy stuff.

I don't see SiN (?) much, how does it compare? Better or worse? Anyone feel free to chime in.
Probably just as good, perhaps more durable, definitely more expensive than SiC to manufacture. It's used in advanced orthopedic applications like spinal fusion therapy or joint replacements. It's important for materials used in human bodies to be bioactive, which means it helps deter bacteria.

I meant to say atomizer rebuild kits will be available in a week or two. I'm looking forward to that.

Oh yeah I almost forgot about the shirts.. At this point I would rather have one of those new fancy buckets or even a working Android app.

I know this can be frustrating but it seems like they are trying to do the right thing in nearly most situations that I've read about. It might take a little time since they are launching a product but keep faith.

How are you shipping back the base if I may ask? Your own box, own tracking? Or did they provide you with either?

They provided me with a shipping label and I am providing my own bubble wrap and box for the shipment. Given that this is a small company in launch mode, I wouldn't necessarily expect your experience to exactly mimic mine or anyone else's at this time. I imagine that they might be trying to figure out the best way to handle RMA and distribution logistics (and that's on top of all the other tasks I imagine they are inundated with).

Hope everything works out for you.

Randall did state in the streams that beta testers would get priority. This makes sense just purely from the beta testing standpoint for anything new released and it does reward those who were with them from the beginning. I am not one of those people however.

I would love to hear how that works out. I am tempering expectations as it seems to be a pure conduction heating situation and I prefer convection. @Ky-shun, please keep us updated on the dry herb atty.

I have purchased a tripod. Plan to do a review type thing with Ti, Quartz, and Herb with App and No App! Been using this thing since Jan/February-ish so I feel comfortable making a review!

Edit: Will spam/use Herb atty an appropriate amount before video.

Did I mess up my Carta by using the iOS app?

It seems my temp 4 setting is at a low setting. I can never get it above 500 degrees F. My session counter shows 27 while my dab count shows 14 (which hasn't moved from 14).

I thought it was an issue with the atomizer so I got another one and it does the same, so I'm thinking it's the Carta. I wonder if I can factory reset the settings or something.
