Just received my black Magna Carta kit. Engraved as well. Just want to say thank you very much again @FocusV.

Did you have to contact support to get it, or did they just send you a shipping notification? If the latter, when did you get your notification?

I recieved a order confirmation via email yesterday around noon then recieved a shipping confirmation shortly after. I never had to contact support. I'll have to get back to you on the bubble cap

Edit: Bubble cap is black glass! Works great. Helps to move the oil in the corners nicely. Gonna try a 3mm ruby or two tomorrow

I had to contact IG support to get them to notice me, I also got a private message from @FocusV saying he would look into it.

Yesterday they DM'ed me on IG and said they got the go ahead to get me a black one but it wouldn't be engraved even though I had sent my information multiple days before the deadline I for some odd reason wasn't on the list.

Which is somewhat fine but still disappointing... Anyways as @freddiegibbs has said we really aren't entitled to anything so I can't really be to hurt about not getting a custom engraving on the Magna as at least they said I would still be able to receive one.

It would have been nice to have a 1/1 though so to speak!

Can you elaborate a little more so we can try to troubleshoot your issue? Do you have titanium or quartz in your atomizer? When you push the button, does it blink blue for several seconds before turning solid green? Does it stay green for 40+ seconds before shutting off? And the material in there doesn't melt at all, or just a little? Does the atomizer get hot or warm to the touch at all? Did you get any good hits off the atomizer you're using before it stopped functioning?
Ive tried titanium and quartz..i got two or three ok hits at first and then nothing at all..and i will check again but im almost positve it goes thru exact cycle like its heating but its not. Lights go green and stay there for about 30 seconds or so. Im getting no melt at all. Im able to hook up to app and change temp but something is going on becauae its going thru as normal but no vapor or no chabge in material at all..just loat a bunch of distillate type.because i was trying.that because senior stoner says get.great clouds with distillate so i was trying to figure out qhat issue was and qasting material. But now i just test with crumble becauae i can dump right out if it doesnt heat which is the only thing that happens now is just falae hope because it appears to work but no heat. And i have two atomizers..just got new one and same issue. I didnt wanna file another warranty so quick without at least checking everything but no word from @FocusV on here because i know they busy and all that so i might just have to rma..i just am so bummed to think kf the long wait but its doing me no good now. Sadface sadface..

I can understand the wait I will throw in that some companies are just small and have alot of things on their plate, when I first contacted Focus about my warranty, it took a few weeks but then have a brand new focus and though communication is slow if you order something they are right on time as long as it is not a actual focus lol. The dablab took about 2 weeks to have their OJ Recycler w opal in stock for the carta but I finally have it. Double Helix was instant like 2 days for their Focus Tornado attachment, now zcglass for instance I ordered from them 7-10, and still have not received anything, they have a disclaimer we are a small company it takes time and do not order unless you are patient, usually up to 30 days I finally read, and now they have nothing available to order since they are moving shop. Now i know it does suck seeing at these Trade Shows , Zc glass extensions for bongs etc that we do not have being used by Focus staff etc, and the glass pieces from 5th glass when we still have nothing, but that is the way it goes they are focusing on these champ glass shows, now soon those will be over, and I hope Focus can get back to customers here and cannot wait for the new accessories from Qtips (Dab Mops) to I hope Everlast Atomizers, and Zc glass will get my order processed, but the point is it will just take time. I respect them for that the only thing that sucks is when they are at these champ shows etc, and they go live, they do not respond to questions about orders etc, it is a quick 5-10 minute film of products or other products or a combination of their products with other glass products then it is over, for Randall, Christina to have time to sit down and do a live feed has just not happened yet so I am sure it will happen though. Point of this long post is we just have to be patient, believe me waiting since 7-10 for a big order sounds insane or that they dont care, but when I see ZC glass put a disclaimer on how long it will probably take, it is what it is, we just have to wait. focusV is so far the best company with warranties etc then any other one I have worked with, I like the Puffco too but they do not reach out like Focus would, or Mighty with Storz n Bickels warranty, or compared to like Loto Labs with their discontinued lux and their ever popular Legend, there accessories are expensive like way expensive, you break one of their components like a glass air tube, or the magnetic nail holder which is hell to clean you have to buy the whole kit etc. This is just my two cents, not only is every company different and how and where they reach out their products from shows, beta customers, to events, but also to how many people they have onboard to get everything done. Zc glass looks like 2 people, whereas Focus I believe is now 3. It takes time, it sucks waiting for us dabbers but it takes time.

That's definitely sucky that you have the same issue with both atomizers. And the new one that you got was a dud right out of the box? You didn't even get 1 good hit off it?

I will still give them a thorough teardown, cleaning, and reassembly before filing a warranty claim though. Just go by the video instructions here:


But obviously you're not replacing anything, just taking it apart and putting it back together. I doubt your atties are that dirty if they're relatively new, but maybe the pins need rearranging or something.

I actually had an identical issue to yours with my atty the other day. The base seemed to run the cycle like normal, but the oil never warmed up. I felt like an idiot that I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I took the atomizer completely apart and realized the ceramic plate was cracked clean in half. The hairline was so thin that it was invisible until you pulled the two pieces apart.

Yea I had same issue with hairline fracture in mine that I didn't initially noticed but the Carta wasnt erroring out

I thought the point of being a paying beta tester was that it did entitle you to every new thing they released for the carta including new cartas?

Ive tried it all. Something is obviously wrong...but what? I dont think its attty because i got 2 or 3 hits..not sure how good comparatively speaking.and now nothing..i do have lights and haptic.

Since I received my new carta with new atomizer and been using the dablab Oj recycler w opal attachment, it has been hitting amazing I made one error atomizer wasnt in all the way after cleaning it once I seen the blinking lights and with the useful carry on guide I knew the problem but that is user issue fault not mechanic faults, havent tried the double helix attachment yet but stuck on this one currently but I still think the carta is much more easier to understand and the battery life difference and great warranties which the Peak has a serious issue of honoring it unless you purchase from their store, i like them both , both have very nice attachments but i would go with Carta first and Peak second. And this kandypens Oura and other new one are just attempts but horrible attempts from what i have read compared to the specifications of the carta and peak.

I cannot vouch for it as of yet just from what I have read on forums, but I did have a Kandypens Rocky Asap Gold Pen for dabs and ccell carts, and the case broke eventually and the coating of the kandypen design for the rocky started peeling away when I soaked it in isopropyl 99.9 percent alcohol apparently it was too strong just my experience i went to Vessels since then but that's just my opinion. The Carta is still so far the best, and easiest to work with due to the functionality, instructions, battery replaceable, easy to clean, and has some amazing glass attachments and the everlast atomizers will probably knock out of the water just my opinion but excited for it.

Which reviews on the Oura were no good? What forum? I’m interested in finding all info on each one of these devices.

It just blows my mind that anyone would release a $350 e-rig with only 1 or 2 usable temperature settings this late into 2019. To me that demonstrates very little thought given to the end user experience. After using a device like the Carta that lets you customize your hit with a combination of time/temp control and accessories, I can't imagine going backwards now.

Im glad i went with carta..i just want it to work..lol..hmm. Well i guess im gonna start another warranty..but ahould i warranty the atomizer and wait anither 3 weeks fir something that doesnt fix it?? This sucks..i hate not knowing. Will they warranty just thw base?

Lets keep it real, the Carta's onboard temps aren't any better. IMO by including inserts of two totally different materials they weren't able to tune the device to anything specific. That's why I still think Focus V should have released the Magna Carta stock with the SiC bowl, fully tuned and calibrated for it. Like a premium model sports car, that doesn't need upgrades out of the box.

Maybe people with the app are having an improved experience, but from the sound of things I wonder if even 50% of Carta owners have tried the app. Hopefully the iOS hurdles are leaped over soon.

Hey everyone they have the 6 month and 1 year subscriptions for atomizers on their website again, I finally got one! I wonder if when they release the everlast atomizers if these will be included ? Does anyone know?

The peak literally has a class action lawsuit on IG.
Dont think thats really going anywhere the instagram page is mainly filled with pics of problems caused by user error and screen recordings of the owners livestreams which really have nothing to do with puffco besides him answering questions about it every now and then.

I would warranty both the atomizer again and the base, just tell them you want a whole new unit.

I love that video comparison especially that guy heating them up at the same time and seeing which one heats up quickest, has auto shutoff etc. It was a very good video but I'd agree with the carta at this point.
