Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm glad people like the new weedEater design. The idea of a flower centric Flowerpot head design was inspired right here on FC. Making these parts is a real dream come true for me. I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to express my 2 biggest passions weed, and machining.
Similar to it's older brother (showerhead) the weedEater is 20mm coil independent and lighter. The only difference in the diffuser is the 19th hole is added back. The vrod head and the weedeater nuts are interchangeable. The weedEater does not have the machined ramp in the bottom of the head. You can absolutely add a dab to the top of the nail in a pinch.
@emmdeemo we have to save something for next week.
Hello NewVape,
Thanks for designing this, I already purchased one and looking forward to using it.
I bought the vrod and shower head at the same time more than a year ago. I mastered the technique on the vrod and, as good as it is, I always felt the shower head still had a slight edge over the vrod for flower only. I’m really looking forward to this new design and think it may be even better than the shower head because of the new diffuser.
Also, I like how you made the vrod head and weed eater nut interchangeable. I believe this means that those who already own a vrod and don’t want to spend as much on the weed eater only need to buy the weed eater nut for $25, is this correct? If so, then it’s not a bad deal at all.
I see there are some out there who are not too thrilled about having to change back &forth between the vrod head (for dabbing/teasing) and the weed eater nut. One idea I have: I think it would be great if the vrod head could screw directly in top of the weed eater nut. This would make it a little easier to switch back & forth between the two. it would require a redesign of both the vrod head and weedeater nut.
Or another idea: instead of screwing two pieces together, I was wondering if it’s feasible to make the vrod head and weedeater nut magnetic so it can simply “snap” on top of the weed eater nut. I’m thinking of something similar to the MagSafe adapters from Apple that were used on MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. Probably it would require moving away from titanium, or using a titanium alloy.
To me, the perfect scenario would be to have the vrod head, weedeater nut, and diffuser all be magnetic and “snap” together without having to screw anything. Also would be great to have magnetic dabbers that “snap” to the carb cap, and magnetic posts for the pan head/shovel head bowls. This would completely eliminate the need to screw anything together.
Here’s to the lazy ones...
