Isn’t the same thing accomplished with a carb cap? I cannot imagine trying to drill smaller holes through titanium, even with a liquid cooled/lubricated CNC bit it will be at a minimum problematic which just increases cost. I’m totally cool with my ShowerHead as is. While it has a dish that goes unused, if I happen to come into some concentrate I can have a go at twaxing.. and if I like that enough I can order a VRod. I’m no machinist, but I cannot see a compelling reason to retool the product. If they do the only change I would really care to see are wrench flats so it is easier to separate the post and nut without creating wrench marks and scratches.
IMO the flower only version ideally would not require a carb cap.
I think the most appealing thing about a flower only setup is how simple it would be, not that the FP is too complicated for us, but I think there is a decent sized audience who is intimidated by the enail controller and huge option of parts. Plus a flower only version would be a bit more compact and less intimidating (potentially 16mm powered even) which is great for a huge range of smaller pipes.
Plus we all know the Flowerpot is a beast, even the "flower model" would still be fully capable of vaporizing a full range of concentrates and extracts, just not directly through conduction.
I'm just stoned rambling at this point haha, but around last December I had this vision of a ceramic Flowerpot (I called it Stoneware lol) paired with the glass bowl, and a milled heater stand for that whole industrial penthouse loft mix of organic materials look. Just a super simple vaporizer through and through, but with a very clean build. I've been checking the Ditanium thread and I think that simplicity is what many find appealing.
I have a few more ideas at improving the usability with a few PID controller modifications. Like imagine if it just moved in 5 degree increments? Wouldn't that make things so easy to dial in?
