B1 definitely has more airflow than b2. The b2 nut has 7 holes for air to pass through, whereas the b1 has that mesh screen.
Agreed. That was one of the reasons some people prefer 3mm over 4mm in the B1, because the smaller balls restrict airflow a bit more.B1 definitely has more airflow than b2. The b2 nut has 7 holes for air to pass through, whereas the b1 has that mesh screen.
When I bought my used B1 it didn’t come with a stand and I haven’t bought one. I plan on just using a coffee cup on a hot pad to put it in. Will this be safe or should I buy a stand? Also since I will be using it to kill migraine pain I will turn it on when I get up and off when I go to bed. Is it safe to leave on all day or would it be better to turn it on when needed?
Thanks, that’s what I thought.I'd go for a proper stand, but plenty have used ceramic mugs and dishes just fine.
You can leave it on all day if you want no problem. I know of a user or two that never turn them off lol. Turning it off when not in use will be better for the health and longevity of the coil/controller though.
3d print a wonky shaped base and flip snook lips upside down? Or better yet, have a Ti collar piece that slides over the top of snook lips (filling in the handle slots) containing a cross bar for the debowler spike/stomp pad. That could definitely be cool. Honestly though, I’m pretty happy with how heavy and stable it feels. Im not going to use it in the 5”. I can’t give up my AVB Can spot. I am curious if they can adapt this to become an AVB Can. I’ve got two but it seems like a lot of people would love to have at least one.
I’m not sure who to credit this idea to. I first saw it in the CH Discord. I have an an OG Baller that I wanted to utilize my weed eater top with and these are 3/4” Concave Ti Screens look really nice and function great. With a little sanding for fit I was able to get a really tight fit. You do have to make some size adjustments so keep in mind they are not a perfect fit. I suppose you could adapt these for use in the B-1 nut and potentially in the SH.
Perfect, thanks again! With the concave screen and the WeedEater nut I was able to sand it down little by little till I was actually able to thread it on. It would take a bit if force to knock it out.
I use this Harbor Frieght Apache Case when I travel with my CH gear. You might be able to get away with the 2800 model for what you want to carry in it. These are similar to the CH cases but the price is right. Mine feels high quality and I’ve been very pleased with it.I know CH do a pelican style case but does anyone use anything a little more low key?
i just bought the 3800. i need to layout everything and cut the foam out. also ordered the foam insert for the apache 2800 off the CH website. going to pick up the 2800 when the foam gets here. So far the build quality is amazing.. going to be prefect when i take it with me on some vacations.I use this Harbor Frieght Apache Case when I travel with my CH gear. Yes this or Amazon has some smell proof cases that are smaller for like $15@emily maybe something like a hard drive case or camera bag would work for you?
Just wanted to say I'm new here and still reading my way through the thread on another tab. I got my B2 setup about 4 weeks ago now. I started at the recommendation of 650 and went up 10 but didn't care for how hard I had to pull. What temps are guys running for just flower and a relatively easy draw on a b2? I ended up getting a B1 ID and right now that's perfect in a 18mm grav glass bowl. Running that 660 and having a nice easy draw. This flowerpot is a beast for sure though. I was a 10+ year daily dabber who avoided flower and now I can't wait to get home to my flower these days. From 7 grams of rosin and sugar a week down to just 1 gram now. Tbf I'm up 14 grams of flower a week now though too. Just never tasted flower like this before, and this thing makes flower hit like wax.Yes this or Amazon has some smell proof cases that are smaller for like $15

I think perhaps it's because I was using 3mm rubies too. They work wonders in the B1 ID, but perhaps a little too restricted for what I was aiming for in the B2. I'll have to add the 4mm rubies to the vgoodiez shopping list along with another coil for the b2 head.I always keep my B2 at 660f for both flower and double deckers.
But a bunch of other factors like pearl size used in the fp head, the glass piece used, the ambient room temp etc are also things that are going to determine how much airflow restriction there is and what temp you should be running.
It's going to be slightly different for everyone. Just have to experiment... For science.
I'm also glad to have found this forum, as reddit can be very toxic at the best of times. Seems like a great community here of very helpful people, hopefully this gray beard will fit right in.
Welcome to FC! It is a very helpful place. I owe many of the people here some gratitude for my vaping experience.I think perhaps it's because I was using 3mm rubies too. New to dry herb vaping but hoping since this is my 2nd dry herb vape( bought a dynavap black Friday with little expectations) I skipped a lot of unnecessary purchases. After getting the Dyna, I knew this for me, so I lurked r/vaporents till I saw this and the qaroma but being newer and the shipping steered me here. Plus I only had to tell Scott what I wanted out of the vape and he just emailed my invoice literally minutes later with everything I needed and it was all set up on arrival. On another note, I'm also glad to have found this forum, as reddit can be very toxic at the best of times. the showerhead you have, if the coil is bad you could remove any handle if you have one on there and cut the wire off of the coil and put the whole assembly in the oven for a bit to heat up and loosen any reclaim and using oven mitts try to remove the showerhead from the coil while its hot.Hi guys, long time no see.
Just ordered a B1 head for my OG flowerpot from vapefiend.
My 710 coil failed and I can't get the showerhead undone, so I've ordered the new head.
I hope it works at least as well as the showerhead...
I tried a vrod ages ago, but ended up selling it.
Hi @androponic thanks for the suggestion.the showerhead you have, if the coil is bad you could remove any handle if you have one on there and cut the wire off of the coil and put the whole assembly in the oven for a bit to heat up and loosen any reclaim and using oven mitts try to remove the showerhead from the coil while its hot.
That sucks. I have a couple of past blisters. But it stinks that it's not more easily interchangeable. Things sometimes just don't work out as planned with these things. That's part of the reason I didn't get a Ceroma head to mess around with.Hi @androponic thanks for the suggestion.
The 710 coil heats up but when it gets near temp, the Auber controller starts showing jumps in temp and then -H-. I swapped the coil and the old one still works.
I did try to take the showerhead apart while it was still warm to no avail. I've currently got it in the freezer, but will have to leave it for a day or so as I've got some blisters now
I’m pretty sure the air leak is from the 14mm and the shovelhead. The 14mm adapter seals completely. When I install the shovelhead all the way down to glass it leaks air when sealing the bowl.I agree I need to check the seal on the shovelhead
It takes a long time but eventually I get the top center dark brown. The edges are always green
I have the shovel head pushed down as far as it goes, it even pushes the screen up a little.
