here's an idea from Justin (head newVape cnc milling programer) of an adjustable bowl open for review and discussion. Please consider that even with 18mm there are many variables with hand blown glass.
The idea is to have the bowl sit on top of the glass not on the taper but still have a quality fit.
This should allow the customer to dial in the unique connection between the flowerpot and glass and eliminate the sticking from thermal expansion.

Yes, I got a FP, but I had an EVO so....no, i really didn't need the FP, but its a hobby as well as a device for medication for me.

@ataxian may or may not find the FP to be civilized.....but I suppose that would depend on if he burned the shit out himself with it or not.

My friend @ataxian is a big boy and can make his own decisions. As his friend, my only role is to merely point out to him the dangers of an exposed coil. If he feels he can handle that, more power to him. But its not clear to me that this is indeed the case.

P.S. - so, after I posted the above, I saw a bunch of posts comparing the EVO unfavorably to the FP and my first thought was "fuck, not again". Look, in almost EVERY thread on this damn board there are a group of fans (I did NOT say fan boy...just fans...people who really like the subject vape) that invariably compliment and defend their vape (which is fine) while at the same time they seem to feel that they must make negative comparisons to just about every other vapes (which is not so fine in my book). I have even seen the same posters do this for a couple of weeks then change their mind and now sing the praises of a new vape while badmouthing the one they just LOVED a week or two ago.

The EVO is a very hard hitting vape, IMO, and aside from the double decker function of the FP, both of them seem to sit in the same vaporizer ecological niche. If you like your FP much better than an EVO, no problem with me at all. But please...I also own an EVO and I also see the clouds I can get out of it. So no, I don't agree that its that so far off of an FP as a home vaporizer that people should run out and get one because otherwise they are missing so much. To me, that's baloney and does start to border on....well, something LOL

As far as @ataxian, like I said, he's a big boy and can make up his own mind. But use of an EVO is, to my mind, absolutely not the equivalent of using an FP for someone with movement disorders and dexterity issues. If he drops his EVO in his lap, perhaps he will break his glass HT and waste a load. If he drops the FP head in his lap he just burnt his balls off.

Your obviously calling me out , and that's cool if so. I respect your opinion Baron. I think you'r a cool cat , we have spoke several times via pm civilly and i admit i am NewVape fanboy. This has come about using the vape for some time now , i was not a fan at 1st until i got some usage in. I know you are pretty new to the Fp so i'd say give it some time. Now i'm not knocking the Evo , it happens to be a good vape like i said but i stand by my word from my usage perspectives that the Fp just does it better. I'm sorry but this is life , there are negatives that can come with any vape. When called out i wont sit and lie and tell you i feel the Evo is better when i don't. There are positives also if you'd like me to list them but i cant really list many when directly comparing it the Fp. Two different styles of vaporizers. I'm for sure not going to let anyone make a purchase with out knowing how i feel when i have experience with both and have put in the time using them and than they can use there judgment after that. I am no expert just someone using and honestly enjoying both while i do and if you had read what i wrote i definitely stated the hot head being a factor.

I been talking with you and following your posts for a few years now , I think this would make the perfect vape for you . I know you have medical conditions and only want the best for you'r self and situation and of course what you can afford. I respect that. That's why i recommend it , there are many other vapes out there i own or have tried that i will not recommend but this one is right up your alley. Either way you are good people and just a Homo-Sapien trying to be civilized with the Colas.

@NewVape710 the idea looks great , would a grub screw now be used for tightening the handle ? Is it a 2 piece design ? and around how big would you be aiming to make the actual bowl ? I am guessing a 2pc design so it does not stick and you can leave that second piece in your glass , clever idea if so. Maybe even instead of the grooves, but would add to cost is make just different sized heads that sit on that bottom piece so people can purchase different sizes instead of the screen. Just rambling ideas ... even though i did originally ask for screens with different levels which would work great also , i'd love to be able to fit up to 1g.

The multiple grooves for screens looks exactly like what I would want. Very nice. Full airflow around and underneath the screen.

The rest I will ponder over the evening

EDIT: I wonder which screen position is the bowl size we currently have? Because if the lowest screen position is what we have already, I wouldnt be adjusting the bowl size, therefore making the whole adjustable bottom half redundant... I think? With the load/screen closer to the head, I'd be reducing temps further, meaning dabs are less likely, which is OK for me as I'm finding I do either/or, double deckers not so much, but is still something I'd be having to consider.

@Baron23 I think you said your Liger and DNail dont stick as much as the FP bowl? Do you have an idea of why? What is it about the different designs that makes one stick more than the other?

My FP can drain .1 g in two draws, no problem. Nice and smooth too

My EVO can drain .1 g in three draws, four at the most with the last being a wisp. Nice and smooth through an HT also.

I'm not looking to pick a fight with anyone here. I do like my FP.

But no, its not the alpha and omega of vaping for all people, IMO.

The SOLO is the only portable I use.

I respect that man and appreciate what you have to say. All fair opinions and understand where you are coming from. The internet can misconstrue many things people say or vise versa . There is always going to be strong opinions and fanboys and i always find it best to do my own research or trust the ones i know well with experience. We are in the Fp thread though and maybe "better" was not the correct word or useful but i'm not sure what to really use except i feel the Fp does it better and i am sure most that had them side by side would also. I am not knocking the Evo bc i had 3 when i thought it was the last desktop i'd need , than i had tried the Fp since i am always in search of the ultimate vape for myself , now i have 1 Evo that just does not get much use. Maybe i'll make a video of both side by side soon .
