Brilliant Cut Grinder

I did not know that!

Might be worth holding out for if true...

I’ve been most interested in this one or the Crown.

I personally inquired because I wasn't sure if I wanted to get the large or not, heard they may be considering a stainless version, so I emailed them myself. It was confirmed they're working on it likely with a 2.5" (in between the standard and the current large) but I wasn't given a launch date or anything. So I'd take it as true, just a guess as to the "when"

Allegedly they're working on a stainless version, not sure if you saw that or not
Where is this from? I'm still waiting on my UM grinder, but was thinking I'd pick one of these up for whatever the next sale is, but I may hold out if there's an SS version in the works.

Edit: Disregard, missed above post.

Do I need this? Am I just lucky that the first grinder I ever bought, Chromium Crusher, $15, six years ago, is still working fine?

Obviously this is up to you, "working fine" is totally relative, if you have no complaints about your current grinder then maybe you do not want to upgrade? Whereas if I used your current grinder, I can damn near guarantee I would be frustrated lol (My friend had a chromium crusher, seems fine, but it's not as nice as SCS or SLX, and both of those are now completely unusable to me since I am used to the wonder of BCG instead!) If a grinder locks up with dense moist sticky bud, then to me it is a total waste of space as BCG never locks up!

I had a chromium crusher years ago. It was finicky but worked ok if it wasn't overloaded but overall meh, nothing special. I left it with an ex-gf. (also meh, nothing special)

I like using nice tools. I use my grinder every day. BCG consistently gets the best reviews. Definitely one of my best buys.

SS sounds interesting, I look forward to more info but I'd still recommend buying one now. You'll have no trouble selling it when the SS is available. Or maybe you'll just want to keep it.

I used cheap $10 - $15 grinders for many years, ever knowing what I was missing.

Those cheap grinders will still grind your herb up....but once you step up to the convenience of a quality grinder, you'll never want to use those cheap ones again.

I owned the SLX before the five o took it, but I remember that it was still not good enough to me.

So hearing so many things about this makes me want to get it...I have been using the large S&B grinder, and I wonder if the new BCG large size is anywhere close to that size?

EDIT: Ok so I see that the Diameter: 2.7 inches / 68.5 millimeters while my XL S&B is 90mm which makes it the BCG about 25% smaller.
I guess it could work fine.

How did you guys choose the "correct" plate for you? I honestly can't decide without going for all of them and 160USD in not cheap, you can get a proper vape for that price lol...

Here's me hoping for a 420 sale...

Medium is generally considered a great option for most folks according to most reviews I've seen. So I'd suggest going with that unless you know in advance that the devices you are using work best with a more fine or coarse grind.

Thanks for making my day..... NOT... I wrote them at the 7 week mark, got a quick response saying one of the plates had to be re-anodized. Funny, wish I could find the now old email from my original small BCG grinder, as I recall the same issue holding up the shipping. Oh well, actually GLAD to hear yours is on the way, we ordered about the same time, so that’s a good sign. ENJOY, wish I could have beat you .... :)

Received notice, shipping label created for LARGE full kit. Assuming it’s delivered next week, total wait time = 10 weeks.
If it functions as well as my small BCG, I’ll be happy.

If it's in stock in seven weeks we'll see if I still want/need it.

Haha yeah, I thought you might have misunderstood how it works here, Texas explained it, this isn't pre-order crowdfunding, just ordering in advance as they are made in batches, made to order as he said... 7 weeks is how long it takes to make one grinder, typically! Worth the wait, for sure, though it is definitely an investment, delayed gratification, but many of us keep buying more because of how much gratification!

Yeah dude, there will be a 420 sale maybe announced any day now? Should be... And absolutely just get the medium plate if you only want one, if you need to grind more finely you can turn it upside down, and I turn it upside down even for a medium grind, I just flip it over soon after. If I want a coarse grind, I don't grind upside down at all, and it comes out decently course I think! Though I'm curious to try course, and/or maybe this chunky course some people have gotten, but it is not so necessary I think? I mean, it's not necessary for me to have three BCGs, but I can damn near guarantee you I will end up with more still!

I have been using the coarse plate when I have drier cannabis than normal (usually if I run out of humidity packs)
and it works really well that way

I dont ever really use the fine plate.

That’s interesting, now and then I do a medium grind, and wonder why it’s more like fine, then I realize the bud was dryer then I thought. I’ve never used my BCG coarse plate, but will the next time I get a dry bud.

I use the FINE plate for my Dynavaps and sometimes a Mighty capsule. The MEDIUM plate gets the most action, nice having ALL the PLATES!

I was leaning towards fine but went with medium because that's what most people recommended when I asked. I like it. It seems like a medium fine grind to me so I haven't felt the need to grind upside down yet.
Coarse makes sense for over dry flowers.

I started with just the fine and was very satisfied, but after having gotten the medium a year later, I ordered just medium with my large BCG... It's funny people saying coarse plate would be good for dryer herbs, because my intention would be to get it for fresher moist dense herbs to milk the flavors and effects with less destruction of the physical integrity of the plant?

So my Large BCG arrived in mid december and has been my go to since it arrived. I noticed today though after cleaning I am getting some spots where I cant tell if its chipping but I have a orange one and can clearly see spots of silver. While minute and miniscule makes me wonder, anyone else encountering this or know if its safe or something to worry about?
