Hi folks,

I get a china enail, and wants to buy a battery for use the enail outside home. (i dont have more money to do my self a better enail or buy a better one )

I get this https://www.amazon.com/Electric-Tem...UTF8&qid=1521383897&sr=8-7&keywords=enail+kit

What portable battery i can use?

Thanks
For 110V and the power you'd need, I suspect you'd need a UPS-type battery. It's "portable" in that you can carry it from place to place. But, I don't think that'w what you're looking for. What is your plan for the device?

I would have recommended this one to you first.
It is 12V powered and portable, so you can use it indoors or on the move.
https://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=45&products_id=491

Otherwise you can look at something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/BiXPower-Porable-Capacity-Watt-hour-Rechargeable/dp/B00Z42W50M

My recommendation would be return the one you bought and get the first one i linked.

One more option i missed:

In my country i can take this shitand smoke in the plaza or park without taking care of the police or similarshit. So is good to take away with me and use a dab rig without toch. I allready have a "portable enail" green light vapes , but i like to smoke in a real glass rig.
I use this green light vapes g9 only for go to work, sincerely they does not have that much power

This errl is sooooo nice, but so much money jajajaja

definitely out of cuestion using shitlike a bigass portable power pack or UPS-type battery, i dont know 110v use so much power. ajjaja

But i make rosin press, and have some inkbird 106vh, maybe can use this controller and a coil to make a 12v enail.

So , if i tink build some 12 v enail, what battery you recomend, and what coil i need to use?

@Ambarrosin

If you look on the Auberins site i linked, you will find all the info you need.
They sell 12V 70W coils etc...
This is the info you need off that site:
Specifications:
Controller:

Operating voltage: 12VDC
Maximum: 8 Amp
Input power connection: Barrel Connector 5.5 mm OD, 2.1 mm Pin. Center Positive
Coil connection: Mini XLR 4 Pin
Dimension: 3.1 x1.2 x 4.2 inch, (80 x 30 x 107 mm)

DC Flat Coil:
Power rating: 70W at 12VDC
Dimension: 10mm ID, 28mm OD.
Cable length 55 in
Temperature range: 200 to 1000°F.

You would use LIFEPO4 batteries to power this.

I am not the battery guy here by any means!
Hopefully someone will stop by to help you out.

@Ambarrosin ... whatever batteries you look at, you will need them to supply ~6A at 12V. This is some serious energy! There is actually very little difference AC vs DC as if using 12V vs 120V it just means you will require 10x the current (ie. a 70W coil @ 120V would only require ~0.6A)

You need either 3 * 4.2V batteries in series with support for continuous discharge of 6A +. These batteries won't last long in this usage I imagine. Heat it up a couple times maybe? (Unless you use a car battery of course)

The size of the heater coil, and the mass you are heating, really just not suited to running on battery. Just my 2 cents. (that being said, maybe after the initial 1-2 minutes ramp up time, the power requirements wouldn't be that bad ... so ... let's do some math.

Let's assume 3 batteries (18650, 10A continuous discharge support, 2,500mAh).
- since in series, you will only get 2,500mAh total out of them (they will run 10.8V - 12.6V ... 3.6V to 4.2V for batteries).

So at 2,500mAh, that is 2.5Ah. Since you are pulling 6A ... maybe assuming 33% duty cycle, so you can ~2A ... so you might actually get an hour!!!!

Hmmm ... maybe not bad! But does require 3*18650 batteries :)

With that e-nail you should be able to use an AC battery pack. Just search for that on Amazon and choose the largest you can afford with at least 85W of output. For me I get about 2 hours from one 24,000mah pack. The Auber units won't work with those battery packs, I think they need pure sine wave inverters.

Does Errlectric use the standard d-nail wire pattern? Doesn't look like they sell a flat coil? If I can get this with a flat coil i'm so in! Otherwise thinking that mobile auber with a battery pack!

Errlectric only supports their own coils and nails.
And that is a sweet mobile pack.

easy re-wire?

I don't have an Errlectric, but I don't think it would be easy?
There is a dedicated Errlectric thread in Desktop Vaporizers, perhaps people have opined on the possibility there.
They were ahead of the game with regard to controllers, but IMO their selection of nails (or at least nail material) is lagging behind the times.
I'm not a big fan or their "closed ecosystem" concept.

Hello Lazylathe, I read the thread, where you hooked up your sublimator with the auber rdk-200. I also bought a thermocouple and opened a 5 pin xlr to rewire. The rdk is showing as operating, but For some reason the heater head is not heating up (this is also what the rdk shows...not heating up). Do you mind to help me out a bit.
Am desperate. Thx!

YES! Simply open the XLR with a star and rewire to D_Nail pin outs.

Could you upload some pics?
What I have come across in my adventures of using enails is that all are not the same...
What heater do you have? Watts, voltage.
What are you attempting to do? Heating what with an enail?

Some pics of equipment and specs would be helpful.

I purchased a 5 pin to 3 pin xlr cable and soldered the thermocouple cable to the proper pins (of the 5 pin). I did not bother to solder the ground back to the pins (also not to the 3 pin)

Not sure what other info you need? I would like to use my auber rdk200 to run my sublimator. My monkey Controller broke and is not repairable.

I know your intent was to steer away from a torch, but there is no better portable option than the Rio by Stashe.... IMO the ultimate portable dab rig and a cold-start POWERHOUSE.
