I'm thinking about picking up some gold metallic vinyl and wrapping my ascent with it. The names Vinci...... DaVinci!!!!
I don't think 'ruin' is the right word. It didn't help it any, but reduction in service life and capacity (hopefully both minor) are the downside here as I understand it.
The battery will die eventually no matter, but most guys want to get the most out of it in the process. I suspect you'll get plenty of enjoyment from it no matter.

The purpley-black piping is a beautiful, understated touch.
The latch isn't as annoying as I had feared, but I can imagine a future version where they incorporate it between the main portion and the heater section so it doesn't stick out the side
Feels quite nice in a hand--the inner stripe has an almost rubbery feel to it, not unlike the back of a Nexus 7.
Yup.
(BTW: "Black Chrome")
Are you thinking DIY?I have a few ideas for this myself.
Perhaps--maybe it'll go away with heating. If customs stored the shipment in a damp warehouse then perhaps that is the reason for the condensation? Not good, but not a deal breaker for me either.
This leads to the question whether or not the battery circuit is entirely independent from the rest of the Ascent - in other words: if or when the battery dies, will we still be able to use the Ascent plugged in?
This what you're looking for?I strongly doubt it. What does the nameplate on the charger say?

Have same issue with mouthpiece, but not so bothered its more the fact my buttons are wrong.Just received mine. I admit it feels "thrown together". There is a bit of white stuff on the bottom of mine, it's glue that is showing. The mouthpiece that came in my unit slides down into the unit very easily. By a light touch it will slide down. The other mouth pieces are not as bad but definitely a downside. My LCD also has that look to it. But mine is not condensation. The plastic screen cover is scratched on the inside. You cannot tell when the unit is on though. Is anyone else having issues with their mouthpiece sliding into the unit way too easily? This will be a very annoying issue for me
The notch is in the lid--I don't believe the jar itself has one.for the VERY few that have used this with oils and have stated to leave the cap off the oil can... i tried it with some ABV oil i made (kinda runny when heated, thick as molasses when cool) and i left the cap off. i set the temp for max and before it reached the max i heard the oil "bubble over" and "pop" and sure enough it was a mess. i need better insight to using the oil cans. also.... isn't the oil can supposed to have a notch or something the stir tool can grab and pull the can from the ascent bowl?? i can't seem to find one and now have to dump the oil can out by turning the unit upside down

Maybe put the lid back on and pull it out that way?
How full did you fill the jar?
