Awesome, but which accessory? the U-tool is specifically for leaf? I'd love to see an actual connection from the ascent to a bublAH

I like how it clearly shows how to use the thing, instead of a hawt chick in a tank top, I can actually see the item I'm about to fork over some $$ for

Is it though? I see no clasp. Perhaps it was an internal part after all!

The 'U-tool' is for oils, not flowers. It's so you don't need to turn the unit upside down and get oil everywhere

I think it would be cool if they came up with a bowl separator; to give you the ability to vape another herb with your flowers to mask the smell. That way you wouldnt get it mixed with your avb... if your into saving it

I just had a thought while watching the new video, when they say "glass lined ceramic" do they mean it's just a ceramic bowl with glaze on it, aka "glass"?

^. That's correct. The bowl is actually ceramic. But it's lined with a thin layer of glass. So nothing actually touches the ceramic.

I think I'll get the u-shaped adapter even though I will use it mostly with flowers. Maybe it's unwarranted paranoia, but I don't want the herb puck sliding off the bottom of the bowl while it is upside down if I was using the straight tool, since the herb should be packed as tight as possible and be closest to ceramic as possible for optimal function, if I'm not mistaken. Is that a potential problem?

It's the heat chamber that is ceramic lined with glass/glaze; the bowl itself is definitely all glass.

Yeah you're right, my bad :\

Wishful thinking strikes again, I was thinking that the flowers went inside this for some reason

Not according to page 10 of the previous thread. Unless it has changed which i doubt it has. The actual bowl has to hae some sort of material conducts heat well. http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/a...inci-pre-sale-thread.8179/page-10#post-333659
Edit- agree 100 percent the bowl is glass. But under that glass is ceramic.

You should be able to do both. Hahaha like it needs an even bigger bowl :p

So from what i'm understanding its ceramic with glaze on it? Not a ceramic bowl with a separate blown glass liner? I wish DV would pop in and answer this.

I think that's it. Basically glazed ceramics have a powered glass coating baked onto them in the second firing that seals the surface as I understand it. Like a coffee cup.

You wouldn't really want a blown in place liner, it would be thicker and not well bonded to the ceramic, both of which would adversely effect the heat transfer into the load....what we've all been waiting for.

Or not.

Just noticed in this picture of the bowl it appears that one of the sides has a raised bump that woud keep the oil can from making full contact in the bottom of the bowl? Or are my eyes screwing with me? I'm talking about the thingy on the left side of the bowl in this pic, what do you guys think?

For fun you eye is screwing with you but I bet your observation with your screwy eye might be correct...better airflow.

Maybe its to keep the oil can from chattering up and down due to the bottom of the can setting flat against the bottom of the bowl ? It would look to cause less contact and heat transfer, if that is in fact what it is.

I think it is to keep the oil can from touching the bottom...if it was a stop-gap for combustion, it would be around the entire bowl

Is anyone else concerned about this "extra" air reviewers have been mentioning while using the mouthpiece?

It seems to be less noticeable when using the buddy-rim but its something almost all the reviews on youtube have mentioned.

I hadn't noticed that, but I hates a hard draw and the buddy rim looks pretty cool quite frankly. All that concerns me is whether we will get shipping notices monday or not.

I ordered this, I think it might just fit:

IMO...there is no 'extra' air, it is more of a 'free flowing' air. There is zero draw resistance with the vaporizer and thats due to the holes on the bottom of the bowl.
Every vape has a different draw speed required for optimal performance and the ascent is no different...for me it requires a slow steady draw...because if I draw fast there is more air than vapor being inhaled, if you have an original dv vape there shouldn't be too much of a difference in the two as far as draw technique is concerned

If it was only one person that mentioned it I would have dismissed it but its something all three of the people below noticed(They all have Youtube channels if you wanna look them up).

Oh and I believe in Vapelife Will's review he mentioned DaVinci is already working on a new mouthpiece(not so sure on his source).

It's also the reason or one of them for the delay in release
