@OF, the vaporizer was already out of warranty but I know that opening stuff usually voids the warranty. Regarding the video and the other post... when scouring the internet for solutions to a strange problem I'll take anything on with both hands. These posts were the only things I could find that described the same problem as I had and provided a fix for it. Naturally I'm no expert so I can hardly tell if what he's doing is any good but it was better than nothing, obviously.
Regarding the term 'blue light of death', AFAIK its just a play on the 'red ring of death' from the xbox. Would a broken battery explain the weird behaviour of the blue light when I was handling the wires leading to the heating element?
@CarolKing He never had any problems with it and he hadn't used it for over a year as he stopped smoking/vaping weed. I got it for €85,- which is about $95.
@ataxian Do you know where I can find these 2200 x 2 1860 batteries? I live in The Netherlands.
