It's not OK to leave the Solo on the charger all the time when it's already charged up?Now that's planning ahead! What are you going to do for a vape while the paint dries?
Kind of explains the guys you see with paint on their hands though, doesn't it?
It's fine. There are two levels of protection in play from out and out abuse. Once the charge light goes solid it's basically shut down. The most you've done is taken a few dozen sessions off the battery service life by not stopping earlier.

It's not OK to leave the Solo on the charger all the time, that it will weaken the battery somewhat?
Not charging it up all the way theoretically stretches battery life with these types of batteries. His formula for extending battery life goes something like using it until it only shows level 1 on battery check and charging up to before the level 7 indicator turns solid. It's not OK to leave the Solo on the charger all the time when it's already charged up?
It weakens the battery somewhat? Is that what I'm hearing?
I let the one I painted sit for 24 hours before use. "TODAY"!nice paint job ataxian. been considering changing the finish on mine as well. although i may wait until ive got a second solo.
Dorkus, I got me a nice bit of driftwood to make one of these I was looking for ideas on google images and thought this nice wooden one (that looked mighty familiar) was by far the best !!!Glad yr a fan chucku, I know I sure am.
In fact I spent the day road testing the solo further & still cant fault it.
Due to the wet weather, & couldnt be bothered doing much else.
I had an idea, had a piece timber lying in my backyard and within 10mins of dicking around
( I am no master craftsmen)
There be the SOLO RECHARGE STATION---
EDIT- it just sits in there nicely and charges away. when I want to use it, I just pull it up till the power disconnects. turn it on & let it sit there heating up. it actually rests on the charge pin, as long as I dont press down on it, it wont charge.
heats up, I use it, turn it off when done. Just place it back in the SOLO STATION, a slight wiggle & the pin finds the point on the bottom of the solo, press down gently, beep, charging away.
awesome, very low tech, but works like a charm.
Well my first night with the Solo was amazing. Gotta get used session style vaping. I definitely need a screen and I want to dome it to make my bowl smaller. It's a 1/2" screen I need right? What's the best way to dome it? I'll also be in the market for a gong and a bubbler soon. My throat is a little sore this morning.
The INDICA I just got taste so good I had a ALL IN WONDER BOWL and a PHVES during my WAKE and BAKE session. The only thing is I was "COUCHED" for 3 hours!Solo M1D2 should arrive today!
@ataxian- I'm glad to see one of my West Coast friends up with me today! Can't wait for the mail, I am anxious to try my new friend Solo!
I have SOLO's because their simple easy to use and have glass stems. Plus their cheap like me!Have any of you guys here been able to compare the vapor quality of the Arizer Solo and the DaVinci Ascent??
I'm looking at both of these right now and the Solo was appealing to me but I used one of my friends that he'd had for a few months and it tasted slightly metalic, almost like I was vaping weed from a lightly used curling iron or something, it wasn't overpowering but I noticed it and it concerned me for a second, I'm just wondering if that's normal or not?? It is a stainless heater so I thought it could be possible... and this is what lead me to look at the Ascent even though it's more expensive because of how pure the vapor SHOULD be with all glass down to the heater and everything, but then I read about old issues with this rubber/sillicone taste and that conserned me as well as I didn't want to be spending so much money on something and have it have a not turn out to have such a clean taste after all... So have an

Guess I've been racking up a few more cycles with my methods? My Solo'll need it, I've been giving it hell these last few days

Sometimes it comes down to personal choice when it comes down to a portable vaporizer. Also you may be extra sensitive to smells.
I have both vapes and enjoy them. The Solo is easier to use. If this is your first vaporizer the Solo may work better for you.
It comes down to preference.
What's your opinion? If you had to rate them on taste which one would you put on top (I know it's probably very slight on improvement but I'm just curious) the Ascent or the Solo?
That little bubbler looks really cool let us know how it goes when you get it I might have to follow suitMy solo is getting reinforcements on monday.

You were right. I kept it for a while, but the problem recurred. I sent it back and Aroma-Tek sent me a new one within a week. Very fast customer service.I would be suspicious and send it back. It sounds like the temperature sensor has a bad connection. This would cause the heat to run a muck. In my thinking anyway.
Screwing the top or changing the pressure may have been enough to cause the connection to work again.
Try loosening it to see if you can repeat the error.
Regardless, it would be a trust thing now. If you have no back up vape then use until you get one.
Makes for a Merry Christmas.
That's good news that the turnaround was so quick. Good for Aroma-Tek. Guess the importance of having a back up unit hits home at these times. You were right. I kept it for a while, but the problem recurred. I sent it back and Aroma-Tek sent me a new one within a week. Very fast customer service.
I am working on making a diy vape and I would like to use a glass whip. The one on the solo looks really nice and i was wondering if someone could give me the diameter of the glass mouth piece where it slides into the device so I can draw mine up to fit?
Yeah, you're also right about a backup. I'm new to vaping, and during the week I was waiting for the Solo, I bought a Da Buddha! It's only been a few weeks, but I don't think I can be without a working vaporizer again. That's good news that the turnaround was so quick. Good for Aroma-Tek. Those intermittent failures can be a service nightmare. Always seem to work during inspection on the bench.... Put back together and classify as good.
