Arizer Solo

There are a few vapes out there with unrestricted airflow so maybe that is better for you? The SSV comes to mind then you can feel like you are smoking.

or it's little (and cheaper) brother the DaBuddha is great for airflow too.

I used this pack and there are 2 in there, now before any yells about them not being as heat resistant as the Amazon ones, take the cover off turn it up to 7 and after heated touch the black retaining ring in there and you will notice out isn't that hot so high temp silicone isn't necessary

Dam people this SOLO is off the rocker. I just got one from a friend on sunday and this vape is awesome, my new favorite. Monster clouds on setting 3,4 or 5 (mostly stay on setting 4) and the taste is amazing. Battery life is great too, i have already had 5, 6 sessions and its still going strong on the same charge.. Vitolo helped me out a bunch and wanted to say THANKS VITOLO!!!!!!!!!!! Now i am just waiting on the different stems vitolo recommended (ordered both yesterday) and have to say i love my bran used solo..

You should try it since its more comparable to the solo than SSV or DB since its also glass to glass connection and not whip...but anyway the solo is different and tiny :D
I still get blazed from the solo ... its just so easy

You know how I love my glass. I will have to read up on it but I thought it was basically for water which is not my thing. I do like the very occasional hit through water during allergy season...four times a year here and all year lower levels. The PN WT works so nice with the solo and I don't need anything buy my stem or my extended glass straw. I don't see a need, but again not a water person, for a tighter fit.

Hey FC people!!
For my debut on this forum i'd like to thanks a lot all of you who make this huge topic about this amazing piece of joy!!
I've put some work reading almost 300 pages before buying mine, but after all the tips and reviews i was sure i couldnt go wrong with Solo!!
As my first vaporizer i thought would be harder to get into it, but the major thing i believe its just a matter of gettin used with the long and slow draws and wait for the magic to happen- and this is what i'm gettin, mostly on levels 3/4, with nice clouds after the third or forth draw!!!
I've got mine M1A4 from an authorized Arizer seller from Ebay for $145 and notice what others told about battery indicator- after it shows no more battery i still manage to get 4 full 12 min cycles(discover this the day it arrives as i combusted for the last time to say good bye and got a bit too high misundesrtanding the Solo indicators...hope i dont ruin it for lettin go dry this one time!!)
Anyway, its been a week and i'm soooo amazed - and fckn high!!!!- by the effects im gettin with Solo!!!

Best regards from Brazil to everyone, now vaporizing for life!!!

Thanks for the response, although I still think we're 'talking across purposes' here. You say you're not taking expectations with you but want it to be like a bong? That's exactly what I'm talking about. You're not accepting the vapor the way it was designed to be delivered. You say you think the engineers did a good job but somehow PV has done it better and since they're geographically close (how does that matter in today's 'global economy'?) they should adopt PVs products. As I said before, the Solo designers passed up lots of other opportunities to build in this function. PV just came along and said 'how do we modify this to get more airflow'? Give the engineers due credit if you say you think they're competent?

You know Vapman? I've got one, pretty neat IMO, it has three small vents in the top piece for this exact reason, to dilute and cool the vapor. PV didn't invent the idea. If you read that thread, some few folks after less but thicker vapor (and willing to put up with the harder draw and higher heat) plug those holes. I believe there's a clue there.

I think it's a good thing that capitalism provides aftermarket stuff like the PVHES at reasonable costs to folks interested. This includes stuff like Ed's Stems, which are also highly prized by some owners, but not for the masses. I think, however, you're still missing the fact that the majority of the owners are probably quite happy with the design.....which is what they set out to achieve? In their ignorance, they're contentedly sipping on their Solos to what they feel is great effect.

Thanks again.

OF

Thanks for your input OF, there is definitely a lot i can learn from you. i think it comes very much down to preferences. not everyone likes blunts & not every one likes joints & bong. each has their own preferred method that they like more than the other. same with the draw resistance, some people appreciate the thicker clouds with the draw resistance & some people appreciate the easier draw like we are traditionally used to. i am one of those people that like a better air flow & appreciate the easier draw resistance. i am by no means looking for a bong like effect but what i mean by ''kind of'' like a bong is that more easier & cooler vape, that is what i enjoy. lets just say i am big fan of ice bongs but now i don't smoke anymore i vape & looking for the same effects. i never said it matter that both companies are geographically closer, but my point is they might just be helping each other out & it might be a business scheme for all we consumers know.

$un, certainly by now you must understand what the differences between the PVHES models. In addition to all the responses you have gotten from multiple posts about the subject, they detail the differences clearly on their website. You obviously feel the restricted air flow is an issue. You need and 18mm PVHES turbo GONG, no carb. TA DA! that is it! Your quest has come to an end! If it feels too airy, add a few fine mesh screens and pack tighter.

In the meantime, slow your draw to a sip (as OF mentioned). Try to draw for 30-40 seconds SLOWLY with your stock stem lifted slightly off the floor of the heating chamber. If your feeling a tightness in your chest as you draw, you are pulling way too hard.

i wrote to pv & they explained to me what each one does & their effects, so yes now i understand what i need to go for. i just got into the vaping game maybe 3-4 months ago & had the solo for about 2 weeks now, so i am still pretty much getting used to it. i think i just have to train myself to draw slower & longer, i think at times i don't pay attention & unintentionally draw a little harder. as time goes by i will master the draws even more from practice. but after breaking the glass screen on my stock stem it has helped A LOT also by lifting the stem a bit makes a noticeable difference, thanks for your input i much appreciate it.

Do you really mean 82-105C or did you mean 180C-220C

There's no real point vaporizing above 220C, I mean hardly any point as pretty much all of the cannabinoids are extracted...

I think the solo offering 210C is great, I really don't think we need more than that to get high... but sure the massive vapes offer more than that and you can also combust (starts at 236C) - then you feel you're more wasted than the solo ... but truth is the solo does the job as well as my LSV, but it doesn't rape me ;)

I ment 220F so that would be at... 105C. But yessir you are correct any higher than 220C (see what I did there) would not be good at all then the bad compounds start to come out..

Hi there, I have been lurking here for quite some time. Quit smoking cig for more than 20 years but kept combusting mj until I met my first iolite two years ago and quit combustion for good ever since. Anyway, I've bought a solo from Randy and a wooden stem from Ed and I must say I really enjoy this solo since I have it about two weeks ago and I have already packed my eq and my mflb perhaps for good too. I am now very interested to buy some glass from PV but need to learn more since I don't know much about glass. One thing I do notice after I put Ed's wooden stem into the solo that the stock glass stem becomes very loose afterward. I wonder whether those PVHE stems and gongs from PV have a closer fit more like ED's wooden stem or as loose as the stock glass stem? Thank you!

Hey Dreamerr ,
I want the WT from the Pinnacle , to use on the Solo .

Will it attach to the " stock " Solo stem ?
or
Do I have to get a special PVHES Gong stem ?

Water Path with a SOLO!

Hi ataxian, that is definitely on my agenda! I need to buy a gong first. I shall be using these glass in conjunction with Ed's wooden stem for going out, I worry the loose fitting of the glass to solo after the usage of wooden stem. I have tried the 'heat up to 7 and press against something sold" trick but it only helps a bit, my stock glass stem is very loose now and will fall off if I turn the solo upside down.

Edit: I also like the WT from the Pinnacle and the FC bubbler if it ever means anything!

I use the stock glass stem mostly.

I can't seem to get the PVHES (Always out of stock) however the glass adapters work fine.

Just to be sure, you guys know that you can use the regular stem with a 14.4 joint bong, right?
I don't own a gong and i use the Solo like this and i think it's quite pratical.

I'm sure the gong is better but it's no excuse if you already have a bong to use. :)

I like that too but I read somewhere that PV is going to have a sturdy gong coming out soon and is shorter than your one which I would prefer! I've also heard that PV may have a surprise for everyone on 420, so I am keeping my eyes open for those hard to get glassware!
