My take is Thor's Thunder is a seller, not a brand. Has over 3000 reviews? Nealy all positive if I read that right.
It started out at like ten bucks so I expect it won't go much higher? Interesting about the silver face, and did you notice it's a 2012 model?
FWIW I'm glad I had Randy at PIU in my corner, my first unit died out of the chute, Randy emailed me a label (put it on the porch for the postman) at the same time he started the replacement on it's way to me. The local PO still screwed it up, but that's likely no matter. Let 'em near something important and you're taking chances.

I was kinda hoping was the boss' kid. Being 'talked down to' by a guy who shaves once a week if he needs it or not is not inspiring to me.....then again, I've bought mine so it really doesn't matter to me.

Has anyone posted or showed a video showing how to put the ring in so that my Gong I order fits upside down? Or are you guys not able to put it upside down without the gong falling out?or are you leaving the gong inside the water pipe? Is their a video out showing this? Thank goodness I have my pinnacle WT

If you mean a o-ring or washer you just unscrew the top, put the stem in and the ring and screw the top back on. Now if it is really tight like mine is I have to unscrew each time but then again I am afraid to put a huge amount of pressure to remove the stem or put it in. I just can't find anyone with a dremel to shave it a bit. I think that in itself is strange.

I was unable to mate my solo stem with the infamous bubbler. just couldn't get a good draw out of it, still waiting for the gongs to come back in stock.
will there be any draw resistance with the gong & bubbler hooked up to the solo?
also after how many seconds should i take each draws?
is this the 14mm keck clip that your using? what kind of gong did you use for it? i am asking because i just bought the same bubbler yesterday to hook it up with my solo.

Hey all, I 'd like to share a fast but effective DIY solution for matching the Solo with most water glass pieces. In my case a 40$ bubbler from pippesdaddy. I am not sure if it has been mentioned before but nevertheless... I am waiting for an order of GonG adapters from PV but until then I need to use my bubbler so I used some plastic food wrap, folded it and wrapped it tightly around the straight Solo stem in multiple layers. You 'll need more for 18,8mm and less for 14,4mm.
It fits nice and airtight, I believe it can handle the not-so-high temperature at that spot and I haven't noticed any smell or taste from the plastic.
It's secure enough to hold the weight of the Solo and I can handle everything one handed. I only lift the Solo to empty the bubbler with the other hand.
I 'll shoot a vid next time I clean the bubbler...
Finally, for a Broke Bastards Glass Consortium's set up I believe it's very comfortable to handle, it milks great, it gives a definitely smoother hit than a Solo stem but still tasty, it bubbles a lot, it's my first glass thing and I LOVE IT...!!!
The Solo rocks even more now!

You know I continue to worry you may be carrying expectations from blazing over to this vaping thing? Once again, honking on the machine when there's no cherry to fire up and make more heat doesn't make vapor faster....all we can do is dilute what comes off. This is all PV HE stems do, they're not magic, there's no more herb there, the heat is the same. Like watering down your Scotch, the glass is fuller (bigger clouds) but still has the same about .4 ounces of Ethanol to offer. Weigh the loads carefully before and after and see for yourself once you get into a position to do so.
I continue to believe the Engineers were neither short sighted, ignorant or incompetent. They surely tried various schemes popular with some and decided to do what they did for what they believe are sound reasons. They could have done the PV stem tricks in hardware on the unit (say vent below the Teflon seal ring every one thinks is too loose anyway?) but didn't.
Them's the rules as I see it.

I bought a GONG from planet vape and it came. when I put my solo upside down, do you guys stem fall out?? mine does. will the o-ring help it so it doesn't fall out so I can put it upside down to put in my water piece? or are you guys leaving the Gong in the WT THEN putting the solo on top of the gong to hit?. btw works ok with my Pinnacle WT with a little skill to twist off

I had one that was very snug fitting so it did not matter.
If it's loose fitting then I would put the GonG adapter in the water piece first.
I have a new one coming (18mm) so thanks for the heads up.
Maybe I won't break this one?

yes putting an o-ring between the black retaining ring and the metal cap well prevent it from falling out of the solo at all. I have to mean to pull my stem out now when it used to fall out all the time.
ataxian, you shouldn't have a problem with your new one being loose, I think it it's an " issue" with the m1A4 models, arizer probably made ut looser because people complained it was too tight

I got mine at home depot in a small mix pack of o-rings, it was like $2.50. I think the size is 113 but not sure as I just used trial and error to get the right one

Don't be discouraged, Big Guy, you can do it! You've never let us down for long, have you?
You might want to contact DR, he's got proven abilities to launch small part of his TV rigs great distances over broken rocks to make it to the polluted river....a skill you might find useful?
Me too. But if you say put a vented stem on and/or pull lots of cold air through that little heater meant for less volume and you don't want to cool off too much under the added demand, you'd better turn up the fire. Much like speeding up the old family car before hitting the hill at full throttle.
It's a handy technique for some. Good show it's an easy option for them.

Okay so I'm back, and hot damn the PVHES turbo is the next level of vaping, way better air flow, great fit, even tastes better than my old stem, these stems should be shipped with the solo from the get go. The best purchase I have made since the Arizer solo. PV is doing a great service to all solo owners by making and distributing these stems and accessories 10/10 PV you guys did great.
