How do you tell how much battery the solo has when it turns on? Is it the one orange light that indicates it, cause that one always seems to stay on 7? I have the M1D model

Right after you see the single orange light on 7 is when the battery life shows.

I'm not sure if the M1D is different than the M107 (which I own) in terms of battery life display, but with the M107 the blue light (idle light) flashes first, then the light at level 7, then the battery level.

Check this out, only thing that was strange was it said free shipping over $50 but it still charged me $5.49 shipping, but still a great price for an m107... $136.32 ( $141.81 total ) they have amazon links all over, so maybe they were one of the sellers that got booted from amazon...

I'll be honest, I was kicking myself after sending that amazon $136 solo back, and then they all went away that very afternoon, after it had been picked up, then to see all of the ones on Amazon go away, got me regretting it for sure. So hoping this one is as good as the last was.

I've been enjoying the living hell out of my Solo lately with a new method for concentrates. Start the Solo on max, and then carefully place a small, flattened pancake of concentrate directly in the center of the heating chamber using a pair tweezers. Insert the stem and proceed to get a short, intense, lovely, flavorful session. The concentrate will turn to dessicated powder at the bottom of the chamber and can be easily scraped away with a bamboo skewer.

I went ahead and re-ordered another M107 from the site I linked a few posts back. Hoping for the best. I want to be able to run a Solo for years to come, so it will be nice to have back up!

I should of specified that I'm using dry sieve or cold water - they both stick right in place nicely. Any kind of wax or oil would definitely need something to soak into.

I can't imagine how stoned these testers probably are at the warehouse.

Well I just ordered two from separate dealers, one here in Canada and Puff it Up in the US. Both had great prices. I'm interested to see which one ends up to be the better price all in. I'm keeping both so I have a backup. Funny, but PIU has shipped but I've not heard a word from the other dealer from whomever I ordered first. I'll report later.

I believe that's a dugout. Meant to hold a bit of herb and a one hitter, if I'm not mistaken.

It's a solo dugout, with a solo stem, but I believe it was custom order. Ed made a couple of them, not sure if it will be on his site.

Larger than normal, to hold a larger '1-hitter' that fits in the Solo, looks to me.

thats nice stu, ed had showed me those awhile back...wow they turned out nice I must say... I have had my solo for about month now, I gotta silver m107 from PIU.. very fast processing & shipping on my order... ed's granadillo stem fits the solo so well, I do notice that its better to put the tube in the solo and let it heat up some before inhaling.... overall I am beyond pleased with both the solo and ed's stems... if I had the dough I would getta cocobolo stem

Yes, it's a Solo dugout. The stem is an inch shorter than the regular wood stems. This makes it (for me) a great vaporbonging tool. Don't try this handsfree with any glass stems....

The Dugout itself is gorgeous. Ed just does phenomenal work and the quality is obvious.

The only problem that I need to figure out is how to get a proper spring mechanism in the stem portion of the dugout. I'm going to try to rig something so that the stem will "pop up" when the top lid gets twisted off. This way you can easily remove the stem without spilling your stash from the other side. Ed's thinking about a solution and so am I. I am planning on researching springs over the weekend to find a suitable solution. If anyone has any bright ideas, please feel free to share!

I don't know if Ed will go ahead and make more of these unless the spring issue gets figured out, though. So I may have a real rare piece indeed!
