Remember the Solo is a portable. A desk type unit is more powerful. The Solo's heater needs to recover so you need to wait at least 30 seconds before taking another draw.
The Solo has very nice flavor but will diminish at the last of your session. What's dry for one one person isn't dry for someone else. It depends on how hot you vaporize at. I use temp 4 and 5 mostly.
You may decide on water filtration but you don't need to. Sometimes I do like using a j hook. The water, it can take away from the taste of the cannabis. A water tool dry is a good way too.
I have an EVO too. I use it before bedtime usually. The Solo uses less cannabis than the EVO. I use my E-nano more than the EVO I have.
I like being able to use a vaporizer without having to worry about being tethered by a cord.
There are so many possibilities.
You have me really interested in the E-Nano over the SOLO. I was going to message you privately, but I don't know how, and so I'll be asking about the Nano in the Solo thread. So sorry SOLO peeps, but hopefully everyone has a common interest in vapes in general, and won't mind too much.
I'm trying to buy and have a vape shipped out today so it will be here by Saturday. I have other vaporizers that are all great for different occasions (EVO is great for water, great for reclaims and keif - Volcano, Meh - Plenty, for long sessions with a single load and no bags, but temperature on all but the EVO are too low to help my needs, and condensation from water with the EVO takes away that extra bit I need sometimes). So, out of my vapes I do not have a waterless vape that reaches high heat like the EVO. I could try a plain glass piece on the EVO, but I need something always ready, where as the EVO needs a heat soak, a 'Central Location' (where one can sit, have everythng on the table and have a session - not exactly like just chilling with a bowl when you have to be at one location, plus all of the constant leaning). It also powers itself down during sessions, because after a 15 minute heat soak I have 45 minutes left to try to slowly wind down, while having to constantly lean forward to set down and pick the glass back up for a pull. I already have to do basic stirring, but the glass and needing a central area can put a damper on calming down or relaxing in hard times.
I could use the NANO or SOLO in my bed (wall outlet right next to me/my bed), I wouldn't have to lean forward every minute or so of a session, and then have the machine turn off 45 minutes after heat soak. I have major health problems, and too low of a temp on a vape can be hospital time for me if I don't smoke. So, I get the BEST results with high temps.
I was interested in the SOLO because of the test showing extremely high THC and CBD absorption overy Any of the desktop units tested. Once you mentioned the Nano I went to watching reviews. I saw Vapecritic say he really really liked it and he seriously felt like he felt more from the amounts used in the Nano (and no harshness!) if he were to use the same amount in another vape. Please, don't think I'm too irresponsible for rushing, and trying to make sure 'another vaporizer' is here by the end of the week, but if it is much better than the SOLO for homes use, I need to order the Nano or else I may honestly run out by mid next week and be in the hospital, and if I don't vonsrve/run out I have to go to the hospital after 18-36 hours. So, this is honestly a medical situation, and why it seems I am obnoxious with my extremely long messages.
Since I need such high heat, you can see why the NANO interests me (as I need the closest heat to smoking), and to be able to get the massive pulls he was getting from a 0.025 looks very promising for my health and the little money I have for herbs, where as the Nano or Solo may help me stretch it out, and the Vape (either Nano or SOLO) is going on a credit card so I'll have time to pay, where as my medicine/herbs can't go on credit :/ .
Questions: Does the Nano have any odor, taste, or chemicals you can taste or smell from the wood design? What is the benefit of the wood design? I have read about the pathway, and sounds like it is heating with ceramic and stainless steel. I think this is safe, but not sure if there is any off gassing. I had a terrible experience with a box vape from local shop years back and it tasted like pure chemicals. Does the NANO have an improved taste over other vapes? Do you notice the extreme potency out of small amounts I see so many reviewers speak of? Is it easier to take a pull and get strong vapor than the Nano? I'm used to vaporizers and know the need to be very conscious after the device heat soaks, as suddenly the heat can make for a combustion surprise after a thorough heat soak at too high of a temperature. So I saw a guy saying he was still trying to get used to learning how to use his Nano. That drove me away a bit. Isn't it straight forward besides being conscious of heat control, and all that has to be done is simply put herb in the glass, turn the Nano upside down to connect the glass, and then just inhale to vaporize the material, stirring 2-3 times? In the Nano group the one guy seemed to be struggling trying to work it right (even after a week or so), but like I said, I thought it looked simple and straightforward.
I understand the Nano and SOLO are for different occassions, with the SOLO being portable. The recommendation and occassion I need to order for asap is I am looking for the best conserving dry vaporizer I can find, and it is all about purity of the vapor path, ND most of all stretching material, and potency so I don't have to worry about hospital visits or combusting as often. My herbs are very strong, and so the herbs are not an issue of why I want higher heat or another vape etc. At this very moment I do not need a portable, but if it seems to extract more to you, that is what I will go with. If the Nano extracts more, that is what I will go with. I thought perhaps the Nano could decrease draw resistance people speak of with the Solo, but also increase extraction. Any opinions from you are greatly appreciated. I'm amazed by the Nano, and want to order it if the efficiency of this tiny dry vape is true, but I just want to be sure I am making the best purchase for when I need that extra heat, and the most thorough extraction as possible.
Sorry again for so much typing, but I'm hoping this will address all of my concerns so I can make a decision. Thank you so much for your time and help. I really do appreciate it.
