I can't vape you? WTF is that? You've seen me vape a chocolate chip cookie with Vick's. Is this some sort of challenge?

after 2 weeks of no shipping and no communication i opened up an ebay case for my solo.
A few days later got a full refund from ebay, no explanation. Back to square one.
Beware ebay seller vapovape

That's really good to know... and also a bummer as I was eyeing a solo+secret case for $146, which would be a seriously good deal (basically getting the case for $16 instead of almost $40).

So many solo options on ebay... one can even choose which model they want. Should I actually try to get an older one? have the latest ones been that problematic? now I wonder...

I know some people are going to say not to worry or there hasent been enough evidence that the new m1c models are problematic, ect. But if it were my money I would try to get a M1A or M1B.....If you cant then dont stress it but if you find a seller with these already (likely IMO-friend got a 1B last month) then even better

I'm starting to get worried, sent mine back to PV on Monday, tracking says they received it Wednesday, but I haven't received any response from them. :(

I have my solo for a few days now and so far I love it! This is my first vape and I never tried vaping before (where I live nobody even heard of vaping).

I looked for posts to see how does the solo compare to a desktop unit and I found several posts on this topic and people said it's like comparing apples and oranges.

Considering I never tried any other vape can someone tell me what am I missing out on with the solo that a desktop unit has (apart from most probably much less draw resistance)?

DESK TOPS are amazing!

HOWEVER not as convenient as the SOLO.
I use it many times a day for that reason.
Cheap, Practical, Fast, Smooth

DESK TOPS are really nice if you have the space and time:

Choose your DESK TOP based on these factors:

PRICE
SPEED
FLAVOR

Jumping into the fray. I have the V Tower table top which is an excellent product. I found the various pieces and setup to be less convenient then the Solo as well as consuming more product. There is nothing stealthy about the V Tower style laying out on the table. Love the Solo, hit it several times every day.

Just to be clear, I have an M1B1 and as I said, it works excellent providing great vapor and roasted ABV (if so desired). Working around the little defects in it's manufacture doesn't bother me unless the product breaks down quickly. As one user said, if it works, it works. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. One thing is for certain, I am certainly getting another Solo in the future. I am a satisfied user of the Solo.

Just received a brand new M1A1 model from PV!! (and a PVHES straight shorty :brow:).. was somewhat worried I would end up with a faulty M1C1 (not that all of them are faulty, but it's riskier, from what I read) but they decided to ship me an M1A1 instead, so that works too!

Anyway, I've been keeping tabs on this thread for a few pages and noticed some people mention different ways to get the most out of the battery. Can someone give me "best practices" on how to charge/discharge the battery to get the most life out of it in the long-term? Is it best to charge the battery to 100% and let it run to 0%? Should I charge it as often as I can (every 1-2 sessions) or let the battery run lower before recharge?

Also, before my first use, should I be doing any "purging" of the factory chemicals or whatnot? I had to do it for my ExtremeQ, but that also has a fan in it, where the Solo doesn't. Sorry for all the questions, I was expecting the manual it came with to be more thorough.

I would say your not missing much aside from larger bowl sizes and in some cases more accurate temperature. IMO after 5 or so years the solo is hands down one of the best devices on the market.

I would say make your next choice (if need be a desktop)base your decision on what your choice materials are, for example...concentrates, kief, hash, flowers, all 3, etc.

Either way, congrats on such a solid choice on your first time around. Welcome to FC.

This comes up a LOT, it's not hard to find discussions of it. I think the last time was a week or so back when I said:

If you do a search on the Battery University web page in that post for this thread alone you'll find 15 times that specific set of data has been discussed. Good reading there.

I just got my solo today. I currently own a davinci and it makes my material at 385 really dark brown, the solo at level 5 was comming out with a golden brown very nice looking avb. Nice thick consistent clouds. Started at 3 and made my way to 4 and 5 werent much of a different but i def think that 5 was the sweet spot. i had some decent meds with some crystals packed in a sandwich and vaped nicely. Da vinci is currently going to be retired. solo is great now i need to get some turbo stems for better airflow

The PV notched stems make a world of difference. You should actually learn your technique and work on you sweet spots a little more before dumping the cash. Now, if you are into water than I would highly recommend you to stop reading this exact post and go planet vape and order a PVHES Gong adapter now.

I love my solo sessions starting (and sometimes finishing) at 3. Often I too work my way up to 5 or 6 based on what juicy goodness is packed inside. Enjoy your new solo, make sure you share your findings.

If you don't FC has a way to shut your device off like the power company!

Thanks a lot, there seemed to be some misinformation flying around so I wanted to be certain. For my first charge out of the box, both the orange LED and the green charge LED were blinking at level 7 before I unplugged it, is that what I want to do every time I charge it? Or should I charge it to 100% on the very first use and then up to a blinking 7 on every charge afterwards?

Then before I use it, I will do 2-3 burn-off sessions @ 7, then vape for one more session after the LEDs don't indicate a charge anymore?

Should I be packing it before I turn on the Solo and have the herb warm up alongside it, or should I wait for the Solo to heat up all the way and then pack it? Again, sorry.. searching an 800+ page thread returns a lot of "fluff" so to speak. I do wish the instructions it came with weren't so.. lacking. Would be nice to have a central FAQ for the Solo somewhere to guide all of us helpless newbies.

Ok so i am getting a replacement warranty solo back. It is going to be a m1c1 i know that. Now i know thre are only a few incidents of m1c1's heating too fast or something like that. how do i know if my m1c1 is faulty? only if it gets up to heat 7 in like 20 seconds?

Why are you getting an m1c1 for a warranty replacement?
Where did you order from?

My warranty replacement is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday.
I've been Solo-less since November 8th. :cuss: :bang:

So the distributor I got this solo from are located locally to me and gave me an m1c1. Told me they received them from arizer 4 days ago...also said it's the newest model so what's up with the m1c1 model?

this is so funny :D

if you read back in this thread you will find that the m1a1 used to be the bad ones and people were trying to get a 107 one... so now the m1a1 are the good ones and the new m1c1 suck?

yeah sure! lol arizer has nailed down this device for a good while now ;) stop worrying over dazed and confused minds seeing patterns where there are no patterns (although i might have seen a fractal flying by...) :D

I thought M1A's were the newest ones.
Are the M1C1's newer???
Maybe that's what I'm getting too.
I don't follow those numbers too much.
And I doubt it really matters.
