Yea, I was surprised how thick it was too. It's def thicker than the f-bomb. I don't know about how the 2 pieces differ quality wise when it comes to glass, as I'm not versed in that field. Maybe someone could chime in on that. (the box that the PNWT came in said..American made scientific glass and All scientific cuts are fire polished)

The bomb is slightly slimmer and taller than the PNWT..

The difference in the thickness of the mouthpiece rim is even more pronounced (PNWT on top) I kinda like the way the thicker rim on the mouthpiece feels, although the f-bomb's mouthpiece doesn't feel bad or anything, just a minor preference.

Here's how the top level of both tools looks close up.. (bomb first)

Bomb gets filled to the middle of the M
MMlbBp3.jpg

I like filling the PNWT up to the bottom of the A/top of the C, otherwise the bubble feels too 'weak' as if there's not enough water (is not enough drag the proper term ?) That same amount of water will fill the bomb way up past the bottom of the first B (obviously WAY too much)

uNVaTuW.jpg

So the PNWT def has a lot more water volume capacity. Now you don't have to put as much water in the tool as I do, but as I said before, if I just filled it up till a little past the slits the bubble feels too 'weak' to me.

The Bomb on the other hand, when filled to the middle of the M (which isn't too much higher than the slits/holes at all) has even a deeper bubble (more resistance/drag?) than the PNWT when its at the bottom of the A)

I know it's kind of hard to see the slits on the bottom of the tools, but the ones on the PNWT are a little larger and there's more of them too. The little tube all the way in the center of the tool (don't know what it's called) is a little longer in the bomb.

The pics of the top of the tools show the bomb has 4 horizontal slits (2 at the bottom and 2 towards the top. That piece also comes alot closer to your mouth, than on the PNWT. The PNWT has 3 vertical triangular slits on the bottom, one bigger than the other , 2 horizontal slits directly on top of those and one more on the other side by itself.

Said I wasn't good with the technical stuff like terms, ect... Sorry I couldn't get clearer pictures either. The reflections were annoying & the bomb was a little foggy too. Anyways, both feel great to hit, MUCH better than dry path and you can handle more vapor because it's so smooth. I guess the PNWT has the potential to have more cooling due to a bigger water volume, but one might also argue that you don't need that much water, due to it being vapor and not smoke. BUT, if you do put less water in the PNWT is does have that 'weak' bubble feel.

Anyone that's on the fence about going the water path route and only dry vape, I would jump on that PNWT before that deal runs out !
Nice review...I am looking at my f-Bomb and the splashguard is lower than yours. Its in a similar position to your PNWT and also my logo on the F-Bomb is lower I think as using the the similar amount of water as your pic, the level hits near the top of the "M".

Will post my results when my PNWT comes and take some pics for reference.

Information for Europeans:

I ordered from vapovape on Ebay and got my black Solo (+free grinder worth ~10 Euros) within a month. The package was transferred via USPS and then handed over to DHL (German postage company). The customs fee was an additional 20 Euros. I also had to get a adapter for the US-to-Euro socket, which was another 6 Euros. So all in all I paid 138 (Solo + postage fees) + 20 + 6 = 164 Euros (= $222). This is still 20 Euros below the price on Amazon (184 Eur) and even less than from the various European vaporizer shops (~ 200 Eur).

Unfortunately I missed the last massdrop deal on the Solo. So if you're not in a hurry I recommend waiting for the next one to pop up. They're even cheaper on massdrop than on ebay and massdrop seems to have a good reputation so far.

What is this red o ring that I keep hearing about? Is this something I should order with my solo next week?

It's that for just the stems or is it also for gong adapters and water tools?

AFAIK, it's just used to hold the stem in a little better. I for one never felt a ring was needed as I've never had a problem with the stem staying in place. That said, a lot of Solo users find them beneficial. It's your call, but they're very cheap, in fact FREE in some cases as Vaporsvaporizer pointed out...

Not a factor in this case. This is a temperature regulated vape, the working temperature is set by the step you select. Lowered battery charge simply means the heater is on more seconds in a minute (or off less if you prefer). Up until the time you go to 100% "duty cycle" (on full time), of course.

Somewhere in that past in this thread I did a series of measurements on this very thing. In round figures loss of a full volt means about an 8% shift in Duty Cycle (say from 37% to 42%, the numbers for one Volt drop on step 7 in my tests). No change in temperature.

Not a factor as long as the heater light eventually cycles off again.

OF

 You're right of course. I was applying power-on-demand thinking to a constant-power device. If you noticed any difference it would be in heat-up and recovery times.

Good info, thanks. Let me add to that. I'm in Belgium and recently received my black Solo after a 4-week wait (2 weeks from Arizer order to Massdrop arrival + another 2 to get here).

I paid:
$119 for the Solo (88 EUR)
$16 for shipping (12 EUR)
35 EUR customs ($47)
10 EUR adapter ($13)
-------------------
$195 (144 EUR)

I was bummed by the inflated customs fee, but that was offset by MD's dirt cheap shipping.

(Note that MD might have switched to more expensive shipping by now; US domestic shipments were apparently taking too long)

BTW -- I'm loving this thing!

Wow that's even less! For me it would have been only 118 Euros without the adapter. Damn

Oh well nevermind, this vape rocks!

Hey Tommy! You lucky charm!!! :D

About that headache... Try putting a screen at the bottom of the SS heating chamber. It should just grasp the sides and slightly dome. It will raise the stem a tiny bit and you will have much better airflow without loosing much heat!

If you need even better airflow, make yourself a vapor lung and enjoy milking bottles and empty them in an instant! :ko:

Welcome to the club!
Still no luck with the vapor lung (havent tried since my first 3 a month back), but the domed screen in the SS heating chamber is genius. I've been contemplating getting around to buying a visa gift card so i could get some PHVES stems to try them out, but this mod seems to do the job of increasing airflow very impressively. Minimal draw restriction now, & my bong milks with even more ease. Thanks Farmer

You're getting ahead of me... a little, my PWT is still in the mail system. Taking the long way round. According to tracking it's presently in Vancouver enjoying the sights at customs. Will post side by side and any differences once I get it.
Couldn't pass up on the $50 deal and only $5 shipping to Canada to boot. I know some day I will need a back up tube as I it's not "if" but "when" it breaks.
Please note that I am not taking orders for the stands at this point and are including in AIO orders only pending what I have on hand.
The methodology I use is that I make stuff when I find down falls of products I use and search to find solutions for making life easier. Once @OF and @Dreamerr had their henchmen drag me over to the Solo thread, it has been a very cool experience. No regrets and you folks owe those two for their persistence. Gotta love win/win situations.

As I had said in my earlier post I now have some OEM compatible units up for adoption.
I took a shot of the Solo stands which gives a better idea of the colours and such. The green and orange are quite low key when not lit and still not too intrusive when lit. The black are ...well black. All have a satin finish with no added sprays and should last a life time.
For the curious, the LED is mounted facing the bottom and in fact if one was to peal back the felt bottom they would have a flashlight. Between the felt and LED is a small piece of foil to reflect the light back into the plastic.
P1050859_zps431ba13f.jpg

All are very close in cosmetics with very few blemishes. The finish is no longer glossy smooth but a smooth texture. The colour vary slightly but very close. This is do to mixing variances since counting drops. The dark horizontal streak you see in the glow versions is actually the wire going over to the connector. The new 1.7 mm connectors are the ones that have thicker metal around the outer connector rim.

Here's a couple shots of the rejects and moulds gone south which failed testing in one way or another. Learning curve is pretty much complete now. Always fun getting over that hump of getting stuff off the ground.

Hey Pipes how and where do you get the PWT with the $50 and $5 shipping to Canada. Also could somebody with the F-bomb measure its length and width for me thank you

...at $50 the PWT is basically being given away which makes getting both of them reasonable. Which do you prefer

Rather than both, get a PWT and a $100 full-size bub for home. Well, unless you have a million of those already. But still, I don't see why anybody would want both of these. The designs are too similar and they both have a price premium built-in for being tiny. It's only because of the sale I'm even considering the PWT, since 99% of my Solo use is at home anyway.

Anyone that's on the fence about going the water path route and only dry vape, I would jump on that PNWT before that deal runs out !

I've been trying for over a week, but TRVB aren't making it easy for non-Americans. I'm tempted to post their support responses, actually. They just seem not to give a fuck.

From The Real Vapor Blunt directly? I can't get them to give me a quote. They say they can't without taking it to the post office, which seems ridiculous since USPS quote all their services online, you just need to know weight and dimensions. Heck, I'd look it up myself if they'd give me the measurements.

How'd you order? Phone? Their site doesn't give shipping options other than Canada and the US, and they don't seem interested in taking an order over email. Made three stalled enquiry attempts now. If it was just an extra US$5 I'd jump on that in a second (seems damn cheap), but I can't get a solid number out of them.
