Arizer Solo

It's only been six weeks without combustion. I think the vapor on those higher temps is closer consistency to smoke. Maybe that's why I'm liking the higher temps??

Let me tell you what.... :myday:

Okay but seriously.
For probably 6 months straight before I started vaping.
I rolled up 3 grams in one of THESE... JUST to go to BED!

PVYFHCGl.jpg

On the SOLO power levels 2-4 taste excellent.
Power level 5 is like like levels 2-4 except "TURBO MODE"
Thing is, because of my blunt smoking habits, I don't even feel it when I hit the Solo on temps 2-5.
I'll inhale for a whole minute and the subtle flavor is all the lets me know I'm taking in vapor.
Well, that, and the huge clouds I exhale.
But I don't "feel" the hot/thick vapor in my throat unless it's on 6.
Anyway, there's another reason why Level 6 is my favorite.

There has been many a time I turn my solo on and hit it at level 3 or 4 or even 5 where I honestly didn't know if I was hitting ANYTHING until I start choking and coughing out of nowhere

Congrats on the 6 weeks , keep it up .
I'm guessing , it doesn't hurt to have the ' Sub ' either ....not to get OT

Which can also be purchased at Planetvape , along with the Solo...( nice save )

Hey guys,

Pretty much settled on the Arizer Solo. I have the Arizer Extreme and I have been more than impressed with that so I'm taking the plunge on another Arizer product.

I will more than likely stop in to one of my local head shops to see if they have it. What should I look for on the box to make sure I'm getting the newest model?

Thanks!
Buy it on line and skip the retail mark up.
I pay full retail for some items how ever the SOLO is so available and cheap these days.
Just do a web search.
Loving the look of this!......... Where did you get the tip???
I'm collecting them for my water pipes and SOLO stems.
SMOKE SHOPS have them between $6 - $12 in many different colors.
Or if you like:
http://www.pipesdaddy.com/Glass-Chillums-Blunts-s/47.htm

The sizes vary that's why I go to my Local Smoke Shop (LSS) to verify fit.
I take a clean stem with me. (don't take a dirty stem into your LSS)
I use a OMNICRON SILICONE TIP I cut to make a air tight seal.

See how I use the SILICONE to make the seal?
Look what you started? Now I need to buy some more!

When I first purchased the Solo I also started at level 6. This level gave me a very similar sensation in terms of throat hit and vapour density to combustion, and so was very useful in terms of helping my transition from smoking to vaping. I soon found though that I personally loved experiencing the full flavours you can taste on levels 2 & 3. So I usually start on one of these levels for a couple of hits - until the flavour starts fading and then turn the vape up to finish off. If I'm introducing someone new to vaping I usually advise them to try the higher levels first, otherwise they tend to feel like "there's nothing coming out!" ..... As lots of people have commented - it really is a matter of personal preference - each to their own and all that. :) :leaf:

I see Toronto vaporizer http://torontovaporizer.ca/portable-vaporizers/arizer-solo-vaporizer.html has them on sale now for 199.00 but you get a free zeus grinder that retails for 49.99 with it. nice grinder with kief catcher.

I noticed they've updated their web site since I last visited .
I would try to substitute the grinder for the vape case ( $ 49 also ) or the PA ( $ 39 ) .
Or just have the Solo for $ 150 , and take advantage of the ' local pick-up ' option .

I would Never pay $ 50 for Any grinder .
Even to this day ,
I usually finish up with my favorite way of grinding/shredding weed since age 16 .

Just noticed , you're new here .
Welcome to FC Seren .

Those are Chillums or Onies that ataxian thought of accessorizing the stems
for better smoother draw and All glass air path .
It's an upgrade from the Omicron silicone mouthpieces .

BTW , I'm trying the Omi tips backwards now .
It wedges in the stem for a perfect seal .

edit ;
this chillum looks like a perfect fit ?

Looks very nice however I have to verify the measurement with a actual solo stem.
They really are all over the place as far as size is concern.
Glass Blowers make them to burn joints not as vaporizing tools.
So there is no measurement practiced from what I can tell.
I need to learn how to blow glass. (or find a Glass Blower who's willing to create stuff for VAPORIZING?)
Go into a SMOKE SHOP and most water pipes are designed wrong let alone the CHILLUM'S?

They can't see the disconnect?

Maybe the shop owners are not demanding or promoting VAPORIZING?

Hey guys,

Have not posted in a while but I just tried a solo a couple days ago. I am sold; ease of use,
portability and clouds are amazing. I have a launch box I do not use anymore (did not get the satisfaction I was looking for) and an omicron (awesome, but still not what I was looking for) so I am hoping the solo will fill the empty void in my vaporless life.

Stop holdinout and get one .
And since you already have an Omicron , add the tip to the stem when you do get one .
You can report back to us about the differences on the stock stems .
But seriously , hurry up and join the fun .

You will experiment with different heat settings, packs, stems, etc. It's fun! The Solo is very efficient with bowl contents. I find that I can use very small amounts, or pack it fairly tight...either way it works wonderfully. Although I've got all the different stems from PV, my favorite is still Ed's Wood stem. For me, it breathes the best, looks fantastic, and no breakage worries. I usually start my heat settings at 2 or 3 (great flavor and perfect for daytime functions); on a full bowl, I can go at it all day and into the night w/2,3,4,5,6,&7 (with a little stirring towards the end). Earlier in this thread I reported a battery life concern, but have since figured out how to conserve according to my needs. Still, I am seriously considering the higher capacity battery from VapePower for extra-heavy usage days that may include friends. I do have the new Ascent on order, but can't imagine it retiring my Solo. The Solo is the vape benchmark IMO. Enjoy!

shit I do my sessions at 5 and bump up to 6 to finish :) And I have one of the old original Ceramic models that got the hottest.
I realize I'm a light weight!
I've tried going high and each time I get a burnt taste and I cough a lung.

I started two years ago at level 3. (or when the M107 was released?)
Today level 4 is all I can handle.
For a portable vaporizer the FLAVOR is pretty nice.

Most of the surfers BURN joints so the SOLO on level 4 would be a big turn off.
I could see how level 6 would work well for someone with extreme needs.
FLAVOR is so important to me.
Level 4 gives me no distortion of flavor.
That's why I'm so loyal to the SOLO.
They do a great job for my situation.
Maybe that's why it's called "SOLO" and not "EL GROUPO"
Some like level 3
others level 4
Level 5 for a lot of people
6 for those in need
Level 7 for extreme cases

That's why the SOLO is so popular.

Pick a level for your personal needs!

One important thing I've discovered is that even for a full bowl after several sessions on 3, by just stirring the contents a bit, a rise to level 4 will finish off the rest while leaving you with some very nice light n dry ABV. Flavor is pleasant all the way through. No lung blasts, but just the effect you're looking for. Hope this helps with exploration.

I will admit, though, that sometimes I use 6 & 7 if I want my head to pop:D

Should really work well. Do you think that by reducing consecutive temp settings rather than raising them helps conserve battery life?

At home, if I have an outlet close enough, I use the PA to reach level 7. Have stem ready. Unplug Solo from PA. Insert stem and then turn on portable on but immediately turn down to 3 while enjoying nothing but pure flavorful terpenes with no vapor.
2nd draw is where the fun starts. Still lots of flavor but visible clouds all this around the backyard or doing whatever while moving. Then proceed to run levels as usual. Mostly from 3 to 5 and finally to 7 for sedation and pain relief :)
Stay vaped my friends...

It would make sense to me. However up until now I've never raised it while using it... just got it up to 6, put the stem in, and kept heating it up to 6 before plugging it back into the wall. When doing that I could still get like 5 full sessions or even 6 out of one charge while taking care not to dip below the last two dots of battery life.

Hey Snappo, sounds like you're having fun with your Ed's. I got one a month ago used it about 6 times. While vaping and my thoughts wandering, I can't seem to be able to justify smoking through wood. The woody taste bleeds into the herb taste and I feel inhaling through glass is the best conductor of vapor. I focus on wood molecules being released into my lungs and there are no other variables that compensate for the wood, except non breaking, looks and tight fit. Your thoughts?

I personally don't consider the barely detectable (if at all) wood & vapor combo to be a negative factor at all to my enjoyment. I imagine as time goes on with use, the interior of the wood stem should become cured & more and more shielded by the accumulation of residue, precluding the burning off of wood molecules. I'm a big fan of old wood pipes and smoked meats, so wood smoke is appealing to me anyway. As I've said before...snug fit, good draw, TASTE, looks, etc., all work well for me.

oh I love the flavor as well. I actually start hitting my solo when its at 2(I always fill my stem then start to heat up(actually I turn it on and fill my stem so quick it's still at 1)) to take advantage of the flavor hits :)
