2) I know the pax "cooks" the herb continuously even while it's not being drawn. Does the solo work the same way? Or does it only cook the herb when you are drawing vapor through it.

The Solo does cook a little but not nearly as much as the Pax does. I find that the Solo never reaches the cooked taste that I get with the Pax after the first few minutes. It's there but it's comparatively mild.

I thought i was going to have a lot of trouble with the glass stem. I am a little clumsy with my vaporizers.
So far my bent glass stem has fallen on the floor no less than a dozen times. Out of the window of a car onto pavement three times.Keep it wrapped up in something for protection when you're not using it and it'll be totally fine. The stems are a lot tougher than you'd think.

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
I'm with you guys...... I haven't broken a single stem since I've own a Solo (2 yrs now I think), and that's both the stock AND PVHES stems. They certainly have had their chance to though, with their cement shop & barn floor drops, hardwood floor go flyings, and sink cleaning oopsy's. (I have to knock on wood now that I've spoke out on it, because Murphy's gonna screw with me... I just know it :uhoh: ).

Mind you, it's not my nature to take it into the city since I don't really get around much anymore, however, it 'does' see the rounds around the farm on a daily basis ;) .

Yeah i dunno if i'd take it into the city and use it on the street and stuff, glass stem seems a little clumsy for that.

But then again if I need to be medicating on the go and anywhere, well, thats why I own an O PHOS.

Hey everyone. Been lurking FC for a week trying to look at what vape i wanted to buy (trying to go easy on my lungs, been around cigarette smokers my entire life). Finally settled on the Arizer Solo when i saw the coupon code someone posted for $160. Will be getting mine in the mail hopefully sometime next week. I'm definitely excited, this vape looks awesome.

What temp setting do you guys recommend? I've heard combustion/bad stuff happens at 220c or so, which is still a little above the max temp setting. Also, are the temp settings on the Solo fairly accurate?

I like 5 and 6 but I go after higher temps always for higher release of CBD (more useful for pain relief).

Generally I like to do a couple bowls on 6, and then turn it down after that for better flavor.

When I first started using the SOLO I broke so many stems.
I started out using the bent stems (The first 10)
The straight stems I keep in the TRAVEL TUBES for protection as "EXIT" mentioned.
Padding your floor were you vaporize is essential as well.
I'm a cheap tight wad and hate to keep buying stems.
Since I'm a flavor chaser this is my solution to preserving glass.

I set mine at level 4.
When I reach level 2 I start drawing.
So at 2 I get a couple of Low Temperature rips.
Then when it reaches level 3 a couple more at that Temperature.
Level 4 is were my actual session normally starts.
Lately WATER PATH or DRY (Glass Stock Straight Stem with a CHILLIN Tip) on level 4.

This is "DREAMERS"!
I tried level 5 however it was to much for me.
Some people like higher setting levels as we all have different needs.

I like 6. Lower temps give me whispy thin hits.

it will really dependon your bud and your desired effects. for daytime highs without couchlock keep it below 4 but nighttime you can go all the way to 7. I suggest playing around with different temperature settings until you find out what you like, also you can start at 3 and bump it up each time it stops producing vapor (try going 3-5-7). I wouldn't worry about combustion at all, I think there has been one person who combusted one time in the 600+ pages and he was almost asking for it, using already vaped bud, ground to powder and packed as tight as possible.

It's only been six weeks without combustion. I think the vapor on those higher temps is closer consistency to smoke. Maybe that's why I'm liking the higher temps??
could definitely be a part of it, I know when I first switched I took every bowl all the way to 7 but I always started lower. I'm surprised to hear you say that lower than 6 is whispy because I could always pull several big rips at lower temps before bumping it up. What quality herb are you using? If it is lower quality or especially if it is older, it would explain it because some of the THC will have oxidized and turned to CBN which vaporizes at higher temps. if you are using medical grade herb though then I guess it has to be the fact that you were recently a smoker. I would try some lower temps, at least at first because the bowl will last longer and you get to enjoy the flavor more atlower temps

Hey what page is the coupon on? I can't seem to find it and would be interested in picking up an Arizer Solo as well! Thank you!

Figured I'd share this with you guys...This is a cheap alternative to the PV storage tube. I bought this from JoAnn's craft store for $1. It is found on the Glitter aisle. And it was obviously filled with glitter before I dumped it out.
After breaking my bent tube, I was reminded how this might help someone avoid breaking the straight one. Since I only have one left atm, I keep my straight stem in this tube when not in use whether on the go or not. PEACE

EDIT: FORGOT ALL PICS AND THE REST OF EXPLANATION

Now take a piece of paper...roll it up just small enough to fit inside the tube. Then tape it together. Stick inside the tube...and cut off even with edge.

Slide your stem in...you can see a bit protruding on the end. Don't worry...when you screw on the cap it won't be a problem. The cap doesn't go completely down, but it provides a seal that doesn't fall off and keeps odors in.

Hey guys,

Pretty much settled on the Arizer Solo. I have the Arizer Extreme and I have been more than impressed with that so I'm taking the plunge on another Arizer product.

I will more than likely stop in to one of my local head shops to see if they have it. What should I look for on the box to make sure I'm getting the newest model?

Thanks!

At the bottom of the Solo itself ,
there should be a serial #
The latest models are M1B's
previous # M1A's
M107 , M106 ....

Getting online will be a lot cheaper . imo
Depending on where you live , you could have one within 2 days .

i think anything m107 or newer will be pretty much the same thing but i agree online is probably the way to go, the codes I just posted are each $160 and my LHS wants $300 for it and I'm sure it has been sitting there for years.
