Same problem with me, I have a bad habit of never unplugging the charger for days. Same with my cell phone and laptop chargers. I have a new charger on the way but I will try this out.

I've always unplugged it from the wall , when my Solo was charged .
I've never left it in since I got it ....hmmmm .

Here's a picture I whipped up to explain the Micro-Dab from my understanding of it.
As far as the air supply goes, I'm guessing it flows in from the non airtight seal between the mouthpiece and the hash oil chamber.

Well in most cases I hear people saying something like this they are using inexpensive surge protectors, usually from wal-mart or something like that. Those are just not reliable. Unless you are spending at least 60 dollars or more on a unit from a respectable name brand like APC, Eaton or Tripp-Lite, you are not going to be properly protected from even moderately bad surges.
I seem to remember that happening as well. I just thought that the microdab had sort of disappeared because I had heard so little about it for the last few months and I figured if it worked then the people of this thread would be all over this shit.

I saw those microdab videos a while back on youtube and was not impressed... I don't know if the solo is capable of delivering a nice fat oil rip. Ive tried rolling a few looooong thin strips of 325 SS mesh into a cylinder to fit perfectly inside the stem, (to act like a volcano pad) and i got many thin rips out of a dabs worth on 7, but never any milky hits, and there was always some oil leftover after the long and unimpressive sessions. The best I have found is still to just add a dab to some herb and get more milky rips than you can remember at the end of the session. But... I was thinking this morning about another possible alternative. Thought of the microdab, and the eclipse vape and realized that these glass dram vials are the perfect size for the solo heater. I'm going to experiment with some tubing and some tops to see if i can get a nice oil hit out of this old vial thats been sitting here for a year. I knew there would one day be a reason for not throwing it out. ill report back.

Salvi, I suggest to do NO modifications not even an o-ring for weeks till you understand the solo. It takes time to fall into the perfect way for you to use it. After that you can switch between stems or using or not using o-rings with no issue. It is called muscle memory and you adjust almost immediately to the new situation.

That is why I asked about an enclosed bottom ( like a test tube ),
with the air holes an inch above the bottom , I like the narrowing part near the top .
or
a 2 piece stem , that can be detached .
If not , let's make one !!!
Why can't we do oils/budda in the Solo ? ( sans herb )

Here's what I put together in a couple minutes. It actually surprised me a bit, i put a dab in, got about 15 nice (still whispy but great tasting) hits, similar to the hits seen in the microdab youtube videos. However, there is still oil at the bottom of the dram, and it would take sooo many small hits to get it all. I'd rather use my DART! It is still cool though and will most likely be using it at some point or another, and its safe to say im medicated after that one dabs worth minus whats left at the bottom, so it did its job, just not aesthetically pleasing in terms of cloud size.
What i used was a bit of 1/4 inch inner 3/8 inch outer silicon tubing, slit a little hole in the side and salvaged the inner tube/stem from an old omicron cartridge. Fits perfectly and forms a nice seal when inserted in the dram.

Why use the screw tho ?
Can you attach the silicon tube directly on top of the vial with a good enuf seal ?
Just drop the oil/budda in the bottom of the glass vial and let it cook .
Do the micro-hit method and collect a big lungful before exhaling .
I'm actually enjoying ' your Macgyver ' method ... I'm drooling it can be achieved in the Solo .

Sorry I should have provided a better picture. The metal stem from the omicron cartridge is a tube, so it lets air in. Without this, you would not be able to suck. This brings air in when you pull and pushes the vape up and out

Hey Guys ! I need a little help to help a friend . So a friend of mine which is Located in Fairbanks,Alaska.. wants a Solo.. Can you tell me what is the best deal.. for him taking in account his location. His is not on a budget, but would like to get maximum extras /quick delivery.
He likes to vapor bong so i guess a gong would be nice.. I think that he would also like the wooden stem cuz it is good backup if you brake all the glass ones

For anyone getting into vapors I always recommend the solo. Almost no learning curve (it took me longer to explain to my brother how to pack than it was to use it), easy to maintain, and even satisfies heavy hitters looking for clouds. Plus it's adaptability to water is easy. I don't think you could go wrong with a solo.

But I bought my Solo from Puffitup.com last year for $ 160 and can vouch for their good customer serv.
I've also dealt with Planetvape.ca and the same can be said . PV has the bubblers and Gongs and
PVHES stems your friend might want . Both are authorized dealers of Arizer .

Poonman, did you ask PV if they will make your dabber as I suggested?
As poonman said puffitup has good deals and he will throw in extras like the wood stem. PV has all those other stems and gongs so if one stop shopping is a must I would check into PV first if not I would check puffitup since he does the extras.
